Serene Creekside Chalet by Majestic Alyeska Mtn. in Girdwood
- Minimum stay:2 nights
- Internet:Yes
- Pets allowed:No
- Wheel chair accessible:No
We offer a peaceful getaway in a quaint log cabin. The suite accommodates 4 and is located on the lower level of the owner's home. Our location provides for both the adventurous, and for the traveller looking to de-stress to the sound of a trickling creek.
The chalet has a newly refurbished kitchen, and ensuite bathroom. After a long day in the great outdoors our queen size bed will comfort your weary bones to sleep. In the morning fresh ground coffee, teas, hot chocolate and breads will help you welcome a new day of activities.
Cross-country ski straight out of the door or head to the ski lifts just a few blocks away. Try your luck panning for gold at Crow Creek Mine or hike the Chugach National Forest. Pick up this year's gifts at any of the many local artist craft shops. Other sites worthwhile visiting like Portage glacier, Whittier, Seward are all within short driving distance.
For lazier days you can relax in front of the TV, playing the WII or reading one of our many books or just enjoy the company of good friends on the patio and barbecue to the backdrop of Mt. Alyeska.
We look forward to seeing you and share a piece of our Alaska.

Immaculately kept, comfortable, beautiful, peaceful, all the comforts of home. Our week at the chalet seemed to go much too fast, and it was a very wistful goodbye. Laura and Soren (and Barley) are most gracious hosts, and they made sure we had everything we needed. Lots to do within a short traveling distance--railroad/conservation center/and glacier tours within 10 miles, and Kenai peninsula for day trips. The price per day is beyond reasonable!! Highly recommend!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+.

My first reaction on entering this home was "WOW". I loved the ambiance the minute i set my eyes on it. The first thing i noticed were the three wooden blocks which said " Be welcome, be warm be at home". That's exactly how my family and I felt. Loved the collection of their books and films. A treat in true sense. Going back totally relaxed and rejuvenated with a keen desire to visit again and soon.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Alyeska Chalet. It was a wonderful place to relax, write, think and to use as a base to see the breath taking sights Alaska has to offer. Equally close to Anchorage and the Kenai Peninsula, this chalet is a wonderful place to stay at night then see the sights during the day. Laura and her family could not have been nicer. It is the perfect size for an individual, couple or small family. I found it to be clean, appealing, had plenty to do, and everything worked as it was supposed to. It was much nicer and more appealing than hotel rooms in the Girdwood area that are smaller and a lot more expensive. I highly recommend this property for your consideration. You will not be disappointed.Recommended for: Families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+.
