Your Own Private Riad in Medina Spice Market
- Minimum stay:2 nights

Beautifully restored Medina riad owned by a London-based interior designer. The riad was renovated using local craftsman and traditional building materials.
The riad is located within walking distance to all the major tourist attractions including the Baadi and Bahia Palaces, the Koranic School, the Jamal Fnaa and the many souks of the Medina. There is a large selection of excellent restaurants, both Moroccan and European, within a short stroll.
The riad is built around a courtyard that is open to the skies of Morocco. On the ground floor there is a b'hou (open seating area off the courtyard), a double bedroom with hammam style en-suite, a guest WC and kitchen. Located off the balcony on the first floor is the master bedroom with hammam style en-suite, the salon with open fire, TV, DVD and a single bedroom with access to the roof terrace. On the terrace is a tented seating area, a dining table for eight people and two sun loungers.
We have an English and French speaking house manager, Mohammed, who will organise for you to be greeted at the airport and transferred to the riad. During your stay our wonderful housekeeper, Rachida, can provide meals on request. Mohammed can also organise taxis for excursions and tours. Mohammed is also a qualified Berber trekking guide and can organise trips for all levels including treks with children.

The Riad is situated in the heart of the old town. Only a few minutes walk from the main square and even closer to all the Souks. It is beautifully decorated and you have everything you need in a little oasis. It is amazingly quiet at night, given the central location, Rachida cooked fantastic meals as and when we asked and catered for me as a vegetarian (the others not). Mohamed greeted us at the airport and helped with any questions we had. He went out of his way to arrange a trip to the atlas mountains which catered for my mother with limited mobility. She was well looked after. A great find!Owner response: Thankyou so much for your wonderful review. I am thrilled that you had such a good time and loved the riad. I am so pleased that Rachida was able to cater well to your requirements. I do hope you come back another time or recommend us to your friends. Best wishes Denise

The riad has been restored but has retained it's Moroccan origins which gives it a nice ambience. Location is very good being only a few minutes walk from the Fnaa and all the other main attractions. After a bustling day out it was nice to return and relax on the quiet, sunny terrace. We visited a number of local restaurants including La Fondouk which was excellent. Rachida made breakfast for us each day whilst Mohammed was very helpful and organised transport to and from the airport. Staying at the riad gave us a wonderful taste of the unique life in the Marrakech medina.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0
