  Our family of 12 came from 6 different states/locations to celebrate Thanksgiving and 60th anniversary of my in-laws. This house is beautiful but yet so very inviting & comfortable - there was enough space for all of us and EVERYTHING you could think of is there.....we did alot of cooking and the kitchen ( along with the rest of the house) had everything we needed - we were able to get all twelve around the dining table and used the card table to hold the food - very special as it had been 10 years since everyone was together at the same time, We lucked out and the weather was great 60's/40's so it was really nice to be able to sit outside ( many sitting areas) and the lake view is amazing!! we grilled - the boys even had the fire pit going one night - they did some fishing.....I can't say enough good things - I miss this house!! Linda was a pleasure to work with - thank you so much for offering this home - we all will have very fond memories and remember good times! Hopefully it won't be another 10 years and we will be able to return! Thank you again and we wish your family a blessed & Merry Christmas!!

  Linda, Thank You very much for opening your beautiful property to us for our stay in Badin Lake. I was able to play 3 rounds golf with my brother in law at Tott Hill Farms 30 minutes away. The golf course and staff were cordial as well ! The weather was awesome, the accommodations wonderful, the lake was refreshing, and the fish were biting, the now it's back to reality.   My family and I had such a wonderful time staying at this beautiful lake home. There is not one thing I would change as this beauty is well equipped with all the bells and whistles! When you walk into the home, you are captivated by the awesome view of the lake! Also, each bedroom has it's own bathroom therefore making each one of you feel as though you have your very own private suite! I cannot say enough positive and nice things about this property and the owners! Thank you so much to the owners for opening up your beautiful home to my family and I.

  My family stayed there last week and had a wonderful time. The house was beautiful and well appointed. The downstairs bedrooms had a separate sitting area, which was ideal for the kids, and the upstairs balcony had a great view of the lake. We will definitely be back next year!

  This is an absolutely beautiful home to spend the week in! We celebrated our 10year wedding anniversary fishing and golfing and relaxing! The English's have left no detail untouched for us! Thank you and we hope to come back again!

  Our stay in the English's lake home has created memories that we all will treasure. The home itself is a visual treat with stunning views of Badin Lake and the Uwharrie Mountains. The architecture and design of the house is stunning and the maintenance is immaculate. Our group of 11 was very comfortable, as the house has more than ample room to spread out. The main floor had lots of seating (three areas) and great views of the lake from inside as well as the huge deck. The lower level is where the kids wanted to stay because of the convenient access to the lake and the comfortable family room. Upstairs the master suite with huge soaking tub and private balcony was a treat and gave us even more beautiful views of the lake. The kitchen was well equipped, and the refrigerator provided lots of ice during the hot days. We were pleasantly surprised that civilization was not too far away (a new Wal-Mart Express in Richfield came in handy) but we felt like we were a million miles from our ordinary routines. I am looking forward to another stay at this slice of heaven on earth as soon as possible. Linda has been a pleasure to deal with and I would recommend her and this property to anyone interested in a lake retreat.

  Dear Linda & Al, Your home was perfect for our family. Our plan was to spend some quality time with our 3 children & 2 granddaughters. Your home made that possible & even more. Our sons loved the opportunity to fish each weekend and our daughter loved preparing meals in your well equipped kitchen. Our granddaughters loved having their "own room" just like at home. Your home is beautiful and shows how warm its owners are. Having the boat dock allowed our son to bring his pontoon boat here so we could have "lunch criuses" Nothing compared to the beautiful sunrises and colorful view of autumn leaves. You have an ideal spot on the lake. We had our oldest son'e 40th B-day party here & hope to return in 2011 when the next has their 40th. Thanks again for a beautiful memory. We'll keep in touch. Have a very Merry Christmas.
