The sand is like fine, white powdery sugar, and is soft and cool to the touch, even on the hottest days. No need for shoes on this beach.
Do you like Beach Walking? Walk to the left and walk 3 miles round trip, walk to the right and the round trip is 4 miles. The beach is flat and comfortable for barefoot walkers, joggers, strollers and bikes. Walk south down the beach to the Point of Rocks for great shelling. Walk north up the beach to Siesta Key Public Beach for lifeguard supervised swimming/surfing, sand volleyball, lighted tennis courts and playground.

You can walk to our Siesta Key Village, with its unique shops, cozy restaurants and casual hangouts, or you can easily drive just a short drive.
July 4th Celebration brings you great fireworks right on the beach. You can even walk down to the public beach area and sit right under the fireworks for the full effect, an experience not to be missed.
Bush Gardens is only a 1 hour drive and is a fun venue for all. A 2 hour drive will take you to Walt Disney World, Sea World and Universal Studios. Cape Canaveral and the Space Coast are about 3 hours away.

Right on the beach (#1 beach in US), children friendly, very clean property. With a lot of extras: TVs, Internet access, fully equipped kitchen, beach toys for kids, etc. Jim ( manager) was always there if you need any assistance. I am sure I will be back.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, age 55+.
Owner response: We appreciate such a nice review, and we always strive to do the best for our guests. We give our guests a $50 discount when they come back to thank them for their return visit. This family was absolutely a delight and left the unit in perfect condition and that helps us keep our cleaning costs down which allows us to have one of the lowest cleaning charges on our island.

The condo was very well located right by the beach. Jim the Manager was most friendly and helpful with any request. The only remark we have is that the beds were not that comfortable and the pillows were really hard and not comfortable at all. The rest was perfect.Recommended for: Families with young children, sightseeing, age 55+.
Owner response: We ask our guests frequently during their stay if everything is satisfactory. We tell our guests that we will do what every we can to solve any problem immediately. We even leave a form for guests to fill out anytime during their stay with suggestions for improvement and we act on them immediately if possible. Unfortunately if we do not know there is a problem we can not fix it. Because of the comments here we ask the next guest if they thought the bed was to firm. They said they did as well so the next morning April 11, 2013 there was a new memory foam mattress installed in the unit. These guests were from Sweden, a wonderful family. It may be that they are use to memory foam products in Sweden, so anything else would be firm. We work very hard for our guests. However, Jim the resident manager did fail a recent mind reading course:-)

The place was clean and literally steps from the beach. Jim was very polite and accommodating, and always available for questions or help. The location was very good for restaurants and grocery. Very satisfied with our stay here!!Recommended for: Families with teenagers.

I had a wonderful time! The property itself was very clean and offered every ammenity I could need in a furnished home away from home. The beach was literally less than a minute away. Everything from the water clarity to the sunsets and of course the occassional rainbow were even better than I had anticipated. Jim, the Manager was on hand any time he was needed and he took the time to thank us for choosing "At the Beach" upon our departure. All around great vacation!Did you find this review helpful? The first four days of our vacation were spent waiting on tropical storm Debby to pass. This was an experience made bearable only by the presence of 250 channels Plus all the premium movies, and a nice HD flat screen TV. The unit was just as described, and the proximity to the beach is awesome. Jim the manager was always available with information and anything else we might need. Jim even kept our vehicle and parking area blown off, as the Banyan tree lost its leaves and berries from salt burn from the storm. Unit 2 is perfect for couples or couples with smaller children as they will enjoy the bunk beds in the 2nd bedroom. You can't stay any closer to the beach without spending twice the amount of money. We would recommend At The Beach without reservation.Recommended for: Families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+.

The best vacation stay for location, beautifully maintained apartment, and affordability. All amenities were more than expected. The owner was always available and helpfull answering our questions. He was accomodating to our son's visiting us who resides in Sarasota. We highly recommend this property and would like to stay there again.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+.

We enjoyed our two weeks 'at the Beach'. The unit was clean and well equipped and sooo close to the beach. Even though it was the height of Spring Break, it was a quiet area. The owner was very helpful and more than accommodating. Great restaurants in the area.Recommended for: Families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing, age 55+.

We stayed Jan 29- Feb 5, 2011 The unit was exceptionally clean and charming. My partner and I enjoyed the gas fireplace on the cool nights. She says she loved the ambiance, peace and quiet. I enjoyed the locks with our personal code requiring no keys, as our plane was late due to delays and we were able to get right in and go to bed after a hectic travel day. Jim the manager said it was a 53 second walk to the beach if you are 5'4" tall, my partner is and she timed it and it is true. Everything we needed was there. This beach is truly world class and we have traveled to many. The location was great for getting on and off the Island so we enjoyed the night life.The Manager, Jim, was very friendly and accommodating to anything we needed, including having to train us twice on the remote and direct tv as we have cable at home. This is on our 5 star list !Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
