Why settle for lake front when you can stay on a private island? On Middle Island, crystal-clear Lovell Lake is more than just a view shared by neighbors and passersby. Enjoy cool lake breezes no matter which way the wind is blowing. Don't just hear the haunting call of the loons; watch them fish just yards away while you sunbathe on one of the three docks.
Doze in the hammock under the pines after swimming laps around the island or fishing in the lake’s prime fishing waters. Sip cocktails in Adirondack chairs and watch the sun set behind Moose Mountain. While the mainlanders buy blueberries at the local market, you pick them right on the island, from the bushes lining the water’s edge. Relax in the comfortable living room with your feet up by the fire or reclining on the double-length, cushioned window seat - you are never far from the lake.
Even though you may not want to leave your own little paradise, a five-minute ride in one of the three power boats brings you to all that the mainland has to offer. Fresh lobster on the Maine coast is a little over an hour away, historic Wolfeboro on Lake Winnipesaukee just 20 minutes, outlet shopping in North Conway, and trips to Mt. Washington, Storyland, and more a quick day trip. In less time than you spend commuting to work every morning you can get to golf, hiking, and more antique shops than there are Starbucks in Seattle.
Middle Island offers a brand new pontoon boat for relaxing sunset sails and easy access to the docks, just step right off the dock onto the boat platform. This new boat is in addition to the aluminum run-about and the aluminum open fishing boat. Our private docking area on the mainland simply adds swimming and fishing options and provides an easy base for walking and exploring.
Picture a private hide-away with a large, raised-hearth stone fireplace, full kitchen, screened porch, antique furniture, sand to dig in and shallow water for kids to swim in, set in a reservoir-quality lake and you just begin to get a sense of the experience awaiting you at Middle Island. |
