  This is a great house for a family get-away! I took my three kids for their first trip to Hood River and we loved the house and the town. The kitchen has all you need for meals, and the bedrooms were very comfortable. I loved sitting on the couch drinking my morning coffee and looking out over the river. The house has a great view and a lovely deck for warmer weather. It's in a great location - close to downtown (walking distance if you're willing to climb back up 400 stairs or wind your way up the hill), a block from a great park and minutes away from the community pool. It's also a great location for winery tours, brewery tours, hiking and biking. My family enjoyed going to the event site to watch the kite surfers and then to Mike's Ice Cream for a little afternoon, spring break treat. There are great restaurants nearby which accommodate families or would be great for a romantic dinner for two. We will definitely be back and will stay in this house again. The kids are begging to go in the summer for kite surfing lessons, fishing and a bike trip!

  This was a great house. It was a quick walk to town. The owners were friendly and easy to work with. Hood River is a beautiful fun little town.

  We had a great time in the house. Tons of games, books, and toys for the kids and everthing you could need in the kitchen. The view from the front deck is awesome. House is clean and comfortable.

  We absolutely loved the house! Amazing views, very comfortable, and so convenient to downtown Hood River. The owners were extremely accommodating. Activities in and around Hood River are unbeatable any time of year. We're already planning our return visit!

  We just stayed in the house for 5 days over Memorial Day. The location is fantastic. We were with a 4 year old, and there really is a nice playground a long block away. In addition, the house is really close to town (although steep). It feels more like a three bedroom because the loft area is closed off from bedrooms and living areas. It was perfect for my wife and me, our friend, and our 4 year old. This is not to mention the views, which are spectacular from the huge picture windows in the front. It was also a pleasure to work with Linda! All in All...EXCELLENT!

  This is the perfect getaway! We have stayed at this house during summer, fall, and winter months and have loved it every time! The owners are friendly and reliable, responding to all questions promptly. Morning coffee overlooking the river is incredible. And evening drinks on the deck are great. The kids love playing at the park, the beach, and hiking. We walk downtown everyday, enjoy the shops, and love the casual atmosphere of Hood River. The local pool is fantastic. We enjoy both going out to eat, and cooking in. Whether we are windsurfing, catching a great yoga class, swimming, hiking, running, or reading a book from the local library, our stay is always great. The house is a great location for a quick getaway from Portland and provides the feeling of really getting away and slowing down. The beds are comfortable and the house is easy to relax in. We truly feel completely refreshed and rejuvenated after a stay here.
