Our cozy 3 bedroom Cape Cod house is our beloved second home where we like to spend our weekends and summer vacations.Recently, we added 4th bedroom with bathroom/shower and kitchenette in the basement so there is now an option to rent the house as '3-bedroom' or '4-bedroom' version. Cape Cod is the most popular summer vacation destination in New England and at the same time one still can find beautiful quite secluded beaches and numerous hiking trails. Master bedroom has queen-size bed, second bedroom has two full-size futon beds and the third bedroom has twin bed. There is also pulled-out twin size bed/chair in the living room.There is optional fourth bedroom/bathroom in the basement (additional charge applies). Two full bathrooms, central air and high speed internet. Kitchen has everything you need for cooking (fridge, oven, stove, dishwasher, all utensils and dishes). Very nice 'Buddha' Garden is private, has large barbecue area and 2 bikes in the shed. It is only 5 min walk to small beach which is perfect for young children. It is about 6 min drive to the large ocean beach in Falmouth or 15 min drive to beautiful state South Cape beach in Mashpee. Shopping, restaurants, supermarket and health clubs are all within 10 min drive. You may want to take a drive to see magnificent National Seashore beaches or for nightlife and shopping in Provincetown. Activities for kids include miniature golf, children's museum, aquarium in Woods hole and balling, carts, carousel in Hyannis (all within 10-30min drive).Bikes and water toys in the garden's shed.
Our house is located on a small street inside a 1.5mile peninsula, away from the main traffic. It is quiet and it takes only 5 minutes to walk to the small association beach in the morning (not open ocean beach although water is salty), right across from a huge uninhabited island. One can swim to the island and hike there; you need town's permission if you want to camp there over night. Kayaking is popular around the area. Swimming is great till about mid September.
It takes about 10 minutes to Mashpee Commons for great shopping and restaurants or 15 min to Falmouth downtown for different kind of shopping and night life. There are few nice health clubs, massage and yoga places in the area.

Our family stayed here for almost a month while we waited to buy a house in Mashpee! It is a great place...the back yard is like heaven..beach is a close walk and the house is well stocked and cozy! Plenty of room and the owners are LOVELY people! Mashpee and Falmouth super close and in a good neighborhood. We really appreciate the owners hospitality!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, pet owners, age 55+, families with young children.

About the owner: We are professionals in the mid fifties. I am a lab manager in the research lab in the hospital and my husband is child psychiatrist. I also have a small business and am an owner of Arboretum Natural Cosmetics. I love making natural skin care products and creating new ones! We have two children 17 and 22 years old. We love to spend time at our Falmouth house! It is the most relaxing. It is our second home where we go on the weekends or vacations.
Why the Owner Chose East Falmouth:
We chose to buy a house in East Falmouth because it is close to Boston (about 1.5 hr) and it has all features we were looking for: privacy, proximity to the beaches, nice backyard, enough bedroom to fit our family. We did a lot of renovations in the house to suit our needs too: new floors, new roof, central air.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
I love walking five minutes to a small beach to go for a swim at early morning hour. Water there is probably the warmest at the Cape and one can swim till mid September. I like to swim across to the huge island right across the beach- it is uninhabited and one can spend a day there walking the trails and spending time on the sandy beaches which are almost empty even in the mid summer.After breakfast we usually drive (6-7 min) to the large ocean beach in Falmouth or to South Cape Beach in Mashpee- this one is huge, you can walk there for a long time. My husband likes golfing which is near by, We like to bike also- there is 14 mile bike trail in Falmouth which goes to nearby Woodshole.Our house is located on 1.5mile penisnula, away from general Cape's traffic. I like to bike around our peninsula if I want to do just 3-4 miles. There are a lot to do- shopping, restaurants and cinema are all near by.We also often take a ferry from Falmoth downtown to go to Martha's Vinyard;s island for a day trip or to Nuntucket island. My kids love going to the end of the Cape to Provincetown or go hiking in the lower Cape.
