The 364 sq mt house set in 3500 sq mts of garden has 6 bedrooms (3 en suite) plus 2 more bathrooms and a maid's suite. The house is built on 3 gentle levels and includes a 'tower' bedroom and mezzanine gallery. The kitchen, with double stove, is open plan and leads onto the huge living room with cathedral ceiling and large dining alcove. The living area and the bedrooms all have spectacular views over the gardens to lake Gutierrez and beyond to the snow covered ski slopes of Cerro Catedral. In winter the heating is both under-floor and by radiator, in summer the house has wonderful ventilator fans for the hot days. Of course there is a built-in wood fuelled 'Parilla' or Barbecue and the living room and principal bedroom have large open fireplaces. The house is a 3 minute walk from the first tee of the golf course and a five minute drive to the Arelauquen Clubhouse by the polo fields. There is permanent security provided by the club with manned entrances to the Club and foot, horseback, quadbike and 4x4 patrols to ensure the residents security and look after their needs. We have guides available for fishing, hunting, trekking, skiing and coaches or professionals for any other sport. Bariloche, now a small city on Lake Nahuel Huapi is only 11 kms away and other places within easy reach (by Patagonian standards) are Villa la Angostura, el Bolson, Villa and Lake Traful, San Martin de los Andes and Chile via the Cardenal Samore Pass. There are a number of excellent restaurants within easy reach, including the famous 'Boliche de Alberto' famed for serving the best beef in the whole of Patagonia (if not Argentina!), the hip 'Tinto Bistro' owned by Princess Maxima's brother, the gourmet 'Cassis' and the italianissimo 'Il Gabbiano' on the way to the world famous Llao Llao Hotel. Arelauquen is a place of very special beauty where you can enjoy every activity imaginable in an extraordinary setting. And there is be no better base than this lovely house, 'Ave Maria'.
