Each Buck Minster Fuller Dome rental we offer is a unique egg-shaped concrete structure nestled in a garden of native and exotic fruit trees, palm, and tropical flowers with heavenly scents.
This property was Kona Lani Farm, providing excellent coffee beans. Today, the property produces organic vegetables by aquaponic farming.
The dome accommodation is conveniently located in a cool elevation, filled with a serene sense of well being. The interior decor is artistically simple, named for the green background. It is a perfect place to get away and focus on your personal experience.
The location is in the middle of Hawaii's pristine tour attractions, such as: Kealakekua Bay, Honaunau City of Refuge, Kona Historical Society, varied art galleries, and numerous coffee farms. The property is close to Kailua-Kona, yet up country, private and away from the highway.

My fiance and I had a great stay here. These domes are peaceful, quiet retreat just short drive South of downtown Kona. Unlike many rentals you find, the dome we stayed in had a full size kitchen, washer and dryer that we took advantage of during our stay. The property is very secluded (you have to pass through two motorized gates to get there) and safe - I can see worrying about locking your car or leaving a laptop in the dome here. We had a great BBQ with the owner Yasu and staff Delia and Curtis the first night - they even have a wood-fired oven for pizzas! We also discovered a new massage chair in our dome that we fought over every night (not sure all the domes have these). We were only 2 people, so we didn't take advantage of all of the sleeping room of the dome, but if you are a family of 4 this would be a very cost-effective place to stay and cook / bbq your own meals.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, families with young children.

Our stay at Kona Lani Farm was wonderful! The morning sunrises and blissful raindrops of the afternoon skies, to the serene and rejuvenating evening. The Air is clean with the peaceful blowing winds of Kainaliu, which carries the songs of the singing doves. The Inspirational Landscapes of rare Exotic Plants, Flowers and Fruit Trees that brings the Beauty. The amenities of each dome are the same, but each one has it's own appealing interior color and design that made each one unique. Our experience has been inspiring with Hawaii’s way of life and we had a very well rested time. It was Inspiring and Educational for my writing of my Book. Kona Lani Farm has a great Hula / Yoga Facility with its own entertainment system. The gathering outdoor area has a Barbecue wood Grill, Bread / Pizza Brick Oven with an Exterior Tile setting. They also have an Imu "Hawaiian Underground Oven". They will also have a Lomi Lomi / Massage Building to do workshops and Lectures. We will definitely return for a stay-cation and will definitely do workshops and Lectures.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with young children, tourists without a car, girls getaway, sightseeing.

About the owner: Delia (photo) is your hostess, reservation and concierge manager. From Kentucky, she is an on-going pupil of tropical gardening and is passionate about Hawaiian life. Kona Lani Farm is managed by Curtis Paza, aquaponic developer of the estate, boat captain, tour guide, and much more. Historically, this property provided excellent coffee beans. Today, the property produces food by several organic means.
