  My husband, and I, and our golden retriever stayed at this ideal beach house for 2 weeks December 5 to 19, 2011. The reality was even better than the listing description and I would wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone. I loved the view of the sea from our very comfortable queen bed with deliciously soft linens. I loved the 2 minute walk to the beach. We had drinks on the deck every night and could see the Atlantic. The backyard pine trees afforded a good view outback as well. The weather was delightful. When it was a little cool, the heater in the living room provided plenty of warmth. I enjoyed cooking in the kitchen, with the window over the sink Ilooking out on the pine trees in the backyard. Everything was clean and tidy. The bathroom shower worked well, lots of very hot water. One of the things I liked best about the house was all the light. Two big windows in each bedroom, with cross ventilation. Lots of windows in the living room and kitchen and bathroom. The Lost Dog Cafe and the Wich Doctor and Crab Shack were some of our favorite restaurants in town, a 20 minute walk away--or bike away. We also enjoyed looking in the little stores on Center Street as well as driving to Charleston, Beaufort, and Savannah. I am 59 and this is one of the best vacations I have ever had in my life: relaxing, fun, refreshing!!

  We had a great time at Jackson's Pearl. Very clean and even had fresh flowers waiting for us. Loved the fact that the house, beach, and some restaurants were dog friendly. I wasn't ready to come home after a week there!

  Pefect place for a late winter get away from New York's cold and snow. This was our second year and we're looking forward to making it an annual event. This charming unit is right across the street from the beach with a great beach view from the deck.

  Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, pet owners, age 55+, families with young children, people with disabilities.

  This is our second visit to Jackson's Pearl, it is the perfect hideaway for some well deserved vacation time. The "Pearl" is a Folly original, the house is warm, inviting, clean and fully equipped with everything you need, just bring your toothbrush and flipflops! The house is across the street from the ocean, sitting outside on the porches is peaceful & tranquil, the sound of the ocean just lulls you to sleep. It is pet friendly and our old "Jezebel" had a wonderful time exploring the beach, swimming and playing. The owners Lindsay and Jack could not be more accommodating, we highly recommend "Jackson's Pearl" and are looking forward to our next visit! Donna & Dave Baccarini Black Mountain, NC

  The location is perfectly peaceful and easily accessible to the beach. Very clean, renovations wonderful. Would definitely recommend and plan to return for more family beach time.
