Our family of four were very impressed with the property, clean, bright, and best of all no signals! The location was quiet yet not isolated. We enjoyed the hiking, fishing, kayaking, and building sand castles. The Musky Day in Boulder Junction was a pleasant surprise. And, the Discovery Learning Center in Manatowish Waters was educational and the children enjoyed the free tours.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

The lake was even better than the last time we were there with a new swimming dock and we really enjoyed floating in the net chairs while watching the children play. The property was immaculate and we really enjoyed watching the wildlife this time. The birdfeeders were filled and the interaction between birds, squirrels and chipmunks was very entertaining as were the hummingbird feeders. We enjoyed visiting several restaurants and the grocery in Mercer was very nice with a bakery and fresh fruits and vegetables, etcRecommended for: People with disabilities, girls getaway, families with young children, age 55+, families with teenagers.

well maintained and high quality home. beautiful setting. No false advertising here. Well priced. The only thing I wish we had known is the long hilly very gravelly road access which made bike riding a challenge. Home and kitchen very well stocked. Would definitely return.Recommended for: Families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+.

We had such a nice, relaxing time. The place was so nice. It was clean, spacious and almost had that new house smell. We went up north with the idea of relaxing and having a nice family time. We did that. Having two teenage boys, one going away to college this fall, it was important for us to have one last family vacation. It was nice. I used to go up to Phelps when I was younger. It was great showing the boys where the old man used to go when he was a kid. Caught a ton of small bluegill. Would be fun for small children. We saw loons, eagles and a bunch of deer. Coming up-north was just what the doctor ordered.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

If you are looking for a northwoods retreat to unwind in comfort this is it. The property is very inviting with many amenities. While the lake is not swimmer friendly (silt bottom), it is very quiet and serene. (There are numerous swimming spots only a short drive away) Thank you for sharing your little slice of paradise!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

We spent the first week of June 2012 at the DeVine cottage, the cottage was absolutely gorgeous, a large open great room with beautiful hardwood floors and knotty pine cathedral ceiling welcomed us when when we first arrived, the bedrooms are suprisingly big, the bathroom and the kitchen area are also a suprise, again beautiful. The seclusion was just what the doctor ordered close to town(about 3 miles) but far enough back in woods to find peace and quiet. I had been to the Presque Ise area 20 years ago and was pleased to find that very little had changed ( unlike Minocqua) Prersque Isle is just a cross roads with Thomas, a combination gas station/bait shop/convenience store 2 bar/restureants the P.I. Pub and the Skyview and a few other shops. We stayed on an off week, just after Mamorial day. The locals( very friendly and helpful ) told us all about the fishing, what, where, when and how to catch fish, they would have taken us fishing at no cost had we asked. We did some fishing on Mermaid, caught some pan fish, a few Walleyes and had 2 Muskies hooked but never netted ( no steel leaders ) the weather wasn't the best for fishing, cloudy and windy during the day but almost perfect in he evening. We did fish Crab lake one day and Horsehead another with some luck on Crappie and Perch. We spent most of our time just relaxing and enjoying the great outdoors, sitting by the fire telling stories, the wild life Loons(close enough to touch), Humming Birds, Deer (saw a albino Deer) Chipmonks and the Red Squirrels that don't seem to mind humans. On a scale of 1 to 10 I would rate this vacation a 9.99.Recommended for: Sightseeing, people with disabilities, girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.
