This lovely 3 bedroom, 3 ½ bath townhome has just been totally renovated (April 2011) with all new bathrooms, new Frieze carpet, floor tile throughout living space, new window treatments, new furniture, outdoor shower and more.
Fabulous views of the Robert Trent Jones Golf Course. Only an 8 minute walk to the beach (so close you can sit on the deck and hear the waves), 5 minute walk to the tennis courts, Dunes House beach restaurant and bar(our favorite) only 8 minute walk and complex pool is across parking lot.
Renovations have this villa with a very open living space, dedicated pantry space, new dishes, half bath off living area and everything newly painted.
1st floor Guest Bedroom provides 2 double beds and TV/DVD. There is a brand new private bath with stone colored tiles, travertine counter, and frameless glass shower. Sliding doors to the back deck also offer fantastic golf views.
The spacious 2nd floor master bedroom has a king bed with a flat screen TV and DVD. The new, enlarged private bath has a wide travertine counter, large tiled shower enclosed with a frameless door/wall all in lovely travertine style porcelain tiles. A balcony off this bedroom is perfect for morning coffee, listening to the ocean waves and watching golfers.
The third bedroom is “child/adult friendly”. Two double beds and 1 set of bunk beds provide ample sleeping. A closet houses a pack and play portable crib, Exersaucer for toddlers, changing table pad and a toy box full of toys. Another balcony overlooks the golf course. An enlarged private tiled bath has sand colored tile, wide granite countertop and tub/shower.
At the top of the steps are a desk, chair, and a bookcase in case there is studying or emails to be caught up via Wireless internet provided
There is a full washer and dryer in the utility room off the kitchen, with also a food pantry
Each bedroom has its own thermostat so no need to worry about fighting over the temperature for each guest.
Centrally located inside the North Gate of the Palmetto Dunes Oceanfront Resort your villa is .4 mile to the water's edge, general store, Outfitters for bikes and kayaks, outdoor heated pool and The Dunes House for oceanside dining and drinks. And real close to three world class golf courses within Palmetto Dunes resort.. Palmetto Dunes Buggy is a FREE on demand door-to-door shuttle to the beach, Shelter Cove Marina, Shops and Restaurants. This shuttle will run from April 1, 2011 until September 30, 2011.

Our family really enjoyed staying here! So close to the beach and pool and we enjoyed watching the golfers and wildlife from the decks. It is really close to the Dunes House, which is a great beach hangout, and the General Store and you can ride bikes easily to several putt-putt places and to Shelter Cove. The villa is great with lots of room and modernized bathrooms. At the many condos we have rented in the past, there was never adequate storage space, but this unit has a great walk-in pantry to put groceries and other items. It has a big covered porch which was great for putting all of our beach stuff and an outdoor shower. It was nice to relax on the deck and grill out too. We definitely recommend this place and we'll be back!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, adventure seekers.

Have just returned from a 6 week stay at this townhouse. We had a very relaxing time. The owner has showed great attention to the bathrooms which are new and very nice. At one time for a few days, we had three couples there and there was more than enough room for everyone. The unit was very clean. The kitchen could use a new set of pots and pans, as we cooked in a number of times and did not have a pot large enough to cook spaghetti noodles and some are in showing signs of wear. The 2 times we contacted the management company with concerns, they were very prompt and complete. The view of the golf course is great, just at the ladies 18 tee box on the Robert Trent Jones course. Well positioned in Palmetto Dunes, it was quiet and hardly any traffic. Nice cul-de-sac type lodging. A little too chilly for the pool, but did walk in the ocean. Very pleasant short walk to the beach and it goes on forever. Can't go wrong with this unit as I know the owner is continuing to update as time goes forward.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, age 55+, families with young children.

About the owner: We are a family of 4 (2 young daughters) and try to spend as much time on Hilton Head Island as we can.
Why the Owner Chose Water Oak Villas:
We bought in this location because of the asthetics of the Island, the bike paths, beautiful beaches, and the fact there are a ton of things to do but never feels too commercial. We chose Palmetto Dunes and Water Oak Villas because of the closenest to the beach, quietness even in peak season, bike paths and amenities (golf, tennis, restaurnats, shopping, Dunes Buggy)
The Unique Benefits at this Villa:
The beach is a short 8 minute walk. Great to get over early mornings and find sea life and early evenings for a romanic stroll. The 11 mile lagoon is great to kayak, fishing and wild life viewing. The three golf courses on site are tops on the Island. And there are other things such as a day trip to Dafuskie Island, the Island Nature Center, taking the kids to the SandBox on rainy days, buying seafood at Hudsons and grilling out on the deck to the sound of the waves crashing on the shore that we enjoy.
