My friends and I had a great time staying at your apartment / trip. The place was fantastic, easy to sleep 7 people, super clean and trendy and the concierge office was great and responsive. One thing that really stood out were the security guards, they were like hawks watching every little movement – definitely felt safe although Jaco seemed to be a generally safe place. In addition, the DayStar office staff was helpful in guiding us on what activities to partake in such as, ATVs, zip-lining, water rafting, etc. and greeted us with great respect and behaved professionally to our requests. Overall, we give it a 10 out of 10 for the trip and the apartment as well.

HI everyone we booked this condo direct with the owner and everything noted on the listing is true and more. Three big bedrooms with extra large showers... The owner is very easy to deal with and called to check on us and again after we arrived home. The view is the best in JACO We have stayed many places in JACO and this was the best place ever. If anyone is thinking about this condo? You will be very happy The staff is great also. We will be back and rent this condo. Thanks

My friends and I had the best vacation ever! The condo is everything that it was advertised and much more. Clean, modern, fully equipped. Even had super fast wifi! And the views- oh my god! The surf is only feet away. We saw poster card sunsets every night , sometimes from the pool. The staff were all very friendly and we felt safe and secure the whole time. Groceries and restaurants were all walking distance. From the moment Javier picked us up at the airport to the night we returned, we were in Costa Rican heaven. Thanks to Marty and Janice for all their help making sure our trip would be unforgettable. Can't wait to come back!

Hi Marty, I know that you spoke with Blaine and he relayed that your place is amazing, but I just wanted to give you my 2 cents worth. From the location.... to the comfort of the condo, it couldn't have been better. We have stayed in a lot of condos that say they are on the beach, but this one truly is. I must have taken a million pictures of the sunset, but have to be there to really experience the colors, we were never let down one evening!! We tried to see the "green flash, but due to too much wine, none of us experienced it......must go back!! The only complaint is that we were not able to, "make time stop", and unfortunately we are now back at home, already had to shovel the deck!!! We decided to look at this as it is one day closer to our next holiday, which hopefully will be on Jaco Beach. One question, we have a brother that would probably interested in renting a 2 bedroom, would you happen to have one in the Diamante Del Sol? Regards, Connie

Our family of five stayed in this fabulous condo in December 2012 and loved the spacious layout, updated decor (the kitchen had everything one could want), seamless WIFI, fantastic air conditioning (especially useful during our heat wanve visit!) and huge, furnished terrace overlooking the pool and sunsets every evening. The complex included security (although we never felt unsafe even wandering around the town) and concierge services which promptly assisted with everything from tours to maid service to dinner reservations. The complex also had an artful pool big enough for both lap swimming and lounging. The unit is steps from a surfer's paradise beach- a calmer beach area can be found by walking 5-10 minutes south down the expansive beach. In over 10 trips to Costa Rica this was the only time we neither wanted nor used a car. Everything in Jaco is within walking distance (grocery stores, pharmacies, restaurants, gift shops) and the owner of the unit (and concierge service) arranged for our transportation to and from the airport in San Jose (1 and 1/2 to 2 hour drive), which was a treat.We highly recommend a guided nature tour in the nearby preserve (a 20 minute drive), an ATV excursion to the nearby waterfall and the restaurants Lemon Zest and Grafitti. We hope to return soon!-

What a wonderful 10 days we had in Jacol. Marty took care of everything for us. His condo is bright, spacious and has the best view of the ocean, We spent most of our time sitting on the balconies listening to the ocean and watching the beautiful sunsets. The condo was great for the seven of us the bedrooms are large and each has its own bathroom. We wouldn't stay anywhere else. Town is so close there is no need for a car and we very seldom called for a taxi.. We loved it so much we hope to come back in May for another 10 days. Thanks Marty for everything.

Wonderful property and owner experience

When traveling to a third world country, you never know what to fully expect. Marty and Janice made this experience so easy for us by coordinating our transport from the airport. The condo is beautifully decorated and the view of the sunset each night was fantastic. I could not ask for a better location in Costa Rica. Directly ocean front and so close to town you don't need a car. Loved that the unit had a washer and dryer in it and the complex had 24 hour security. Without a doubt we would rent with them again!

The place is great, it has all the amenities one needs. The view is wonderful, you can see the whole beach and the sea. The rooms are beautiful, each one with a bathroom, also it has all the utensils needed for cooking. Also the location is perfect, is 200 meters from a supermarket and restaurants. The pool also very nice and the staff is very friendly and help with needs. The owner makes the whole process quick and easy and is very friendly, plus meet all the needs. The place is perfect to go to relax.

The condo is large, bright and beautifully furnished. It is beach front which is exactly what we were looking for. Each room was large, beds very comfortable, balcony to each room. Washer & dryer and towels provided. Nice living space in the living room/dining room overlooking the ocean, so our evenings and down time were so very comfortable and enjoyable. TV with DVD player provided. Perfect for me and my two kids. Plenty of activities near Jaco, such as a day trip to Isla Tortuga, zip lining, and cruising along the coast to explore other beaches (Dominical and Punta Leona). Jaco itself is a surf town with some unmentionable activity. Not very safe. But we would take a cab ride to beautiful restaurants each night ($1 each way) and shop during the day. The beach was perfect for body surfing and only families congregated there. The location of the property is perfectly situated in the town of Jaco, easy walking to the shops, bank, supermarket, etc. The Day Star employees were extremely helpful in planning all of our activities, suggesting restaurants, and arranging cab rides. Finally, the owner of the condo was so very wonderful and kind, helping to make suggestions on other places we planned to visit. Overall, a great experience.

Your condo was beautiful and perfectly accommodating, and the location was great as well. We enjoyed the pool, the beach, Manuel Antonio, and a day of deep-sea fishing out of Quepos before heading out to Monteverde and Arenal. It was a fabulous trip. Thank you!

Relaxing Family Time!

I was delighted to be able to make contact and all the arrangements concerning this stay directly with the owner, Marty. He understood our needs and was attentive to make our vacation a success! The apartment is beautiful and absolutely comfortable. It is so close to the sea, it seems that we were camping in a super luxury tent, right on the beach!...And still, you arrive at the center of Jaco, comfortably walking a few blocks. The place is really beautiful and so close to San Jose, you can be there in just and 1 1/2 hour, so they may even come and go different relatives, according to their convenience. Spectacular! We hope to return soon!

Awesome, Awesome, Awesome ladies trip to Jaco, Costa Rica (June 14th -June 19th, 2012)...The condo is gorgeous and very spacious. We fell in love with the bathrooms...Great location, close to the main strip and right on the beach. We spent a lot time relaxing on the balcony watching the waves and trying to see exotic animals...We even hired a private chef to prepare lunch, I will definitely recommend this service, the food was good and they gave you a lot also dont forget the bartender. We also enjoyed hanging by the pool with the iguanas. lol Mr. Reiner and the staff at Daystar were very helpful in making a reservation and booking tours. #1 choice can't go wrong with this one. We will be back!!! Thank you again....

We enjoyed an amazing 2 weeks in Costa Rica and Jaco was our final destination. The accommodations and view really were stunning. The pictures do not do it justice. The pool was equally as beautiful. Words can not begin to describe how pleased we all were with EVERYTHING! The condo is absolutely breathtaking, just as photographed! We contacted Marty on pretty short notice and he and everyone that he referred us to were nothing short of great! We arrived via shuttle recommended by Marty and the driver was like having our own personal tour guide of Costa Rica-he knew everything there was to know on the way to Jaco. We also asked for excursion recommendations and he referred us to Todd with Costaricaconcierge.com who again did not fail to exceed our expectations! He was able to get a deal for us on everything we did! And we must recommend the sport fishing with Captain Tony who we swear was the unofficial mayor of Costa Rica! Again, nothing but great to us from start to finish! I look forward to going back and staying much longer!!! Post pictures soon!

Sophisticated Condo, Great Beach Town

This was my second visit to Costa Rica but my first to Jaco. This condo is beautifully decorated and very clean. It's also very spacious- we had plenty of room for 3 couples and a kid. We loved dining in with supermarkets nearby and the large kitchen. The ocean view is amazing from the balconies (each room had access to a balcony) and the sunsets are gorgeous. We loved spending most of our time at the pool which is also right on the beach so you can enjoy the sounds of waves crashing without fussing with sand in your towels. Jaco is a great coastal town with plenty of yummy restaurants and shopping just steps from the condo. We had no need for a car since everything is within a short walking distance. I just loved my stay at this condo and hope to return. I will also recommend it to my friends and family.

This was the first time we traveled abroad with our 3.5 year old daughter and i'm so grateful we stayed in this location. It could not have been easier! We were 6 adults a group of 6 adults with a youn child and she was in heaven the whole time. The pool was PERFECT for all in attendance and the adjacentcy to restaurants and shops, all within walking distance, could not have been more convenient. Since the grocery store was so well apointed, we chose to prepare out own food for dinners and the kitchen was so easy to work in! I highly reccomend this location to anyone considering staying on the west coast of CR.

my stay in jaco was wonderful! the condo was large enough for 7 of us to fit so very comfortably, with 3 bathrooms, 3 bedrooms and a really lovely kitchen it was the perfect place. located 1/2 block from shops and restaurants an easy walk to where ever you wanted to go! the pool was really the best place to be to play or relax, with the beach right there you can watch the waves roll in! the living room/dining room is large enough for great conversation, noone feeling crowded at all. there are 3 balconies to allow for some private time if need be, and to watch the incredible sunsets while the ocean sounds come your way...i would recommend this condo to anyone i know who is going to costa rica.

We had a fantastic stay at the condo. Overall, the condo is reminicent of the W Hotels by Starwood - very stylish and modern. The amenities were also impressive, including a full kitchen and full washer & dryer. Very comfortable and clean accomodations. I can't say enough. Incredible Condo Rental!

The condo was incredibly modern and spacious. It feels very clean and spa-like, perfect for a relaxing beach vacation. The view from the balconies, overlooking palm trees and the beach, was so beautiful it didn't seem real. The kitchen is fully stocked and wonderful to use. The entire condo just felt luxurious. With accommodations this nice, we were just as happy to relax inside the condo as outside at the beautiful pool and beach. The condo is well located, just minutes away from restaurants and stores. Everything felt very much at our finger tips. Marty and Janice were the most helpful owners. They offered restaurant and tourist recommendations, all of which we took. They helped us find guides for our visits outside of Jaco. We loved our stay in Jaco and it was honestly this condo that made it so pleasant and relaxing. We can't wait to come again!

What a GREAT Spot!

I've lived in Costa Rica for a year now and had not done much travelling in the time. But when my parents and brother came over for a holiday, well it was 2 weeks of travelling and hands down this was our favorite spot. As a family we have stayed in time share resorts every vacation for the last 18 years and we own time share in a 5 star resort in Florida which is amazing. So when I t comes to renting a property, you can’t help but compare. But I have to say, we were impressed. It’s seriously comfortable and you really feel right at home. The management company do a great job too and everything is well presented and clean. And to top it all off, it’s right on the beach! You just can’t beat sitting on the balcony and staring at the ocean. In fact one morning before we headed out we saw some splashes in the near distance and when we zoomed in with a camera we noticed it was a pod of whales. Amazing. The pool is great too. Its right on the beach so you can set up a spot at the pool and venture to the ocean without worrying about leaving anything on the beach. Also, you can order food to the pool and while we thought the food would be average, I ended up having one of the best Caesar salads I’ve had in a long time. The only advice I would give you is to wear enough sun cream! Once you out at that pool and the beach, you not going to want to go anywhere and the sun in Jaco is a lot stronger than in San Jose! Another thing is that the place is really central. We parked the car and left it. There is a grocery store right across the street as well as a pharmacy and a couple a fast food joints if you feeling lazy ?. But what we loved was heading over the Municipality Recreational area across the street where there are a bunch of local artists selling all sorts and some great live art too. It’s worth checking out the guy there who paints these amazing landscapes with spray paint. Also there is some great street food to grab there. Really nice place to stroll around. On the other hand you can head up the main strip and there are a ton of great restaurants and bars and all in walking/stumbling distance. So thanks Marty and Janice! A great spot, really comfortable and I’m sure I’ll be staying again.

First time in Jaco

I was in Jaco for the first time and found the condo on VRBO. The pictures were nice and the reviews helpful, but it was much nicer than I thought it was going to be. I had some friends staying over at Los Suenos and when they saw the condo they were pretty disappointed with their plans to be at Los Suenos. One of my friends had been to Jaco 12 times, he said that he will stay at Diamante Del Sol from now on, no questions about it.

Brand new condo overlooking beach / super convenient

This place is more modern than my home in the US. It is spotless and fully fitted out with electronics, kitchen appliances, and linens, etc. The wrap-around balcony looks over the palm trees and ocean. The staff is friendly and helpful. It's very private and secure with a great pool, just like the pictures. We didn't really use our car since restaurants and stores are just down the end of the block. Great price too. I would definitely recommend this to a friend and will return myself.

Best location in town, very luxurious feel!

So happy that we chose this condo! Not interested in taking a cab or renting a car, I got more than what I had expected. This condo is in the perfect location, right on the beach and just close enough to all of the things town has to offer! The condo was spotless and much larger that we had imagined. Could not have been happier with the room sizes and the showers. Such luxury at a great price. Marty was very helpful with setting up transport to and from the airport which made the whole vacation even more hassle free. I would definitely recommend this place for any type of traveler, and I will admit that our young group even stayed in one night we loved it so much. A couple of dinner places that are a must include Pile Pile, and Lemon Zest, and remember it's all within walking distance. I will definitely be returning!

Amazing Stay in Paradise

What an Amazing Stay in Jaco !! The condo was incredibly well decorated and kept. I couldn't believe how spacious and luxurious both the bedrooms and bathrooms were-- very spa-like. The only thing that topped the condo's interior were the gorgeous views from the living room and the three balconies. Two of the balconies looked over palm trees and the beach, and the other had a view of beautiful mountains. During the day, we split our time between the beach and the pool, where you can order food and drinks right from your chair. One of the nicest parts about the pool area is that there are plenty of places in the sun and shade, even in the pool itself. Every evening, we relaxed on one of the balconies, just watching the sun set over the ocean. It was really convenient that the Diamante del Sol is just steps away from all the shops and restaurants in Jaco, all while maintaining the privacy and feel of a resort. Finally, we were so glad that we decided to rent specifically from Marty and Janice. We've stayed at another unit in Diamante del Sol before that was not nearly as nice as their unit. Also, because they live right in Costa Rica, they were able to set us up with a driver from the airport and give us all sorts of recommendations, from restaurants to sightseeing. Without their advice to hire a guide at Manuel Antonio National Park, we certainly would not have seen all the wildlife that we did. We loved our stay in Jaco and cannot wait to come back again soon!

En primer lugar me encantó la facil, clara y rápida comunicación con los propietarios. Tratar directamente con los dueños fue genial. En segundo lugar, el condominio con vista al océano es absolutamente impresionante! Se observan hermosos atardeceres desde el balcón!!! El condominio está impecable, totalmente equipado y con todo lo que necesita para tener una cómoda y lujosa estancia en un condominio frente a la playa. La cocina es de lujo y muy amplia para comodidad de los usuarios. Las habitaciones son bellísimas y cada una posee balcón. Los baños impecables y espaciosos. Un comedor grande y bellísimo. El condominio tiene una excelente iluminación y ventilación natural también. En tercer lugar la piscina, es preciosa y queda inmediatamente junto al condominio, no hay que caminar nada para llegar a ella. El agua de la piscina es super limpia y refrescante, uno no quiere salir de ella!! La seguridad es las 24 horas del día y el acceso al parqueo funciona perfectamente, de hecho los guardas y el personal son muy amables. Disfruté muchisimo mi estancia en éste condominio!!

Couldn't Get Much Better Than This!

I was here with my husband, best friend, sister and parents. We walked in this place and could not believe how luxurious and big it was! The location couldn't be better, directly on the beach, surrounded by palm trees, side unit with 3 huge balconies. This was nicer than the Marriott we stayed in the night before! Incredibly clean and modern furnishings. One block from downtown Jaco, with many stores and restaurants. It's the north side of the building, so it doesn't heat up from the sun. If you don't want to get all sandy, there's a beautiful pool located steps away. It fit our group of 6 people very comfortably. The owner was very helpful in answering questions and providing recommendations. I would absolutely recommend this place to any of our friends. While in town, check out Cost Rica Waterfall Tours and the restaurant "Poseidon" for great seafood and dessert. Thanks for a GREAT stay in Jaco!!!

Wonderful location!!

My family was in Jaco for my son's wedding. We rented this 3 bedroom condo for the week and it was perfect! Views are wonderful, right on the beach. Pool is great! We are already planning to return and rent it again!

Condo is so nice and modern, I'm personally thinking about investing in one.

The moment the guys walk into this condo, all I can hear from the guys are how nice the place is. The place is just plain awesome, from the beach view balcony, modern living room, kitchen, bedroom, and bathroom. Every agree to rent out the condo again when we come back to Jaco on our next vacation. My favorite thing to do is to wake up in the morning and walk out to the balcony to enjoy my cup of coffee and the ocean view. This kind of feeling each morning is "Priceless". The owner are so helpful in answering any questions I had throughout the trip. All in all, this place is wonderful and would be a waste if anyone pass this condo up when staying in Jaco, Costa Rica.

A wonderful stay at a wonderful place!

There aren't enough words to describe how immaculate, convenient, and scenic this condo was for our week long stay. This three bedroom upscale modern condo felt like a fantasy home away from from, offering amazing views from its 3 balconies. The interior is spacious, comfortable, and if there weren't so many things to do in Jaco, we would gladly have stayed in the condo the whole trip! Within 30 seconds, you can be lounging by the beautiful waterfall pool, perusing the shops and restaurants in downtown Jaco, or beach combing or surfing the Pacific. It's location is primo, at the center of it all. Combine all of the above with a price that can't be beat, I honestly don't think there is anywhere I'd rather stay in Costa Rica. The staff is friendly and helpful and made us feel welcome from the moment we drove up. The owner was nice enough to offer us many recommendations for restaurants and activities - all which turned out to be 100% on the money. We will never forget our time here.

Stunning condo, Great Ocean Front!!

We have stayed at Mr. Rainer´s condo and really had a great time. From the first time I spoke to him on the phone, he was very helpful in all matters concerning the condo and sorroundings. The day of our arrival at Diamente del Sol, we first met the Guard at the entrance of the place, him and the staff in general were very polite, helpful and really made us feel very welcomed. Diamante del Sol is great for all of those who are looking for a getaway to surf, have fun and enjoy with their families and friends. My wife and I had our two kids with us, ages 7 and 4, and they certainly enjoyed this place, as they were able to have their own bedrooms and ofcourse, the easy access to the swiming pool. Diamante del Sol is conveniently located, as you can walk to most places, such as restaurants, shops, supermarkets, bars, and there is also a brand new movie theater for the little ones to enjoy! We live one hour away from Jaco, in Manuel Antonio, Costa Rica, and we are already considering on going back soon. My wife and I have been on the Tourism bussiness for 8 years, and we highly recomend Diamante del Sol to anyone who wants to enjoy of a high quality place, great weather and nice environment.

Staying here twice already and will come again if there will be a chance. The views are amazing: ocean and palm trees around, some wild nature. The only place at the beach where you can enjoy the comfort of the residence being right near the beach, watching the ocean. Beautiful view from the apartment windows. The apartments themselves are way better then 5 star hotel! Plenty of space and fantastic conditions! The guard service is nice, polite and helpful. The whole community is brand new, clean and pleasant. Really, you can't find a better place to stay in Jaco! Close to everything and right at the beach at the same time... You must give it a try!

Great Stay in Jaco

I stayed in Costa Rica for two weeks -- with only a three-day weekend trip to Jaco on the Pacific Ocean. By far, my stay at the this propertymade my entire two week trip worth it. To begin with, communication with the owners was so simple and easy! They have got to be the nicest couple I have met in my travels (and I have been as far as Asia on extended vacations). You have nothing to worry about with respect to hidden fees or charges, or any other problems that are typical of internet lodging, if you rent from them! As I am a female traveler -- traveling with only one other female -- I had to be cautious, like any other smart traveler. Working with the owners was a breath of fresh air. Secondly, their ocean view condo is absolutely breathtaking!! What a value for the price!! The condo is immaculate, fully stocked with a gorgeous kitche, dishware and laundry materials -- everything you need for a beach front stay. The mattresses, sheets, towels and shower facilities in the condo are 5-star comfort. We showered all of our cares away that first night and continued to relax, thanks to these luxury amenities, for the rest of the weekend. Diamante del Sol is by far one of the nicest properties on this stretch of Jaco beach. The campus is secured 24 hours a day and no visitors are allowed without clearance from the tenant. As a female traveler, this was reassuring by far. The staff also connected us with a zip-lining and ATV tour company -- we were booked for the trip after 5 minutes, and had the time of our lives!! Words cannot express how helpful and accomodating the staff is!! It is also obvious that the owners have a good relationship with the staff -- and in turn they went the extra mile with us as their guests. Without a doubt, when I return to Jaco, it will be at this property, from these owners. If only all travel went as smoothly as it did with them at Diamante Del Sol! So, do yourself a favor, and treat yourself by booking this property -- you will NOT be disappointed!!

Words will never be able to capture the beauty and wonder of my stay. This condo is incredible! It is spacious, ornate, and luxurious. The most amazing feature (though it's hard to choose just one) is the view. The balconies (multiple!) look out over a magnificent view of the ocean. The beds are extremely comfortable-- which is of extreme importance to me when traveling. The location is absolutely perfect. The kitchen is fully equipped with modern gadgets. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Highly recommended.

I returned from Costa Rica yesterday and I have to say it was another wonderful trip. This Condo is absolutely beautiful and I am so glad I found it. The pictures did not do it justice. The office staff and Security were great as well. They were very helpful. It is located in the center of town and directly on the beach. I will definitely stay here again. Pura Vida!

Excellent location and Beautiful apartment

Spent a long weekend at this sea front facing apartment. Upon entry the apartment is stylish with 3 large bedrooms all on suite. The living area has everything you need, large dining table, sofa and coffee table with a large flat screen mounted on the wall - with a decent selection of sports channels for those whom cant miss it! The kitchen is fully stocked and ready to use and the electric cooker heats instantly. The frisge is large and dispenses drinking water, and crushed ice which is cool. We used the kitchen mainly for some breakfasts and lunchs and couldnt have been more pleased. Depending on whether you are an AC fan, each room has both AC control and fan. The views from the apartment are one of the best in the area with huge balconies on all bedrooms and living area (3 in fact) 2 of which over look the sea - great for sunsets. Sleeping area, the main bedroom had another flat screen and sleeping wasnt a problem after a day by the pool. The pool area is relaxed and big enough to accomodate the guests without feeling cramped and there is secure access to the beach, monitored by security. Cant recommend this place enough, and we for one will be hoping for a quick return. It's high level living in Jaco.

PERFECT CONDO!

This is truly a perfect place to stay! I am a Canadian living in Costa Rica and I needed to find an elegant beach location to take my parents when they came to visit me. I opted for this 3 bedroom condo on the beach and it turned out to be luxurious, spacious and arguably the best development in Jaco. The condo itself was amazing; beautiful furniture, gorgeous kitchen, very comfortable beds, and wonderful bathrooms – not to mention amazing sunset views from the balconies! It’s right on the beach so you have the choice of swimming in the ocean or lounging by the stunning pool. There are many great restaurants within walking distance (our favorite was Lemon Zest, owned by a chef who is originally from Florida). Also, the bar scene is very fun if you like to party! There is a grocery store right across the street making it easy to pick up food and drinks. I highly recommend this condo for all parties seeking a relaxing and enjoyable vacation!
