The large great room is light & airy w/ gas fireplace open on 2 sides.
The well-equipped kitchen has a dining table that seats 8 & lovely Portmeirion dishware. Luxury bedding, carpeting throughout, large backyard patio with patio furniture for dining & relaxing.
Lots of boy toys & beach supplies including chairs, umbrella, sand toys, life vests, beach towels, boogie boards, kayaks, bicycles.
13 minute drive to downtown Santa Barbara.
Take a bike, hop on the 20 miles of bike paths that pass right next to our house. In 20 minutes you will be on the beach. Perfect for kids because there is no street riding required.

Our 3-generation family had the blessed opportunity to be together under one roof during our family reunion/celebrations. The owner responded fast to questions and was easy to work with. The home was in a delightful neighborhood; we especially enjoyed our nature walks on the walking/bike paths that went for miles. Shopping and the beautiful Santa Barbara and Goleta beaches were just a few minutes away. The home was clean and well-maintained, with fast Internet and plenty of kitchen/laundry supplies. We hope to return again soon and would definitely recommend this property to family and friends.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers.

This lovely house was a haven for our family (2 sets of grandparents, older brother and his girlfriend, and parents) up for graduation weekend at UCSB. It comfortably fit the 8 of us, with plenty of room to give those looking for a quiet read or place to nap their own space. Situated in a quiet neighborhood it was exactly as pictured, with UCSB, restaurants and SB all easily accessed. The owners were very accomodating, enabling us to get in early on our "check-in" day, and provided a wealth of information about local services and attractions. Being able to stay here helped make this a perfect weekend.Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, families with teenagers.

we had a terrific experience. the house is lovely, well maintened and very kids friendly. we especially enjoyed the jumping trumplin outside and freshly made orange juice from the backyard trees.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with young children, pet owners, age 55+, families with teenagers.
Owner response: Yes, having two elementary aged sons of our own means that we are loaded with boy toys both inside and outside of the house. The trampoline is always a winner with kids. Also, our game closet is well stocked. Add to all this Wii and WiFi, and some fresh-squeezed orange juice any month of the year and what can I say?! "Come to our house for a great vacation!"

This family home is very comfortable and large. We really enjoyed staying there for UCSB commencement weekend with our family. The house was spotless, and the owner was very helpful in answering our questions and making our stay very comfortable. We found it very easy to get to the UCSC campus, to the Santa Barbara airport, to the Goleta beach, to the State Street shopping area in downtown Santa Barbara, and to Lazy Acres grocery store, where the produce is so beautiful and delicious that my sister took photos of it! We would definitely recommend this property to our friends and relatives.Recommended for: Sightseeing, people with disabilities, families with young children, age 55+, families with teenagers.
Owner response: If you aren't getting a Montecito mansion, then sometimes it can be difficult to find a larger home in an affordable price range in Santa Barbara. And yes, the access to UCSB and Goleta Beach by car or bike is very convenient. We also boast at being well appointed without being cluttered. Indeed this is a comfortable house for your good pleasure and relaxation.

About the owner: We are an active family that enjoys worldwide travel. With our young sons, we have traveled to Thailand, India, South Africa, & Indonesia. We met at Yale University and now live in Santa Barbara where Dr. Farhadian is a professor. Santa Barbara is a perfect vacation town, big enough to have lots of activities but small enough to find your way around quickly. Life is lived outdoors in Santa Barbara. We welcome you to come and enjoy!
