It is surrounded by Kit Carson National Forest with miles of hiking and biking trails.SHADY BROOK is out of town,yet centrally located for all of northern New Mexico's summer and winter fun.This cabin has a complete kitchen with dishes and cooking utensils.It also has a washer/dry.TV and telephone. Everything is there...just move in. Pets are welcome.We even have a corral for your horse. There is nothing like a star filled night in the Taos Canyon.

What a unique place. The cabin was clean and comfortable with a warm decor. You have all the amenities nestled in a scenic national forest with the shops and restaurants and attractions of Taos just minutes away. Planning to return in the summer.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

A small group of my old high school friends held a reunion at the Shadybrook. The accommodations were excellent and well exceeded our expectations. The cabin was clean, and well maintained. There was plenty of room for 5 men. The location was rustic and picturesque, yet just a short scenic drive from downtown Taos. The owner was very helpful in directing us to the many sightseeing locations in the area. I would highly recommend the Shadybrook.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

What a beautiful location! My wife and I stayed at Shady Brook in Feb 12 - 15 , 2011. We wanted a quiet out of the way place to stay, relax, get out and snow shoe, it was great. Hiked great snow, went to Angel Fire ski area, and to Taos. We cant't wait till winter to get back Shady Brook NM. We had a wonderful host , Elwood.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

LOVED the cabins. They are so spacious and have some great scenery. Has everything near by that you need. Including snowboarding. The trails are great for hiking.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with young children, pet owners, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

Shady Brook has beautiful cabins to stay in. They have plenty of space with several amenities. We had the convenience of cooking and storing our own food. It is a great place when you want to stay in but want to get away. It is in a beautiful wooded area that is not too far from town. The caretaker made sure that we had everything we needed and ensured that we knew where everything in town was. We will definitely be going back soon!Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners, adventure seekers, age 55+.
