GREAT Villa on Provo!
GREAT Villa on Provo!
The views from this villa are truely beautiful! We traveled with another couple and enjoyed having many meals and drinks just taking it all in. The pool was very enjoyable and great for floating or sitting in a lounge chair and reading a book. We found the inventory of everything needed regarding kitchen utencils, towels, etc...very adequate. Raquel was most accommodating and always available. We had a problem with water shutting off one day and she sent her fiance immediately to fix the situation. She checked on us via the phone provided but guess we were having too much fun and didn't see her messages for days! We did kayak on Chalk Sound a couple times and used the grill almost every day which was very clean upon our arrival. The coffee maker and blender came in handy every day. We did have quite a few tiny bugs on counters but believe it not to be contributed to the villa but more of an island issue. There are many dogs roaming the island so there was an occasional "visitor" on the property but never caused a concern. We would suggest sleeping with windows closed and the air conditioner on because dogs barking were rather disruptive during the night. This should not deter anyone from chosing this property. My husband and I have stayed at another villa on the island that was more spacious but found this to just as nice and so much more affordable. We didn't find construction to cause a noise problem which was one of our possible concerns. We really enjoyed this villa and would suggest it to anyone. Can't wait to return!!!

Manager response: Thank you for taking the time out to review our property. It was a pleasure learning that you all enjoyed yourselves and it was a delight having you there. Unfortunate about the bugs which are actually sugar ants they tend to be annoying but is something we are trying to treat. Sad to say the dogs on the other hand is something we can't do much about as they are an island wide issue that the authorities are trying their best to rectify without harming the animals. Once again thank you for choosing our Villa for your stay here in the Turks and Caicos and we welcome you back upon your return.
A week in paradise
A week in paradise
What a wonderful property! We spent a week at Villa De Clementina from March 21 to March 28. It is a wonderful property with all the amenities we could hope for in a vacation rental home. Beautiful pool, fantastic view, exceptionally equipped kitchen. We ate all of our meals at the Villa except two. Every night we enjoyed the fantastic sunset from the spacious patio. We are very active during the day so we spent every night watching a movie from chosen from the well stocked library of Blue Ray movies. The only difficulty was that our children (11 and 13) loved the Villa so much we had a hard time getting them to leave to go to the beach, or anywhere else. We would absolutely rent this property again.

Manager response: Thank you so much for taking time to review our property. It was a pleasure hosting you and your family and I enjoyed chatting with you about the island. I am so happy to know that the kids enjoyed themselves:) Once again thank you and I hope that we are able to offer our Villa to you again as your home away from home.
My family and I just got back from Villa De Clementina and we can't stop raving about it! The pictures don't do it justice. The views can't be beat. We travelled with a young baby and the pool was perfect - it had a shallow wading area where she could sit and play. We also used it as a great place to tan while she slept inside. There were more than enough linens and the kitchen had everything we needed. I was far too lazy to utilize the provided kayak, but my husband used it in Chalk Sound and really enjoyed it. Raquel was great to deal with - very fast with responses to any inquiries. For the cost, you can't beat this place! Make sure you check out Sapodilla Bay and Taylor Bay, which are both a quick drive down the road.

My wife, son, and I just got back from our stay at the Villa de Clementina (early March 2013). We have nothing but rave reviews about our stay. The house was well-equipped, had a breathtaking view, especially at sunset, was wonderfully located close to Sapodilla Bay and Taylor Bay, and was a very short drive (10-15 minutes) to Grace Bay beach and shops. The kayak trail was a bit hairy, especially when carrying a two-year old, but kayaking on Chalk Sound was quite peaceful. Las Brisas is a nice lunch option nearby. I highly recommend this villa with absolutely no reservations for a young family or two couples. We will be back!

Awesome villa vacation with amazing views!!
Awesome villa vacation with amazing views!!
Raquel met us at the airport and escorted us to the villa and was nice enough to stop at the grocery store so we could pick up a few necessities. She accommodated every need! Even delivered dice to a much needed Yatzee addicted guest who forgot their dice! The welcome package of rum, rum cake, and waters were a really nice touch (and very yummy). The pictures do not do this villa justice! The views were over the top amazing. The pool and patio were nice and big, we enjoyed hanging out there every afternoon. Blender drinks for sunset was the daily ritual! The villa had 2 floats which were much used! We ate outside on the veranda daily, taking in the views and sunsets. The outside music was welcomed during afternoon cocktails and grilling. (great grill by the way). The villa has total privacy and was very quiet and peaceful. The villa was stocked with everything you need, especially the kitchen glassware and all cooking needs. The towels provided (beach, pool, bath, etc. )was plentiful and of high quality. The bathroom sundries (soap, shampoo, conditioner, etc.) were appreciated when we ran out. The complimentary laundry detergent and dishwasher soap was a nicety. Also, the cell phone provided was definitely a plus. Raquel was very nice in purchasing 2 sets of snorkel gear, which was very much appreciated. Definitely have to go to Smith Reef and use the gear. Beautiful coral and colorful fish. On our rainy day, we took advantageous of the great DVD selection and big screen TV. All the furniture in the villa is really comfy, which is not always the case at villas. Kayaking in Chalk Sound was awesome. You can kayak to Las Brisas for a drink or lunch too, but unfortunately we did not get a chance to do that. The walk down to the kayak requires good grip sneakers on the rocks. Las Brisas is a definite must for dinner. Not expensive and a big variety menu. Thanks for making our vacation stay truly awesome and memorable! We would definitely come back! I would definitely recommend this villa if you prioritize awesome views, sunsets, pool, sun, quiet and comfort!

"Has to be one of the best views in TCI!"
This villa sits on top of a hill overlooking the water in Chalk Sound; you can even see over to Sapodilla Bay. I had my coffee sitting on the patio and enjoyed the view every morning, never wanting to leave. It is also located in an area of the island that is more secluded, which provided a great amount of privacy. However, the island is small enough that you can go over to Grace Bay for a nice dinner and be there in 15 minutes. The villa is open and airy- each room has an exit to the patio through large glass sliding doors. There were plenty of amenities - extra towels, beach towels, beach chairs and umbrella, kayak, paper goods, cell phone, appliances, grill, etc. Raquel was great! She made sure that we had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. She met us at the airport and escorted us to the villa when we arrived. She also helped us to drop off our rental car when we were leaving! She called to check on us a few times during our stay - never intrusive, just a friendly call to make sure we had everything we needed. Great vacation spot!

Amazing View and Sunset
Amazing View and Sunset
Wow!! What a spot. The pictures in the listing do not do this place justice at all. It is an ideal rental for two couples as both bedrooms have ensuites and televisions. The private infinity pool was large and well maintained with a shaded bar area with awning. The location is very private and close to near-empty beaches at Sapadillo Bay and Taylor Bay as well as Las Brisas restaurant. The manager is very quick to correct any problems such as running out of propane for the grill. The kitchen could be equipped a little better with more dishes and a measuring cup and some laundry soap to use the washer. Also the advertised outdoor sound system and game console were not available. Be prepared to use the skimmer daily in the pool if you want the leaves and insects removed. The industrial area behind the property is completely forgotten once inside and looking at the view of Chalk Sound and the ocean. The path down the hill to the kayak is very steep but worth the trek. We would definitely recommend this property and stay again on a return visit.

Nice Villa with a great view but limited amenities
Nice Villa with a great view but limited amenities
Villa de Clementina offers wonderful views of Chalk Sound and Sapodilla Bay out to the ocean. Pool/patio area is lovely. The villa is located directly overlooking Chalk Sound in the Sapodilla Bay area but not on Sapodilla Bay. Taylor Bay and Sapodilla Bay beaches are a short drive and Grace Bay is about 15 minutes away. Behind the villa is an industrial area including a concrete/cement plant and the South Dock shipyard which you see when entering/exiting the villa. The property manager was responsive to our maintenance issues and concerns about the construction noise (house located next door) during our stay. We enjoyed relaxing on the patio and watching the beautiful sunset each evening. The pool was very nice but needs to be cleaned every few days due to the wind in this location. A local cell phone is provided for guest use which is very helpful and you add the minutes you need for your stay. We enjoyed the villa and the great views but wish the villa was better equipped (limited number of towels, dishes/pots and pans/beach gear).

Manager response: Thank you for your recent review I am happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us. It is unfortunate the listing states the properties location as Sapodilla Bay. However we have always noted it as Sapodilla Hills. It now has a more precise description locating it just off South Dock Road in Sapodilla Hills east of the Sapodilla Bay. The area is an up and coming residential area but has proven to be very quiet. There at times is construction taking place within the area but is something we try our best to monitor and advise the neighboring home owners of guest visiting so the construction is limited or postponed until their visits are complete. However upon your trip we fell short on doing this, something we sincerely apologize for. There is a schedule now in place for the cleaning of the pool and we will be advising all future guest of the dates and times upon their arrival. We have also addressed the amenity concerns which you had and have now upgraded the facilities and services with more linens in both the bedrooms and kitchen as well as towels for the bathrooms, pool and beach. We do apologize for falling short of your expectations and hope that the thought we have placed into refurbishing the Villa will be to your liking and that of future and past guest. Our goal in accommodating our guest is to ensure that their needs are met. Your comments are valued and hopefully we have addressed all of your concerns. We look forward to serving you once again as we strive to have all our guest leave after having a positive experience in a safe environment and return to us once again.
Wow! Million-dollar views
Wow! Million-dollar views
Absolutely amazing place with nearly 360-degree views across turquoise Chalk Sound to deep blue sea. Short 2 minutes drive to the near-empty beach at Sapodilla Bay, walk down to the Sound and take a kayak through 100s of tiny islets, grill up fresh fish on the grill overlooking the water, hang out in the pool enjoy the view. Very private. Ridiculous views. About 10 min drive to IGA grocery store, 15 min to Grace Bay, 5 min to the "fish guy in the truck", 5 min to "Jerk Night" at the Chinese-Jamaican Grill & Bakery (??). Great location away from resorts. Gated driveway and alarmed entry. Marilyn was amazing...picked us up from airport, set us up with reliable baby-sitter, provided local cell phones, recommended out of the way places, responsive with any maintenance we needed over 2 weeks, looked in on my wife and daughter when I had to fly back to NY early. Only gripes: too many mosquitoes and ants outside (would ask for a spray before staying again), and pools seem to collect sand on this island so you'll need a pool cleaner every few days. Not too far from an industrial site (on an inlet far away and behind you, but still visible at night), though not a dealbreaker at all....just look toward the never-ending sea instead. Pool is not gated, but the area is small enough you can keep your eye on everyone. Oh, and the "Lime" internet service is SLOW and unreliable in a pinch. Truly amazing and relaxing holiday, and the villa is lovely and the views are ridiculous. Happy to go back sooner than later.

Manager response: Thank you for taking the time to convey your thoughts and feelings about your visit to Villa De Clementina. I do apologize for the late response. We have noted your concerns and would like to state that it is common in our dry climate to encounter such things as mosquitoes and ants and we have now made a decision to inform our future guest of this possibility and will now be providing repellent to assist in making their stay more comfortable. We do acknowledge that the docking facility is nearby but does not in any way hamper with your stay nor the panoramic views experienced at the rear of the property. We currently have a schedule in place for the maintenance of the pool which we will advise each of the guest of upon their arrival. The internet service has been upgraded and all past issues resolved and is now being monitored by LIME. We consider your opinions a gift to us in helping us to serve both you and other guest to the best of our ability. We look forward to hosting you here at the Villa De Clemetina in the near future.
