    Thank you so much for sharing your home with us. We loved staying so very close to the river. We enjoyed hiking in RMNP and fishing in the back yard! We even caught a few! The house was perfect for me, my daughter, and son in law and 2 grandchildren. I really love that I got to bring my dog along. Thank you again and I hope we will be able to come back to your home next year!

    What a great place! We truly enjoyed our stay at River Run. We caught several trout off the steps during our short stay. What a treat to sleep with the windows open and the sounds of the river. Sure beats the hot weather of Kansas in July. Enjoyed our day trip thru RMNP. Saw elk, moose, but no sheep on this trip. Landscape and mountain views are breath taking for sure. Pizza Palace and Daves Smokin BBQ had great food. Thanks for the use of the grill as well. Thanks again for the use of your cabin!

    We booked River Run for seventeen days and wish it could have been longer! The cabin is just down the canyon from Estes. However, once you step out on the back deck, enjoy a meal at the large table in the screened porch, or simply sit in the fenced back yard, you are only aware of the soothing sounds of the river and you have plenty of privacy and have the backwoods sensation of what Colorado was like decades ago. Our grandson loved watching the trout swim beside the steps. The Walkers have a picture in the den of their large family. The cabin makes you feel so much at home that you leave with the sensation that you are now part of that wonderful family.

    Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with young children, pet owners, sightseeing.

    We had such a wonderful time at your cottage! We had a few rough spots getting here, but the instant we arrived and saw and heard the river, all our issues were gone! My boys and husband loved fishing and wading into the river and it was a treat to sleep with the cool breezes and sound of the water so close. RMNP ws gorgeous; we saw elk, moose, bighorn sheep, chipmunks, ground squirrels, eagles, marmotts, etc, in addition to the stunning beauty and serenity of the mountains. It was far beyond our expectations. Thanks for a wonderful place to visit!

    Great time fishing. Caught 13 fish on a fly. the grill was great and had a great time Thank you for sharing your fun cabin! We all enjoyed it! Finally got to read a book for the first time in months!

    We had a delightful time in your wonderful cottage. It is so spacious and fit our family beautifully; 3 yr old, teenagers, and adults all had a blast. We loved the zipline, the toys upstairs, and eating right next to the river. We also loved the candles and REALLY appreciated the wireless internet. The beds were quite comfortable and you can not beat the sound of the river. We had fun wading in the still area at the end of the zipline. Did not see any wildlife this time but the birds song was lovely. Sure wish we could have used the firepit, but all the wildifres you guys are dealing with are scary. The cabin was a nice respite after camping for 3days in RMNP. We loved the close proximity to Estes. We agree with earlier guests that Napal s can not be missed. Mama Rose s is okay... best part is the atmosphere and the architecture. It sure was hot in Estes when we were here. I dont think I have ever had to search for a place to cool down; normally we go into town to warm UP! But the cabin was cool and the upstairs cooled down enough at night for the beds to sleep comfortably. We sure hope to return and stay with you again!

    We very much enjoyed our stay at River Run Cottage. My wife and I, two daughters, son in law, and grandson bonded for one week. We took family vacations when our daughters were younger, but this is the first vacation with the whole family since their college graduation. Plus it was our first vacation with our 2 year old grandson. He liked the slanted floor in the summer porch, the patio, the slope leading down to the river, the porch and really everything about River Run Cottage. Thankfully we did not encounter the neighborhood bear, but we did see many elk, moose, including moose and her calf, deer, marmotts, chipmunks and many brds. No trout, but we ate trout at Wild Rose Restaurant in Estes Park; very delicious meal. The grill was awesome. We had at least 3 grilled dinners on the grill, plus grilled marshmellows one evening. We grilled marshmellows since the drought had caused a burn ban in much of CO and surrounding states. We could see the burning in the distance, but furtunately here there were no signs of the fire other than one night, during the night, when we smelled smoke, but no signs of it by the next morning! Thank goodness! Thank you again for the hospitality, the phone call, answering our emails, and the relaxing cottage for the week. We will think of you again if we are able to arrange getting to this area for vacation. Thank you,

    We have had a fantastic time here at River run and in RMNP. The cottage was a perfect fit for our family and friends. This is the perfect jumping off ground for RMNP and even more inviting place to relax after days spent hiking and exploring. Our three boys have certainly enjoyed themselves here! If you are looking fo rgood pizza we suggest Chicago s Best. A great off the beaten path Mexican place is Mexi-Kal on 7 Hwy Happy Trails

    We enjoyed our visit to Estes Park. We saw a black bear, big horn sheep, beavers, and elk. We loved the sound of the river. The cabin was very comfortable and we spent a lot of time out back. Our son enjoyed fishing off the steps. The weather was great, Thank You.

    Our family of 6 had a memorible experience at this cottage. Lots of space. Would deffinitlly stay again. The bathroom is small multiple families would probably not work. For sure worth every pennie.The netflix was awsome.

    Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

    We had a delightful stay. Comfy beds, watched The Help, read, relaxed and gave thanks to have been in Estes Park, Rocky Mtn. Ntl Park while the sun smiled upon us. This area is sooo beautiful and although i live in Colorado Springs, I still marvel at the majestic beauty in the surrounding areas of this fabulous state. Your home is ver comfortable and the river is the icing on the cake. We enjoyed a mallard duck floating while waiting for his mate. They seemed to settle in here. Thank you for providing a delightful stay. We love it

    Such a wonderful and relaxing weekend! Thank you so very much. Caught a beautiful Raiinbow trout off the steps befoe leaving!!! My daughters first fish! Wish there had been more... but very smart fish! The fishing guides also know about your place... saw sevral guding up your stretch of River. Thanks for sharing your home; much needed rest and relaxation for us; wonderful!

    it is so beautiful and cool here. We live in Tucson, AZ and left behind 100 deg temps. After being in the cottage for a couple of hours, my son has caught 2 trout. We had a fire going most of the evening whiel we played cards. We love older homes and this one has a lot of character, like many of them. I love hearing the river from inside the cabin. We celebrated my husbands 60th birthday here

    To all my fisherman friends... Fishing here is challenging, but it is really cool to fish right out the back door! Read the rules and regs. I caught one fo the most beautiful rainbows ever from anywhere in this cottages back yard, but I had to work unusually hard to get it. Anyhow, this is a beautiful place and easy to find. We look forward to our first vacation with our first grand daughter today along with our daughter and son n law. Thsi place is a nice retreat afer all the business and activity of Estes and the Longs Peak Highland games; that is why we are here. Thanks,

    Thank you for sharing your charming cabin with us. It was a great base for attending my sister’s wedding in Estes Park and for our own family vacation activities. We even had a sighting of the “neighborhood bear" when my brother came to pick me up for a 5 a.m. hike. We caught several trout off the back steps, enjoyed smores in the fire pit with extended family, and many other activities that RMNP and Estes Park have to offer.

    We had a great time. My sister and my daughter and her husband had never been to Colorado before. They thoroughly enjoyed themselves. We especially enjoyed dining right down by the river.
