This property is everything and more as described by the owner. Perfectly located on Lido beach with all the upgrades and amenities to facilitate ease of use. The owner is a consummate professional, returning all inquiries in a timely manner and even called us mid stay to ascertain that everything was to our liking and in order. The only caveat I can provide to prospective tenants is, don't even think of asking for November, we have already requested a reservation for 2013 :)Recommended for: Age 55+.

An awesome location if you don't want to be right in the thick of tourist madness, but still be just a couple minute drive to St Armand’s Circle. A fantastic place to watch sunsets from either the pool deck (be sure to abide by all rules), or just step over the pool deck wall and put your feet in the amazing sand on the beach to bid adieu to the day. We found many shells while walking the beach, but really had fun snorkeling right in front of First Lido, where we saw sand dollars, more shells (with the critters still living inside), star fish, stingrays and a variety of fish. Manatees and dolphins regularly swam by, too! The villa itself is decorated beautifully, as shown in the pictures, and contained everything we needed. The owner is professional and nice, and on the occasions where we did need something or just had a question or concern, I just gave him a call and got the issue easily resolved. The villa did have a musty smell when we first moved in - it is a beach house, and apparently the previous guests did not know how to run the air exchanger properly. That condition improved greatly during our stay. We had guests on a couple of occasions, and they loved it, too. I would definitely recommend this property for someone wanting to feel at home away from home! Favorite restaurants: Venezia, 15 South, Crab & Fin, Blue Dolphin Cafe, Cafe L'Europe, Tommy Bahama, Tokyo Japanese Steak House and Sushi Bar, hmmm, just realized that I liked almost all of the restaurants we went to in St Armand's! Except for Columbia (disappointing all around) and the service at La Malinche was awful, all 3 times we went. Kept going back, though, because the food is delicious & if you're not in ANY kind of rush & if you're sitting on the front porch and like to people watch, it's not so bad!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with young children.

Excellent Villa, Excellent Location and Excellent Beach. My wife and I enjoyed all. A home run. No need to say any more.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with young children.

Our recent stay at the Lido Key Villa perfectly matched all of our requirements: proximity to beach and pool, spacious/updated accomodations and close to restaurants and shopping. As described in the listing, this villa is a short walk to both the pool and beautiful Lido beach. In addition, the owner was most responsive to any questions or concerns I had. I am certain that our next trip to the Sarasota area will include a stay at this Lido Key Villa : )Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.
