Photo 1 - Bridgton, ME - Maine Cottage Rental with Views of Shawnee Peak Cottage in on a private peninsula on Moose Pond. Property contains The Cottage, The Lodge, and The Cabin. The Cottage is used by the owner (usually only weekends) and The Lodge is available for your enjoyment. The Cabin is an accessory building that gets it's name from the business that once occupied it. The property is one of the most photographed properties in the area. It has been featured in numerous pictures, postcards and five jigsaw puzzles (by five different companies). Valhalla dates to the late 1800s. The Cottage and Lodge are about 30 feet apart, but face in different directions. Their design was well thought out, making them each very private. From the living areas in both buildings you cannot see the other. The Lodge has an open living room/eating area/kitchen on the first floor. The second floor has four bedrooms and a full bath. Master bedroom has great views of the lake and of Shawnee Peak. Outside you will find a farmer's porch facing the water, which is only ten feet away. Our sandy beach is only 75 feet away. Property boasts 400 feet of private waterfront.
