Beautiful Home with Best View on the Lake
Our home is located on the main channel of Badin Lake with views of Morrow Mountain range and Uwharrie National Park in the distance.
Five bedrooms on three floors or three bedrooms on 2 floors, our home offers a beautiful, open, floor plan with palladium windows that usher in all the serenity and splendor that this peaceful retreat has to offer. Three floors of custom design inside and out, makes it one of a kind.
For the convenience of our guests, all bed, bath and kitchen linens are furnish and in place when they arrive.
The master suite is located on the upstairs floor with 2 queen beds, a jetted jacuzzi tub,and separate comode room. French doors open onto a balcony overlooking the lake. A second guestroom with twin beds is located upstairs with a private bath as well. A third guestroom is located on the main floor with a full bath. The family area with large screen TV is located on the main floor along with the kitchen, laundry room, dining and other sitting areas, all with lake views. Our dining table will seat 10 comfortably and we have 3 bar seats at the kitchen counter close by. Also, for extra seating, we have a card table and chairs to accommodate a larger group. From this area, french doors open onto a deck the width of the house that leads to a sitting area with table, unbrella and chairs overlooking the lake as well.
A second family room, with a large screen TV, is located on the first floor with wet bar, joined with 4th and 5th guestrooms, one with queen bed and the other with twin beds and baby crib and a shared full bath. All bedrooms have TVs except for the main floor guest room, for those who prefer a quiet and peaceful atmosphere.
The downstairs floor opens onto a covered patio area with gas grill and seating.
Lake Badin, called Badin Lake by locals, is nestled in the heart of the Uwharrie National Forest and is home to North Carolina's number two, private, golf course, The Old North State Club.
With 115 miles of shoreline, two-thirds of which is undeveloped, you are always just minutes from your very own golden pond.
Our boat dock can accommodate your boat on 3 sides. We have steps for easy access for swimming as well. Also, a cabana for shade over the table and chairs on the dock makes a very nice setting for a picnic. Our "beach" area provides a gradual slope for the "little ones" to play.
Spend the day boating, swimming, fishing, or simply relaxing on the pier with the sound of the water soothing your stress away.
Ready for adventure... all within 30 minutes... Pottery Capital of North Carolina at Seagrove. . Our stay in the English's lake home has created memories that we all will treasure. The home itself is a visual treat with stunning views of Badin Lake and the Uwharrie Mountains. The architecture and design of the house is stunning and the maintenance is immaculate. Our group of 11 was very comfortable, as the house has more than ample room to spread out. The main floor had lots of seating (three areas) and great views of the lake from inside as well as the huge deck. The lower level is where the kids wanted to stay because of the convenient access to the lake and the comfortable family room. Upstairs the master suite with huge soaking tub and private balcony was a treat and gave us even more beautiful views of the lake. The kitchen was well equipped, and the refrigerator provided lots of ice during the hot days. We were pleasantly surprised that civilization was not too far away (a new Wal-Mart Express in Richfield came in handy) but we felt like we were a million miles from our ordinary routines. I am looking forward to another stay at this slice of heaven on earth as soon as possible. Linda has been a pleasure to deal with and I would recommend her and this property to anyone interested in a lake retreat.

Dear Linda & Al, Your home was perfect for our family. Our plan was to spend some quality time with our 3 children & 2 granddaughters. Your home made that possible & even more. Our sons loved the opportunity to fish each weekend and our daughter loved preparing meals in your well equipped kitchen. Our granddaughters loved having their "own room" just like at home. Your home is beautiful and shows how warm its owners are. Having the boat dock allowed our son to bring his pontoon boat here so we could have "lunch criuses" Nothing compared to the beautiful sunrises and colorful view of autumn leaves. You have an ideal spot on the lake. We had our oldest son'e 40th B-day party here & hope to return in 2011 when the next has their 40th. Thanks again for a beautiful memory. We'll keep in touch. Have a very Merry Christmas.
