The Real Montana

From the moment we drove thru the timber entrance gate, meandered over a clear rushing creek and encountered a vista that stretched for miles, we knew that this property was truly something special. For one glorious month, we found a piece of the real Montana that one usually only reads about. A quiet solitude surrounds this unique home. Here the terrain seems to blend into the housing structure. Decks and balconies serve up the beauty of landscape yet not one home, one road or one mark of civilization mars the view. A secluded hot tub nestled in the hillside offers starlit nights of pure relaxation. Inside a romantic master bedroom comes complete with a fireplace, a balcony and an open shower with a wall of windows overlooking the mountains. Sheridan itself is a true cowboy town. It is Montana without the glitz and glitter that many tourist areas seem to thrive on. Needless to say, with over five rivers of fishing renown, the Ruby Valley offers the fisherman or woman a host of opportunities. To say we enjoyed our stay is an understatement. We only hope that we can return year after year. We were fortunate to meet the owner and had only help and assistance from the agents who handled the business side of the rental. We even heard from the representative in Sheridan as she literally called before delivering her new baby. We highly recommend this listing, this area (Sheridan) and of course, Montana.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+.
Owner response: We are delighted that you loved the house and the area so much Robert and Susan... thanks for the great review and please do come back and visit us soon!

We recently stayed here during our annual fishing trip. Pictures and the description do not do this spot justice. The home has every amenity imaginable and the location and views from the home are stunning. We enjoyed the hot tub and sitting on the multiple decks looking out over the valley. At night we enjoyed the two fire places. Highly recommended.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway, girls getaway.
Owner response: Dave, So glad you and your friends had such a nice time... thanks for visiting and please come back soon!

We recently stayed four days at this beautiful house overlooking Sheridan, MT, and the Ruby River Valley. The house was gorgeous, the weather was gorgeous and the experience was fantastic! We visited Yellowstone National Park a couple of hours away but could have spent all four days doing nothing but sitting in one of the several outside areas. Down the mountain about four miles eat at the Inback Steakhouse or have a beer with Josh and the gang at the Stockman Bar. Eight miles down the road at Twin Bridges the Ruby, Beaverhead and Bighole Rivers meet to form the Jefferson and offer some of the best flyfishing in the world. The management was very attentive and even fed-exed my backpack which I foolishly left behind. We certainly plan to be back!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, sightseeing, families with young children, girls getaway.
Owner response: Larry..thanks so much for visiting us...please come again soon!
