About Us:
Grouse Haven Cabin was built in 2003-2004 by the current owners. The cabin was named Grouse Haven because while we were building we could hear the Grouse birds in the area “drumming”. The cabin is secluded in a red pine forest with lots of Mother Nature in its surroundings. There are trails for hiking and cross-country skiing. There is also a picnic area located at the lower end of the 90-acre property that you can get to by hiking trails. The cabin is located in the heart of the Finger Lakes with close proximity to Penn Yan, Hammondsport, Watkins Glen, 2 miles to Keuka Lake State Park, the Finger Lakes wineries and Keuka college.
Keywords: Cabin located on Bluff Point secluded in red pines for privacy, within the heart of the Finger Lakes with hiking trails, and close proximity to wineries, antique stores, Keuka Lake State park, Bristol ski mountain, cheese tours, The Windmill, and resturants.

Perfect for those looking for a quiet secluded location! But...still pretty accessible to wineries an other attractions. This was just what we needed to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. May I suggest new pillows and a new wine opener? :) Great if you have pets! Thank you and we will be back!Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

This is a great place for a quiet getaway. The large property affords easy access to a quick hike and is central to the greater fingerlakes region. The bluff on Keuka lake is one of the most beautiful spots in the world and this tastefully decorated cabin in the woods fits in perfectly. Phylis and Mark, the owners, are very gracious and available for any questions. My family and I had a wonderful time. I highly recommend this property.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.
Owner response: Thank you!

My wife and I recently completed another stay at Grouse Haven. We have been back several times since first renting in 2005. This cabin is in a great location for those who are looking for peace and quiet while still being in the middle of all Keuka Lake has to offer. Our first trip included our two sons and our dog and there was plety of room, with multiple sleeping arrangements in the loft as well as a nice master bedroom. With the trails on the property, the State Park (with boat launch) right down the road, wine and beer tasting, several good restaurants and short day trips to Canadaigua and Seneca Lakes this is a perfect place to stay while exploring the western part of the Finger Lakes. The owners are very helpful and attentive and are nearby if you were to need anything. Don't forget to visit Garret Memorial Chapel during your stay, you won't be dissapointed.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, pet owners, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.

We had a very relaxing stay at this cabin. Easy interaction on arrival and departure. I loved sitting on the porch and hearing the wild turkeys, grouse, woodpeckers, squirrels and many more sounds of wildlife. Heating hot dogs over the open fire was a refreshing break from big city life. Thank you so much for sharing this wonderful property with us. Being able to bring the furry member of our family made this trip complete.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.
