Amazing view, fabulous accommodations, hands-on owner. The two weeks we spent at Somerset will be a vacation we will never forget. Beautiful, clean, neat accommodations and a fabulous view with amazing sunsets. The owner (Tom) was extremely responsive and wonderful to deal with. We will definitely return!Recommended for: People with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We enjoyed watching gorgeous sunsets from the balcony. Also, loved watching all the dolphins! The condo was very nice, completely updated and had everything we needed for a great family vacation. The grounds are well kept, clean and beautifully landscaped. Had a great time....thanks Tom!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children.

Everything we had read about the condo and the location was accurate and way beyond our expectations. The photos were beautiful, but don't come close to seeing the condo and the beach in person. Everything was clean and beautifully renovated. Tom is wonderful to deal with. Highly efficient, answering any questions usually within the hour. I would highly recommend the condo to anyone and everyone! We thoroughly enjoyed our airboat ride through the Everglades and Ne Ne 's for breakfast and Snook's at anytime! However their fish and chips is amazing value and SO good! The first holiday that we've booked for the following year before we finished the current trip! Thanks to everyone who took the time to rate it so highly and make it such an easy decision.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

This was our first time at the Somerset - we have been coming to marco for years and usually stayed at teh Apollo. This was a different experience and much more spacious, less noise and W/D are in the unit. The beach is the same and the weather unbeatable.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children.

I have never been to Marco Island before. We drive onto the island, and instantly fell in love with the place. Pulled into Somerset, and felt like we were home. Opened Tom's condo and could not be happier. Everything was clean, crisp and new. We were shocked at how much room there was is the unit. It is very spacious and comfortable. Everything here at the Somerset has been planned out perfectly. When talking with neighbors, you get a sense that people just don't like it here, they LOVE IT!. The lanai was our favorite place, I think we sat out there more than any place else. The view is breathtaking. Watching all the activity on the beach from lanai is so nice. Sleeping with the ocean waves gently crashing was very soothing, I hope to keep that with me when I return to New York. Tom was wonderful to work with, very professional. I hope our paths will cross again. I highly recommend Marco Island, the Somerset, Unit 502 and Tom. My family of 5 stayed at this beautiful Somerset Condo the first week of March 2012. The condo was one of the best we have stayed at, 2 large bedrooms and upscale bathrooms with walk in closets. The condo grounds were amazing, flowers, palms and excellent access to the beach. We enjoyed the pool after a day on the beach with excellent shelling. Our guys walked about 1/4 mile up the beach to a rock jetty and fished off the end resulting in a great fish dinner. I highly recommend a Marco Island vacation and stay at this Somerset Condo for a wonderful time.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway.

I just returned from a week in Marco with my husband and our 10 yr old duagher. This was my fourth trip to Marco and the Sommerset and the first time in this unit (7 yrs since our last visit). The unit was great - nicely updated, very clean, well stocked kitchen equipment and the furniture was very comfortable. The grounds of the Sommerset are beautifully landscaped. We spent hours on the balcony dining, watching the pelicans and the amazing sunsets (my husband loved that the patio furniture was padded and included a lounge chair!). We actually saw dolphins every day on this trip. My daughter loved the salt water pools - so much more pleasant than chlorine. We did splurge on the waverunner tours offered at the Marriott and it was well worth the money. Nice dining options and ice cream shop within easy walking distance. We also recommend finding Simply Cupcakes in Olde Marco - best Key Lime cupcakes ever. I highly recommend Marco Island and this unit to anyone looking for a beautiful, relaxing getaway. Tom was so easy to work with which made planning stress free as well.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We recently experienced our first visit to Marco Island and truly enjoyed it. Tom's condo couldnt have been more beautiful and accomodating. The location was exactly as decribed direct beach front couldnt have been a better location. The condo was clean and had everything there that we needed to enjoy the week at Marco. Tom was the best to rent from. He recently rennovated the condo and after rennovation took the time to send out updated pictures to us so that was nice to see the before and after pics. He also suggested restaurants and things to do in Marco and was on target on all of his suggestions. He included his contact number in case we needed anything (which we didnt) and said several times to call him at any time. He also sent a followup message after we returned home to make sure everything went well. We have rented on VRBO many time and I think Tom had to be the best yet to rent from to make sure everything was fine with the condo. I would definitely rent again or recommend to a friend. Condo was in great shape - new kitchen and bathrooms; all furniture looked new. Tom was very responsive during our initial research and easy to work with. We had a very comfortable and relaxing week, enjoying fabulous sunsets on the deck overlooking the Gulf. Also loved Captain Brien's Seafood restaurant - the key lime pie was AWESOME!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.

I had some health problems and this vacation to Marco was one of the best recommendations. Relaxing, beautiful weather and the views from the balcony - precious. My friend at work had stayed at the Somerset many times and I must buy him a beer - he said it couldnt be better and he was right. Cant wait to come back in Spring. The condo was perfect and had everything we needed.Recommended for: People with disabilities, age 55+.

i had stayed in this unit prior to the change in ownership. It was basic with the old kitchen and baths. This past week, I witnessed the change and it is now probably the nicest unit in the Somerset. Everything is new from the furniture and bedding to the kitchen and baths. I have been coming to Marco for 15 years and love it here. This unit made it even better. Plus, the folks in the office couldnt be nicer - thats you Pam!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway.

This unit was recently purchased by the owner and he fully disclosed his intention to remodel the unit, but assured us it would be clean which was our foremost concern. I must say that the unit far exceeded our expectations and the rate allowed us to experience Marco to the fullest. His concern for our comfort sold us on the unit and we were not disappointed. I would certainly rent this unit once again, as is, and would recommend any of the units owned by Jim. I will definetly make certain he has one of his units available for our next visit. The best vacation we have ever enjoyed.....thanks Jim!!!!!!Recommended for: Age 55+

My family and I had a wonderful time at Somerset! The condo unit and entire complex was clean and pristine and very secure. It was hard to leave Somerset and will be back as soon as possible. The Owner was wonderful to work with. We had put this all together at the last minute and he was very efficient and I would recommend this property and this owner to anyone who is looking to stay at Marco.
