Newly Renovated Chatham-Bayview Beach House--Central a/C

  My mom, my sister, and I just returned from a one week stay at the Bayview Beach House. The house is perfectly situated in Chatham, allowing easy access to all ares of Cape Cod. The house was spotless, very roomy, beautifully furnished, and oh so comfortable after spending our enire vacation outside hiking and biking. The owners have thought of everything you would ever need in a vacation house, such as beach chairs/toys, gas grill ,washer and dryer (including the detergent!), paper products, coffee, salt and pepper, sugar, and the list goes on. There was even a brand new heating pad for sore muscles. The bottle of wine, Perrier water, and snacks to greet us upon arrival were an awesome welome as well. A lovely, quiet beach is just down the street while the beautiful village of Chatham with its many quaint shops and restaurants is a just a short drive away. Diane, the owner, was extremely helpful with any questions we had. While in Chatham, we would highly recommend for outdoor entertainment; watching the seals at the Chatham Fishing Pier while the fisherman unload their catch, and for eating; any of the many goodies at Marion's Pie Shop, fresh caught scallops from the Chatham Fish Market, and the delicious fried seafood at the super fast and casual Kreme and Kone. Other must do's in Cape Cod include whale watching out of Provincetown, spending time at the wild and wonderful Cape Cod National Seashore, driving on 6A to historic Sandwich, and biking the beautiful Sea to Shining Sea Bikeway from N. Falmouth to Woods Hole. We would most definitely recommend the Bayview Beach House to anyone who would like to feel at home while on vacation!

  We just returned from a magical visit! We loved Chatham and this house was the perfect home for our vacation. The recent renovations (we stayed a few years ago as well) are fantastic. The house was immaculate and beautifully decorated. The neighborhood is fantastic and we loved the nearby beach. It was just large enough for our family to play but small enough to be quiet and peaceful. Of all of the homes we've rented for family vacations, this was far and away the most enjoyable. It significantly enhanced our visit!

  We began this summer with a vacation to Cape Cod and stayed that this rental property again (we first rented this place in September of 2011). It had the best of what we needed for a family friendly vacation. It is walking distance (even for toddler legs!) from a beach that feels like a private hide-away...no throngs of tourists, no need to pay for parking badges, just plenty of room to make sand castles, splash on the shoreline and relax. We walked to the beach in the morning, headed back for kiddie nap-time, then drove back to the beach after dinner. It's a short drive to a lovely little town (Chatham) where there is plenty to see and do (lighthouse and beaches, shops, baseball, concerts, old fashioned candy/ice cream shops, etc). It is also about an hour from Provincetown (we enjoyed a great whale watching day trip), so it's a great home-base for many Cape activities. The home is clean and nicely furnished, and the kitchen and bathrooms must have been renovated recently because they are sleek and beautiful. It has an outdoor grill and full kitchen, dishwasher and washing machine; all were very handy. We didn't want to go out to restaurants for every meal, so we were able to make the kids' favorites and even had our own lobster and clam bake. I loved that the house was stocked with beach supplies and toys. My little Prius was packed to the gills with the normal luggage, carseats etc. that are needed when traveling with a 3 year old and a 5 year old, so it was great to not have to stuff it with beach chairs and pails and shovels. Highly recommended!!

• Perfect Vacation

  We just completed a week's stay at this home and truly enjoyed our stay. The accommodations were impeccable and well represented in the photos. Our interactions with the property owners were very pleasant and professional. The home is a 10 minute walk to an amazing beach that is never overcrowded and offers tremendous natural beauty. The homes location additionally offers easy access to Chatham and Harwichport Centers, where we were easily able to take advantage of catching a Chatham Anglers game and an old town band concert in Chatham Center. We have two daughters, 4 and 6, and they could not have enjoyed themselves more. We plan on booking the home for next summer!

  Thank you for an incredible vacation! We stayed at this house for a week at the end of June in 2011 and it was absolutely perfect. The house itself is incredible! It is newly renovated and decorated and it is absolutely beautiful. The pictures do not do the house justice! And the location was great. A quick walk or drive (with free parking) to the beach at the end of the road. The house was in a very quiet neighborhood just far enough away from the craziness of the Cape, but close enough for a quick drive to the beautiful downtown Chatham and the rest of the Cape attractions. The house has everything you could possibly want and in a great location! It is certainly a great value given all that you get and such a reasonable rental price relative to other offerings in the area. I could not ask for more! In addition, the person renting the house was great to work with. Diane was very friendly and responsive to all of my many questions and inquiries heading into our vacation week both via email and the phone. And because we were traveling from such a far distance, she was very accommodating in helping us with some travel issues/supplies to help us out for our vacation. Within days of leaving the rental house, our security deposit was returned to us in full. I could not have asked for a better transaction and person to work with...thank you Diane! The overall experience was perfect...I could not have asked for more. The house was great. The location was perfect. And the homeowner was exactly what you want from someone you are renting from. I hope to stay here again if we come back to Cape Cod with the family in the future! Highly recommended to all!!! -Chris S
