This was one of the most amazing places and gifts i have received in a long time. The cabin alone was just amazing in its setup. The management of it all was more than helpful. They were more than kind to us and i would return and rent a cabin again, let alone highly recomend them to anyone who is staying in the Smoky Mountain area. The cabin was clean and well surplused in utensils for no worries of any kind including awesome fires for the night.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, people with disabilities, tourists without a car, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children.

The Cabin was just as described on line and in the pictures. There are quite a few steps to climb for the " more mature" crowd, perfect 2 bedroom with 2 seperate baths and hot tub on a screened in porch. We stayed in March so we still had firewood for the Fireplace and it was nice extra on a chilly evening. Close to anywhere u want to be in the Smokies but not so close to all the hustle. We plan on going again when the little ones get a bit older and will definatly use this cabin again.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

Overall, cabin was very nice. There were 4 of us--2 parents & 2 children--and the space was a bit cramped. Did come with some nice amenities, such as dishwasher, microwave, washer/dryer, good showers, hot tub. Nice & quiet. Roof could use some additional insulation--steel roof was LOUD on rainy nights. Location was good, though we had a hard time finding it with directions given to us. Typed address in GPS and had no problem.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, families with young children.

The cabin's location is wonderful. We were able to visit all the attractions in Pigeon Forge as well as Gatlinburg and still feel like we were "away from it all". The kids loved all the board games and the Hot Tub!! My wife and I loved the wood burning fireplace and the front porch swing. Cabin was very clean. We will definitely stay here next time we are in town!Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

This cabin was perfect for our family! There were 5 of us total and still plenty of room to move around. My husband and I took my parents and our 9 year old son. The bedrooms are very large and extremely nice with each sporting a king size bed and their own bathroom. The eat in kitchen is very roomy as well. We loved building a "real" fire each night with the firewood provided on the back porch. The ladies in the office treated us like gold. One of the tvs died and within an hour of calling we had a brand new LCD flat screen installed. She even brought us extra cookware to use! The living room furniture is very comfy, and stocked with all sorts of games. We loved sitting in front of the fire while having an UNO tournament! Thank you so much for thinking of the little things! We will see you again in March!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
Owner response: Hi Amanda! Thank you for the kind words! We cant wait to have you stay with us again and just to make this cabin better we are putting a brand new hot tub on the back porch!

The property was clean, comfortable and well-maintained except for the hot-tub. It had no water, thus unusable. There was also some type of disturbance on-going at the next-door cabin the first night that required the police being dispatched. We woke up Saturday morning to the sound of chain saws and leaf blowers as a crew was onsite cleaning up the road way directly across from our cabin and then progressed on up the hill as the morning went on.Did you find this review helpful? Heartsong cabin was pretty much as we expected although the photos on the website make the living, dining and kitchen areas look much bigger than they are in reality. The cabin was cozy, comfortable and clean. It is nicely decorated and well kept. The management company was warm and friendly, and our experience was a positive one, though it could have been even better with attention to a couple of details. 1) We were disappointed that we were not able to cook breakfast, as the nonstick coating on the supplied frying pan(s) was peeling off and there are a number of reports that eating flakes of nonstick coating is hazardous to one's health. The owner could easily remedy this by switching out the cookware. 2) It would have been very helpful to us had an iron and ironing board been provided.Recommended for: Age 55+.

We love Echota Resort because of its location. The resort is easy to get to, with a feeling of privacy although it sits right on the main road in Sevierville. Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg attractions are easily accessible, and it's nice to have lodging that is not in the middle of the congestion associated with the Parkway. The location really can't be beat, since there are many attractions in Sevierville as well! We love this particular cabin ("Heartsong", Echota #78), because it is family friendly. It is just as pretty as the online pictures, and was sparkling clean when we checked in. We got there at 4:30, and it was all ready for us! It sits in a wooded location backing up to a hill. While there are a couple of other cabins nearby, the setting is still peaceful and private. Since we brought our son and his family, we appreciated the fact that both bedrooms had identical amenities. Both had king beds with good mattresses, full baths with separate vanity areas, large closets, and Direct TV. The wood-burning fireplace was clean and ready to use, with plenty of wood on the screened-in back porch, although we didn't use it because of the warm weather. There was a large dining table which seats 6 in the kitchen, and also another eating area at the counter with 4 bar stools. As I said before, perfect for a family with children. We were told ahead of time that the hot tub on the back porch was not working, and were given a discounted rate because of that. However, we did not miss the hot tub, being busy with all the Smoky Mountain attractions. The staff at Old Mill Lodging was wonderful to work with, even calling to ensure that we were happy with our accomodations. The ladies I talked to at Old Mill were courteous and friendly, ready to answer any question or do whatever was necessary to make sure we had a nice stay. I would definitely use Old Mill Lodging again, and I highly recommend Echota #78, Heartsong.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

The cabin itself is beautiful! However, it is listed as having a gas fireplace but it only has a wood burning FP. It is about 15-20 miles from Gburg but that's not too bad. Also, there was no toilet paper and the towels were left in the dryer and not folded. The staff said they would bring up some toilet paper but never showed. It does need a DVD player so that families can watch movies if they do choose. Overall, I would not stay here again.Owner response: As soon as I received this review via email, I attempted to contact the guest and try to make amends for the mistakes made during their stay. We want every guest to enjoy their stay in our cabin and community. We removed the reference to a gas fireplace from the listing. This was an oversight from our internet sales representative. Our cabins that are equipped with wood burning fireplaces do include a bundle of wood and a starter log for each reservation. Unfortunately the checklist completed by our staff prior to each guests arrival was obviously not completed properly, thus the lack of toilet paper and the towels in the dryer not being folded. For this I apologize and wish that we here at Old MIl Lodging would have had an opportunity to correct this incident when it occurred. However, the "staff" that the guest refers to are not employees or affiliated with Old MIll Lodging at all. They are from a different / competing company that manages other cabins in the community. We do our best to make sure every guest of Old Mill Lodging has the 24-7 phone number to call for maintenance issues or other guest needs. We have now made this number and the fact that this is the ONLY number to call for guest needs more prominent in our confirmation and information pages to all guests. Finally, we have replaced the DVD player in the cabin for all future guests. I am sorry to hear that the guest would not stay in this "beautiful" cabin again, but hope once I am able to speak to them directly, they will change their minds and give Old Mill Lodging the opportunity to correct their mistakes and provide them with a complete vacation.
