Welcome to unit 706 in The Shores Club! The balcony of our condo directly overlooks the NON-DRIVING beach. We greatly enjoy sitting on the balcony, and recently purchased new lounge chairs for it, watching people walking on the beach and listening to the sound of the waves breaking.
The Shores Club is a wonderful building with a number of full time residents. The way the building is designed, every condo directly faces the beach plus has a view of the Intracoastal waterway from the “front” side. We vacationed there several times before deciding to buy our first Condo there, and now have purchased this second unit in the same building. The facilities are well maintained and it is very safe with electronic locks on every outside door (including the gate to the beach) and secure covered parking. It has the usual amenities of a heated pool, an exercise room with a sauna and tennis, shuffleboard and basketball courts. But our favorite thing about the building is the location; it is located about 200 yards south of the cut-off point for driving on Daytona Beach. It makes it so nice to be able to walk on the beach right in front of the Condo without having to watch out for traffic, especially when our daughter and her friends go out on the beach. The Sunglow Pier is within easy walking distance (you can see it in the picture of the beach above) and has a restaurant right on the ocean, Crabby Joe’s. We’re about ¾ of a mile south of the Dunlawton bridge and about 2.5 miles north of the lighthouse at Ponce Inlet; it too can be seen from the condo balcony.
The Condo has a large master bedroom with a king-size bed and sliding glass doors that access the balcony. With the glass doors and the large windows you have a great view of the ocean while lying in bed. There’s a private master bathroom and a huge walk-in closet. The master bedroom has a cable TV with VCR.
The guest bedroom has a queen-size plus a twin-size bed. There’s a second full bath just off the hallway leading to the guest bedroom. And although the guest bedroom is on the back side of the unit, there’s a view of the Intracoastal waterway out its window. A cable TV is in the guest room. Linens and towels are furnished for both bedrooms.
The living room has a pull-out sleeper sofa, a loveseat and a very comfortable recliner. It has a cable TV with a VCR. But of course the best feature of the living room is the view of the ocean out the windows and sliding doors!
The dining area has a table that seats four and a bar between it and the kitchen that seats two. The kitchen is beautiful with a dome ceiling, tiled countertops and white cabinets. There’s a view of the Intracoastal waterway out of the kitchen window. The kitchen is fully furnished with cookware and dishware and is equipped with a refrigerator, stove, microwave, dishwasher, blender, toaster and coffee maker. We've now installed high speed Wi-Fi.
In December 2007 we completely renovated both bathrooms of this condo. They are now completely up to date and look fantastic.

We’re non-smokers so we insist on no smoking in our Condo. However, for our guests who do smoke, smoking is allowed on the balcony. Also, no pets are allowed.

Our family just had a wonderful week in this condo! Being on the non-driving part of the beach is both safe and peaceful. We love Crabby Joe's Restaurant on the pier in walking distance and our 14-yr.-old loved fishing there. All 5 of us had a terrific vacation. We had everything we needed with ample space and comfort. The view is the best. We'll return.

We enjoyed our stay there very much. After two weeks there, we felt like family. Everything needed for inside and outside was available. I particularly enjoyed the quiet, no-drive beach and lovely view of the lighthouse from the balcony.

We just stayed a week at this condo, and I must brag that this place had everything you need. I don't remember the last time that my family enjoyed a better time at the beach. Everyone there was friendly and the place was so clean and comfortable. We felt very safe with the security of the building and parking garage. We will be back next year for sure. Thanks so much for a lovely Daytona memory.

We just stayed a week and absolutely loved the place. It was comfortable, convenient and very clean. It has all the amenities that we needed with two teenagers. To wake up looking at the sunrise over the ocean every morning is breath-taking. This will be our next beach destination. See you on the beach!!!

Hi, We just purchased this condo in February 04. Although there is a renter in there now, we haven't yet had anyone depart since buying it that we can solicit comments from. The folks we bought it from mostly used it themselves and so had it decorated very nicely. I'm sure you'll be pleased if you choose to rent this unit.
