Gem of a Cottage!!
Gem of a Cottage!!
We stayed in this adorable cottage for 9 nights. It was beautifully decorated, immaculate, and well-equipped for cooking. We loved spending mornings on the deck sipping coffee and enjoying the landscape. Our hosts were extremely helpful in recommending nearby activities and restaurants. We thought we had planned enough days to explore the area, but as it turned out, we have many more outings to look forward to in future visits. Each afternoon we were excited to return and relax in this wonderful little cottage. It is the perfect place for two, whether you are looking for a special occasion get-away or just a vacation. The area is safe & quiet with gorgeous yard & mountain views. The cottage was even better than we had expected. We give it our highest ratings!!

Adorable and simply charming
My husband Tom and I styed at this cottage 2 times now. Once over Christmas and then again this last summer. I felt like a queen. This plac has not skimped on any amenities and cannot wait to go there for a third time. The cottage was modern, up to date and the old wagon from the west in the back yard is fantastic. We walked around the property and was eating blackberries this last summer where we met one of there neighbors. She was very nice and ended up giving us some fresh veggies. Thank you again for a wonderful and peaceful stay. We are both looking forward in coming back. Tom and Jerri Moran, Dallas, Or

About the owner: We have enjoyed living on this property for 11 years. David was born and raised here in the Rogue Valley. He is a Dental Ceramist who creates crown and bridge for local dentists. He owns his own business in Medford. My name is Scott and I am a designer who fabricates soft goods for local designers and work from my studio here at the property. We bought this property 11 years ago and have had a great time watching it transform from its over grown state to its beauty today. We continue to work on it, upgrading every step. There's always something to do. Our family and freinds always enjoy staying in the cottage. They suggest placing it in Better Homes And Gardens magazine. Our families live close by and enjoy spending time with all of them and have family get togethers every once in awhile. We have had reunions here on the property and just recently hired a blue grass band for one of our parties.
Why the Owner Chose Gold Hill:
The cottage existed when we purchased the property.Though uninhabitable, we stripped the entire structure down the the bare studs and renovated. Our plan was to replace the existing main house. We had to renovate the cottage to live in it while our house was being built. We had no plans to purchase property 15 minutes from town but when we toured this property, there was no question.
The Unique Benefits at this Cottage:
We enjoy staying out at the cottage. Making dinner, soaking in the claw foot tub, then watching the fire with a cup of coffee. It does'nt get any better than that. Durning the day, its awesome to just hang, walk around the property and enjoy the scenery.
