  We came into town for a wedding and the Bungalow was the perfect place to come to and relax each evening. Fully equipped with washer and dryer, full kitchen, plenty of towels, hair dryer, wi-fi and anything else one may need. Beautifully decorated, the pictures on the web page don't do it justice! Amazing landscaping with plenty of privacy. We will definetly come back to the Bungalow on our next trip to Shelton!

  I had the pleasure of staying at the Bungalow this past August (2011). It was clean and well equipped. It had all the feel of a higher-end hotel, but was away from all of the hustle and bustle. The decor is wonderful, especially the bathroom! The gardens were peaceful and tranquil - listening to the sound of the small waterfall in the pond (which you can comfortably take a dip in) while reading in the yard was the highlight of my stay. I felt all alone, while only 2 blocks from the center of Shelton and 25-ish minutes from Olympia and 2 hours-ish from Portland, OR. Furthermore, I was able to take a quick drive (30-45 minutes) up north on the 101 and was in the Lake Cushman region of Olympic National Park where you can sit by the lake and take an amazing hike by accessing the staircase trail area. Gerry was an excellent host - very attentive to my needs yet wholly invisible so I could enjoy my escape. I highly recommend this little treasure to anyone. I have already sent the link to all of my friends in the area. As a city dweller I have come to enjoy the modern conveniences of the city while needing the escape into nature - this bungalow is the perfect balance of that.

  What a beautiful spot. The waterfalls, ponds, lush green gardens are only the beginning. The bungalow is a dream come true. The furnishings are exquisite. The grounds are nestled next to two historic mansions and a short drive from the beauty of Mason County with it's Hood Canal, Alderbrook, and the Olympics. Check out the Airstream, inside is a wonder. The Chef, from San Francisco, is sure to please any pallette. The is truly for Arch Digest. We'll be back!
