This was my first trip to Dominican Republic and let's just say I'm ready to move there permanently! This condo was decorated beautifully with a real "at home" feel that made you feel like you were living in Punta Cana as a local and not a tourist. The condo is centrally located with so many nearby restaurants and shops which made it super easy to get around. Also, the private beach at Playa Turquesa is phenomenal! It is so well-maintained with the most gorgeous water and soft, white powder sand. In my opinion, this property had a better beach than the fancy resorts had...by far!! I've been on other Caribbean vacations where I have stayed at all-inclusives and I must say that staying in a private condo was a far better experience. You really get to experience the Dominican culture including the people and food while being right on the most beautiful beach! I highly recommend this property to anyone looking for an authentic Dominican experience all while getting to experience the luxuries of a penthouse condo!!

The perfect ambiance for an island getaway !!!

Your condo was the perfect backdrop to the perfect vacation! Every room was decorated in a fun and thoughtful manner to feel like a home away from home and not like a run-of-the-mill hotel room. The beach was by far the best within walking distance, as far as maintenance...most other beaches were filled with seaweed, ours never was, nor was the water! The water truly was turquesa and the sand was the softest white sand that never burned your feet! Also the location is the perfect distance to the pool, beach, and the heart of the actual punta cana culture! You are across the street from many restaurants, and walking distance to many more--all delicious that we went to...or you have the options of grilling on the patio with a pitcher of mama jauna!

Your condo is amazing, we loved all the little touches that made it feel like a home, everything was there and ready for us to use... even a blender for those frozen margaritas! Your binder of information and transalation of common words and phrases was extremely helpful! I really think you have thought of everything! This past week was very peaceful. For most of our time there, we had the pool to ourselves, which was really nice after spending the previous week at a very busy resort. We bought fresh lobster on the beach twice and had an amazing supper both times. We enjoyed the area as everything was so close by and convenient! Thanks again for sharing your condo with us! If/when we go back to the Dominican you will hear from us for another rental!

Excellent!!

We were a group of four (2 couples) and this place was perfect for us. The pictures posted do this place no justice. Everything inside was so beautifully decorated. The location was perfect and convenient. Pretty much anything we needed was at hand. The laundry closet was stacked with plenty of clean towels and the washer/dryer was definitely a much appreciated added bonus. The view from both rooftops were superb and offered different scenery. It was perfect for sunbathing! The pools were very clean and refreshing. Awesome pool view from the main balcony. The walk to the beach was quick and pleasant. However, the locals were pushy with trying to get you to buy stuff (massages, souvenirs, hair-braiding, private excursions etc..). Be affirmative but polite with your answer and keep it moving and you will have no problems. We ended up doing a speed boat excursion that lasted a little under 2 hours for $35 per couple. We stopped to go snorkeling along with other tour companies and then to the "natural pool" which is really just another area in the middle of the ocean/beach in which the water was very shallow. Overall it was a fun excursion and worth the money. The food in the area was great and there were plenty of restaurants to chose from. Theresa did an awesome job in helping us choose which restaurants to try with the binder of great places to go to along with useful tips and maps. Very neat and professionally done! Also, the prices for food were very cheap compared to the prices in the states. We never had a bad meal and no one got sick from the food/water! Having so many supermarkets/mini-markets was really a great advantage too. Overall, this was a great and pleasant stay. The only problem we ran into was that our safe stopped working due to a dead battery. However communication was key and thanks to Theresa and Todd this was resolved almost immediately. The hardest thing was having to say goodbye to this piece of paradise! Thanks again Theresa for sharing your beautiful condo with us. We hope to return soon!!

Super relaxing

This condo was exactly what we needed it!!! With 2 kids (6-11) and one tod(2) this is the place for relaxing and enjoying the real Dominican Republic. We spend a fabulous 8 days, from the fresh bakery in the morning right on the corner to the almost empty pool, super delicious restaurant across the street, this is the place!!!. Don't get stock in the all inclusive deals, this place let you enjoy the real people, the real food in a great place. We stock in Pola Supermarket and make our lunch and eat dinner out. You can take the bus (only 30 DR pesos) or take a taxi and shop and eat at the Mall (Palma Real or San Juan). walk around the condo (less than 10 min) and will find easily 7 restaurant with great menus and if is not in the menu they will make it for you. Some restaurants close for the low season(summer) but most are open. We even went to Sirens Water Park and was a full day of running swimming,sliding and eating. Theresa (the owner) was more than helpful with a lot, lot of questions. We highly recommend this place and will loved to come back again. Thanks Theresa for share your paradise!!!!

I just wanted to thanks Theresa for her help on our fact finding mission to Punta Cana. The condo was in great condition and was in a very convenient location for what we were trying to accomplish. The keys were waiting for us when we arrived and there were plenty of towels and fresh drinking water as well. Thanks again Theresa and I highly recommend your condo.

My kids favorite vacation ever!

Thank you for a wonderful experience. My kids 8 and 14 loved the condo, the pool and trying out a bit of Spanish with the locals (most knew english). My favorite part in additional to the great meals at the restaurants you suggested was the dolphin adventure. The condo was lovely and so was the complex. All the people were friendly and we found your book of what to do in the area very helpful. The girls loved the the dolphin adventure, walking across the street to the bakery every morning, the hammock on the balcony, the pool and the beach. I was amazed at how clean the water and beach were. We loved our location, we could walk anywhere we wanted to go and all the excursions picked us up. Thank you again for the lovely accommodations. I can tell you put a lot of thought into what your visitors would want and need. You even had games, wine glasses =), 3 tv's, water dispenser, pots/pans, toaster oven, laundry and more. Well done. We will recommend to friends and we will be back!!!!!!!!

My family of five stayed here and had an awesome time. We loved the pools and the beach and had plenty of space in the condo to spread out. Alex the taxi driver helped us out a lot. He often couldn't come pick us up but would have someone else do it who either spoke some English or Alex told him where to go. We loved having breakfast at the bakery and also enjoyed Outside In. Theresa was a big help when we were planning our vacation. She would answer questions very promptly. We also recommend going on the Ouback Safari. That was one of the highlights of our trip.

I have been to the Island my times but this was my first trip to Punta Cana.Everything you see and read about this beautiful condo is what you get. The very friendly Dominican Taxi Driver named Alex was there to pick us up at the airport for the start of a week long picture perfect vacation.The Dominican Republic is an awesome place to spend relaxing time. Being in a clean, well-maintained, beach front, roof-top condo made this trip the best of all my vacations here. Plenty of great restaurants and means of inexpensive transportation are nearby. The owners are very helpful in making great suggestions as to places to visit. We enjoyed a variety of new experiences. And best of all, the white sand, blue water, and sunshine are at your front door! Enjoy!!

Just returned from a fantastic week long vacation in Punta Cana with my husband and 9 year old son. The condo was beautiful - exactly like the pictures! Playa Turquesa has excellent amenities and the property had excellent security. We spent every day on the beautiful beach and many nights on the rooftop terrace - we even had fireworks our first and last night:-) We had gone back and forth between renting our own condo and an all inclusive resort - we were EXTREMELY pleased with our decision! We ate at the condo 1/2 the time and out the other 1/2. Nearby restaurants Balicana (our favorite) and Outside in were fantastic and very affordable. Lunches on the beach at Acqua Beach Club and Soles were great - toes in the sand! The bakery across the street was a daily treat with warm fresh baguettes every morning! We spent less by renting a condo and didn't skimp on a thing! Theresa was extremely helpful with our planning and lining up Alex for our transportation. We highly recommend this condo to anyone looking for a beautiful escape from it all! Thanks for sharing your little piece of heaven - wish we were sill there! P.S. Try Canopy Tours Ziplining!!!!!!!!!!

We enjoyed a lovely Christmas week with our grown sons, DIL and 3 yr old grandson. Condo was clean and presented just as in pictures. Plenty of spaces with Condo to have solo time or hang with the whole family. Easy access to local resturants & grocery made it very handy. Large grounds area made it nice for casual walks and easy access to beach. Owners were extremely helpful in pre-trip questions as well as arranging airport shuttle. No car required. Internet was a nice plus. December weather a little windier than we would have liked, but regardless, a lovely, relaxing week away!

We have no interest in "all inclusive" resorts and hotels, and wanted to be on our own in Punta Cana. This condo was absolutely perfect in every way imaginable. The location is in the center of everything. No car necessary. Great restaurants, grocery stores and bakery right outside our door. The beach is beautiful, the condo grounds immaculate. The best part is being immersed in the local community. The locals are friendly and the area is very safe. A week was not enough. Thanks for making your place available. See you next year!

Our first trip to Punta Cana--It was awesome. I've used VRBO for about 15 years with no bad experiences. This condo is just beautiful--the owner gave great attention to detail. It was very comfortable with everything we needed to live there. We cooked most nights and the kitchen is quite nice. The grill was great and we loved the roof-top terrace. There was a great breeze up there and we laid and looked at the stars at night. The beach and water were perfect. We snorkeled right off the beach and saw angel fish, lobster, and something brown and white with long spines that we did not dare to touch. Not a single scary thing all week. There is a very nice dock right down the beach and the water is so sparkly and beautiful. We snorkeled there also and saw lots of fish. We took our 22 year old daughter and she loved it also. We all felt very safe. The condo is right across the street from the grocery and bakery. The grocery takes credit cards (with your passport) but the bakery only takes pesos-- there is a currency exchange very near the grocery. A trip to the Balicana Asian restaurant is a good idea.

Fantastic Getaway

I can't tell you how much we enjoyed our getaway to this luxurious beach condo. If we weren't sitting on either of the 2 balconies enjoying the views, we were packing up for the short walk to the beach. The beach was absolutley gorgeous. The water was colorful and clear and the pure white sand beach was far superior to my recent visits to Florida and the Bahamas. The location was so convient to all that we needed. There was a bakery, grocery store, numerous restaurants and nightlife all within walking distance. The most advantageous aspect of our visit was how affordable all of the surrounding amenities were. We can't wait to return!
