Experience a difference. A vacation like you've never experienced before. Prepare to be relaxed, rejuvenated, and throw in some adventure if your heart so desires...
As the sun rises in the east the soft clouds, like the cotton candy of endless childhood summers, illuminate with a thousand different pinks, purples and blues. With the smell of fresh brewing coffee you pull your robe tight and step out of the glass doors on to the observation deck and feel the southerly breeze and the warmth of the sun on your face.
Ahead of you you have a calm day of bird watching–literally on your doorstep. Or maybe you'll feel more active and decide to take the snorkel gear into the coral reef just a couple of easy miles offshore. You could even go kayaking in the Gulf or search for the catch of the day, for dinner, right from your backyard. Today is about choice, doing exactly as you please.
And once the day is done you can come back to the comfort of your home and relax to your favorite music–or even a movie– in the hot tub. A perfect end to a perfect day.
What can you do tomorrow? The options are endless but the result is always going to be the same; perfect relaxing days.

We stayed at Fishermans Paradise the wee of Christmas 2012. It was the Best vacation my family ever had. House was well maintained, so was the heated pool and Hot Tub. Home was equipped with everything you need. Just bring food and swimsuits. Fishing was the best. Caught a variety of fish right off the dock. The owner was extremely helpful throughout our rental process. A definite :WILL RECOMMEND"Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+.

This was our second visit to the house with a group of 11 people and we loved it even more than the first time! The house has been completely remodeled and from talking to the owner, even more is in the works! The whole house was beautiful and comfortable but our favorite things are on the outside of the house-the pool area is awesome, the fishing from the dock can't be beat and the key deer visits on our private beach are specatcular! We love this house and all that the area offers and can't wait to get back there in 121 days, not that I am counting!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, girls getaway.

My godson caught all kinds of fish off the end of the pier. (shark, barracuda, tarpon, snapper). The dock was perfect for our boat which we left tied to the dock for easy fishing and snorkeling adventures. The pool was a refreshing break on almost every day as was the hot tub in the evening. It was wonderful to have the daily visits from the Key Deer… We got many good pictures of them. The kitchen was AWESOME and the beds were high quality and very comfy. The yard service came and did a GREAT job a couple days before we left… The pool guy was very nice and he showed up promptly to do his job each week. We will definately stay here again and again!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, romantic getaway, pet owners, tourists without a car, families with young children, adventure seekers, girls getaway.

My family and I have been coming down to the keys for years now, staying in various resorts and private residences and I can say that this was by far the best trip we have had yet!!! From the moment you open the front door you just loose yourself in the unobstructed water views that run the entire length of the estate. As you walk to the rear deck you can see the infamous Bahia Honda Bridge to the south and to the north you can see the Old wooden Bridge that connects No Name Key to Big Pine Key. Be sure to drive up there (3-4 Mi.) and eat at the No Name Pub, the pizza is to die for!!!! The rest of the property has just a pure classic keys private compound feel to it. From the Old Worm wood gate that welcomes you into the estate to the lush landscape around the pool area you just feel like you are home. The inside of the property is straight out of a homes and garden magazine. From the largest stainless steel refrigerator I have ever seen, to the subway glass title back splash in the kitchen, you are just surrounded by elegance and beauty. Plenty of space inside and out to enjoy time “with” and “away” from the kids. Also we brought a 32 foot boat, which the dock accommodated nicely and there’s space to park you trailer within the compound on the front of the property. The fishing and the water access is as good as it can get. Direct open water access, 4 min to the south and you’re in the Atlantic for diving and snorkeling and 4 min north and you are in Florida bay for flats fishing. It’s the best of both worlds!!! As for the other posts on this site that are negative about the property and the staff I just didn’t experience any of that at all! In fact I spoke to one of the people that were taking care of the grounds and she was very helpful and gave us some tips about the area. She also made sure that everything was ok with my family and asked if there were any issues to feel free to call her anytime. I think that those comments are from people that are never happy with anything no matter what you do. Unfortunately the internet gives everyone an opinion so this is why I wanted to share my amazing experience about the property. All of my family just had the best time ever and we have already booked the property again for next year. We are all looking forward to visiting this little hidden piece of heaven in the keys again!!! Thanks for everything! ....The outside is in desperate need of repairs. Upon driving up our first impression was, "oh no"! We rented this home as per the listing AND the owner we were told it slept "8-11" people. We had 8 in our party & the newly updated upstairs has 3 bedrooms with king beds (sleeps 6). The downstairs listed in the description was smelly & musty & has obvious mold on the tops of the walls. In addition it had used cigar butts in the corner of the room. (Yuk!) ) When we mentioned to the owner it smelled, she said it was from the river.(There was an obvious smell from the river & seaweed but this smell in the room was different). She advised us to turn the AC unit on down there to cool it off (maybe she thought it would help the smell but it did not). We could NOT use that room for the two additional people in our party, it was a health hazard. Anyone with any type of allergies would easily react (as did 2 members of our party) The owner supplied us with two blow up beds but did not compensate us for not being able to use that sleeping space as mentioned in the listing. Those people in our party had NO privacy as they had to sleep in the living room upstairs (and they paid an equal share of the rent ....which was not right) Our first day there the TV's would not work,(they were fixed) & when it was time to cook dinner we tried the gas stove but it nor the stovetop would work. We then tried the gas grill as a last resort and it too DID NOT work either. We finally realized there was NO gas! The owner sent someone out who came two hours later! By then we had ordered pizza. The hot tub on arriving was 113 degrees, so hot it could have scalded someone. The washing machine overflowed twice in the first two days. The ice maker did not work, not even enough ice for drinks the entire time we were there. The wood walkway/dock was "covered" in bird poop, very unattractive & unsanitary. Both houses on either side of this home had clean docks. We have rented many many times thru VRBO even in other countries & this was by far the worst experience we have ever had. The caretaker & owner both made us feel like we were complaining needlessly when all we expected for the HIGH rent we paid was fairness & for things to be working and to have a pleasant environment. When you rent a home in this price range you have every reason to expect it to be "pristine". What should have been a fun filled pleasant vacation was stressful & uncomfortable. That was far from what we had planned.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 8/9

Our vacation was made perfect by our stay at this beautiful home. The roomy living space with an open floor plan made entertaining our large family very easy and relaxing. We had spectacular views of the ocean whether we were inside the house or outside by the immaculate pool. At night, we soaked in the hot tub while watching the bright stars and listening to the ocean. The dock had many great amenities - a fish cleaning station with water access, lights on the dock for late night boat trips, and a covered gazebo to lounge in to take a rest from all the sun. There were plenty of fish whether you wanted dinner or just wanted to be a spectator. It was easy to get in the water from the ladder at the end of the dock and there wasnt any rocks on the seabed. Lastly, the owner was patient in answering all of our questions, gave info on the surrounding area and attractions, and was a pleasure to do business with. We look forward to coming back as soon as we can get away again!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, sightseeing, romantic getaway, pet owners, families with young children, adventure seekers, girls getaway.

Our family had a wonderful time, and the best part was unexpected, we have stayed here before and truly enjoyed the house, but mostly the great pool, dock, beach and gazebo, but the house was completely renovated, I mean they gutted it and it is beautiful with a gourmet kitchen and beautiful bathrooms in each room and the interior has opened up somehow so you have a 180 degree view of the ocean from anywhere in the living room. We always want to be out fishing off the dock or the boat but we spent more time in the house this time. There were so many stars at night and from the jacuzzi it was perfect. If you have never been to Big pine Key it is the perfect place with Key Deer walking thru the property and only 30 minutes to Key West. Be sure to go to No Name Pub on No Name Key, lots of fun, dollar bills stapled everywhere on walls and ceiling and the best pizza! We can't wait till next year!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, sightseeing, romantic getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, girls getaway.

We stayed 23-30 July 2011, mini season. We had 3 families 12 people all together. We brought two boats. The boats were 23 ft for both of them, The dock had plenty of room to accomodate them. It had lights, electricity and fish cleaning station with water. Yes, we had the east winds during our stay and yes there was accumulation of seaweed by the seawall. It did smell around the beach front and 20 feet of the beginning of the long dock, which I recommend a dolley for scuba tanks and ice chests. The pool was secluded and the pool water was cool and refreshing. There were plenty of seating around the pool also. The parking for vehicles was very nice with plenty of room with a carport. The outdoor shower was a big hit also. The house was very open with fantastic sunrises and yes, it was dated, but Nikihila will be refurbishing the home soon. Some of the furniture should be replaced as well. The pool table was a hit with the teenagers and no problems with the internet service and tv's. She added a new ice chest and I would recommend a ice machine next to it for convience. We saw deer and racoons on the property during our stay. Overall, we had a great stay, good times with friends and were on the water everyday except Friday when we went mopeding down in Key West which is 30 minutes away. There is a great snorkel site towards the bridge a quarter of a mile south from the dock. Three bomb craters loaded with lobsters and we saw a barracuda on it! Overall, a great time!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, adventure seekers.

Positives: great location for fishing - easy access to bay and ocean from the dock and a nice pool area. Negatives: the house is very much in need of updating and maintenance and the accumulation of sea grass and trash in front of the house is so unsightly and smelly we couldn't sit on "the beach", nor could we have enjoyed a fire pit (there wasn't one).Owner response: Thank you for the positives. It is great to get feedback that I am already in the process of correcting. We are doing a renovation on the entire home starting at the end of August 2011 till early October. The entire house will be updated and brought to a very high standard. There is no fire pit in my listing for this home but that is something that I may be able to add for the future. As far as the smell, it is the seaweed in the Keys and something that is a natural part of nature. The trash in the Gulf is picked up in a timely manner but I cannot help things that float in during the week thanks to mother natures' winds. We have gotten a couple pieces of equipment in the last week that may help with this issue and are going to start implementing them in the next couple weeks. I am looking forward to all the changes that will be taking place in the next two months and cannot wait to share them with future guests.

This place has it all: a beautiful fishing dock where we caught and released barracuda, sharks and all kinds of fish, a great pool area, a hot tub overlooking the ocean and ample sleeping space for our group of 9. We couldn't have been happier with our stay. We spent every day fishing, floating in the pool, relaxing in the hot tub, and playing pool. The house is stocked with plenty of linens and kitchenware for our large group and the laundry room was a great help as well. Everything else you need is nearby-groceries, pharmacy, bait shops, restaurants and bars. Our greeter showed us where everything was that we needed when we arrived and the owner was helpful and responsive when we had some other questions. The property itself has great charm and could use some updating but everything worked great and was very clean. We have and will recommend this property to all of our friends and family and our group has already talked about booking again for our next spring break vacation!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, sightseeing, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
