AMENITY CARDS are now available for purchase. Our home is a private residence located at 609 Porpoise Dr.. After renting on Fripp for over 20 years I have tried to furnish our home with all of the comforts that you would be looking for. It offers a large Living Room with color TV/CD/VHS/and X-box setup (cable).
All three bedrooms have color TV/VCR with cable. Phones in living room, kitchen & all bedrooms. Ceiling fans in all rooms, breakfast nook, large kitchen, private dining room & laundry room (washer & dryer) with pantry. Large Master Bedroom has king bed & walk-in closet. Second bedroom has queen bed, 3rd has twins. Master bath has a shower & garden tub.
We have a front porch with rocking chairs... and on the back, a screened-in porch (with table & chairs) & a deck with a gas grill.
All linens and cooking utensils are provided. We have a front yard with private parking & back yard big enough for the kids. We also offer at no extra cost, a four-seat golf cart (island fees for a cart is $265/week) Bicycles, walking and golf carts are the preferred mode of transportation on Fripp Island.
Fripp Island is private and gated. The island is three-and-one-half miles long. The beach is pristine white and very secluded. Fripp is a wildlife and bird sanctuary. You will see deer roaming at all times of the day and night. Best of all, there are NO shopping malls, NO neon signs & NO traffic lights on Fripp Island.
Fripp is the last island on the chain so there is no through traffic. If you don't live on Fripp or have reservations you can't get on the island. Safety +. Your children can't get into trouble unless they look for it.
Fripp Island was the film set for Forrest Gump, Disney's Jungle Book, and The Prince of Tides. Fripp also offers two championship golf courses - Ocean Point, designed by George Cobb, and Ocean Creek, Davis Love III first signature design.

After a long drive here,we arrived to the warm cozy scent of simmering potpouri & christmas decorations all lit & inviting. Your home is beautiful & we couldn't have felt more "AT HOME". This is our 2nd trip to Fripp,we love the peace,tranquility & reflection we experience here! What a perfect "get-away" from the everyday stresses life tosses everyone's way! we will certainly be back for the summer & wouldn't stay anywhere but here! My grandson could not believe the deer were all around us. They enjoyed seeing them so much. We attended the exercises for our newly graduated marine and pray he will be able to stay in the US. “TAKEN FROM HOUSE GUEST BOOK”My words can't express the feelings of gratitude, excitement& (sorry to be leaving)the island. Your were right when you said this place is a gift from God. This weekend has been an experience for me in so many ways. As you,when I look across the water and see the beautiful sun or moon reflecting I have this breath-taking experience of remembering there is more to life than we often seem to rememger. I needed this transformation again & I am so thankful I found it here in you lovely home. I have enjoyed e-mailing you & talking to you on the phone. I do plan to contact you in the future with more transformaton reservations. “TAKEN FROM HOUSE GUEST BOOK”I had a great visit. I enjoyed everything! Your house is beautiful - Fripp is wonderful!! My few days here have been a blessing. I really enjoyed my stay. The fellowship with my two daughters and my niece will be cherished forver. My son will never believe I fed a deer out of my hand. I fully understand your deep attraction for Fripp. I join you in beleiving that Fripp is the greatest place on Earth. The beach is beautiful. It is a great place to clear your mind. About the owner: Bob and I live in Aiken, South Carolina, about 3 hours away from Fripp Island. We are both Christian. We have a large family that live near to us. I grew up in South Carolina. Bob says he was born in Ohio, but was raised in the Navy.
Why the Owner Chose Private Homes:
I visited Fripp Island for many years before we bought our home. We rented and I must say cleanliness was always an issue. I decided that I would clean our home for our guests that way I knew it would be extra clean for you. I fell in love with the island. I still get chills when I cross the bridge. Our home is located in a quiet area of the island.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
Our home is light and airy and is neatly decorated so that you'll know that you are at the beach... but comfortable enough so you can feel at home. I have tried to supply our home with everything you might need during your stay. AND it's clean.
