Leave the world behind the minute your car rumbles across the trestle bridge over free-flowing Beaver Kill Creek and you arrive at Camp Levon, our cozy knotty-pine cottage in the heart of the Catskill Park in low-key Willow, New York.
Built in the 1930s or ’40s, the two-bedroom, one-bath cottage has a wood-burning stone fireplace (wood supplied), large deck with private park-like views, and a screened porch where you can enjoy the sounds of nature. We named the place for Levon Helm, whose Midnight Rambles still go on at his Woodstock home and recording studio.
The house is furnished with an eclectic mix of antique, found, and new pieces, including the Charles P. Rogers bed and mattress in the master bedroom. The cabin is 15 minutes (eight miles) from Woodstock and 5 minutes from Phoenicia. It's a about 2 hours north of New York City. A Weber grill and hardwood charcoal are available for cookouts.

Owner info
Year Purchased: 2012
About the owner: After living in New York City for eight years, we finally found the perfect getaway just outside Woodstock with all its festivals, music, hiking, and great food. We are avid bicyclists, and have quickly discovered that it is possible to road tour in the mountains. We want to share our good fortune with folks we hope will soon become good friends.
Why the Owner Chose Phoenicia:
We realized the minute we sat down on the teak bench on the deck how restful the place was. The property is less than an acre, but the park-like setting soothes and enfolds — the perfect antidote to hectic city lives.
The Unique Benefits at this Cottage:
The interior is sunny and cozy, and there's a wood-burning fireplace for chilly nights, a large deck for sunning or dining alfresco, and a covered screened porch on hot or rainy days. Just move from one spot to the next as the spirit moves you.
