The cottage is located on a private road in Point Sebago, a 775 acre, Golf and Beach Resort. Point Sebago has over three decades of history and a reputation unmatched in the business as a family-friendly resort that offers its guest as much activity or as little disturbance as desired. This privately-owned cottage is located in the Point Sebago BEACH Resort (not the Point Sebago GOLF Resort), one of only a few, and is only a minute walk down a private road to almost a mile of white-sand, private beach.
The cottage itself is larger than most offered on the resort and is TUCKED AWAY from the hustle of the resorts busy streets and offers guests the rest and relaxation they so deserve on their summer vacation. Driving right up to this beautifully landscaped cottage, with its unique variety of flora and fauna surrounding the pebble stone driveway, makes our guests feel like they are finally on vacation. Parking for TWO CARS in the driveway makes for easy unloading of all your supplies. The front porch has a love seat underneath an overhang that is perfect for coffee and just taking in that fresh Maine air.
Once inside you will get a warm feeling from enclosed sunroom surrounded by windows and topped by three skylights that allows the heart of this cottage to be lit entirely by natural light! The sunroom is set up to sleep two to four people with a great big and "oh, so comfy!" day bed with trundle and a sofa bed. There is another very comfortable and large leather sofa and lounging chair in the sunroom. A CABLE TV, VCR/DVD, and FREE HIGH SPEED CABLE Internet port are in the sunroom, which are hard to find amenities at Point Sebago.
The dining area is located in front of a very large window that brightens up the table and everyone sitting at it! The table is leaf expandable and seats up to six people. Adjacent to the dining area is a serving bar and full-size and fully-loaded kitchen with everything you would need to make that gourmet coffee, quick soup or sandwich, or to cook your favorite family meal. Stove, refrigerator, microwave, pots, pans, utensils, plates, cups, (cable TV's) etc. it's all there!
In addition, we provide a PHONE with local service in the kitchen. The easy-to-use temperature controls for the CENTRAL AIR AND HEATING UNIT is located in the kitchen, and FREE HIGH SPEED CABLE
internet access from the sunroom !
There are two bedrooms in the cottage one in the front and the other in the back. The front room offers a very comfortable queen-size bed surrounded by windows. The closet in the front room has mirrored sliding doors making it unobtrusive and offers ample space for storage. The back bedroom is just as large and next to the bathroom. It offers a queen-size bed, shelves for storage overhead, and the same style closet as the front. Both bedrooms offer ceiling-hung TV's. The bathroom is complete with a shower inside a full-size tub.
This cottage also offers another living space ideal for children; a roomy loft. Located above the front bedroom with a hide-a-way ladder from the dining area, the loft has a partial gate to keep users safe, two wall-hung lights, a window, and storage area where you will find all the pillows and blankets you need to make this area comfortable for your children. All of the bedrooms come ready to use with pillows, blankets, and mattress pads.
The back porch is beautifully designed and almost 300 sq. feet. It has a large, glass, dining table complete with six chairs and a sturdy umbrella. We provide a NEW GAS GRILL (2006) on the back porch that is movable and easily used. The first can of propane is on us! This area is always a favorite spot for our guests to sit on those hot summer days with their favorite book & frosty beverage! The "backyard" is full of wildlife as we keep bird feeders well stocked, even a hummingbird feeder that attracts those beautiful birds all season long. During those classic, Maine, summer nights sit and star gaze or grab a chair and take a step off the porch to the permanent fire pit, or stare off and count the fireflies.
All in all, this cottage offers guests everything they will need to have a memorable and carefree vacation. The pictures posted with this description were taken THIS SUMMER while a family stayed at our cottage and we hope they show you just how comfortable and livable it is. The sunroom is A PERFECT PLACE FOR A LAZY SUMMER AFTERNOON NAP!
Point Sebago offers daily-supervised activities for people aged three and up (including adults) that go all day long and some into the night, which our guests are welcome to use or avoid. There is an on-site ATM, general store, laundry facilities, a snack bar, fine-dining restaurant, a lounge with nightly entertainment, two bars, boat rentals, mini golf, 18-hole Point Sebago championship golf course, shuffleboard, tennis, and much, much more!
