This charming and comfortable adobe was our home for seven weeks this winter and though that is a long time to be away, we were not ready to leave. The house is but a block from the historic town square, quality restaurants and a funky little movie theater. The kitchen is large and well equipped and the bed is amazingly comfortable. The back patio provides a lovely place to relax, sit by the fire, or gaze at the stars. The bookshelves were loaded with fascinating reads, good music and dvds. Tamra was exceedingly kind and helpful and had lots of good travel tips as well. Really, our experience here was perfect.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+.

What a beautiful place to visit. The house was chock full of southwestern charm. We loved it so much.It was cozy and romantic and so close to the square. We had a wonderful time in spite of the crazy 3 inches of snow that is so unusual. We were there in December and it made holiday magic, but we kept telling people the reason the weather was so cold and snowy was because we were from Wisconsin and we'll take it back home with us when we go. Tamra was a wonderful and helped answer all our questions. The house was darling inside and out and we couldn't have been more pleased. We would most definitely recommend this to a friend.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, romantic getaway, age 55+.

My huband and I had not been to this area before. We found the casita amazing, comfortable and clean. The pictures are not an over representation. We spent hours on the front and back patio. We walked to many (all?) of the local shops. The restaurants were within walking distance but the farmers market in Las Cruces, along with the wonderful cooking facilities, inside and out of the casita, gave us reason not to venture to many restaurants in the area. This was a memorable spot for us. We would recommend it to any couple wanting to experience an realxed, out of the hustle get away.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+.

Great Alternative to Hotels!

Are you tired of the powdered eggs served at most hotels? Had too many unscheduled "wake-up calls" from hotels guests near your room? Or maybe you've had enough of the incessant sounds of traffic providing a soundtrack for your dreams? Well, you should change things up a bit and stay at this beautiful rental property! After a long day at work, it was nice to be able to relax here. All the creature-comforts of home found here. No detail overlooked. A quick trip to the store and you can get just what you need in order to cook meals in the spacious kitchen. I was definitely more productive & rested here than in many a sleepless night at a hotel chain. Enjoying your own cup of morning coffee on the beautiful patio sure beats having to get dressed, fight the crowds, stand in a free buffet line (for more powdered eggs!), and take a sip of some "bold, but cold" in styrofoam. In the evening at this wonderful property, you can put a few logs in the outdoor fireplace and enjoy the open air of Southern New Mexico. Instead of channel-surfing or pay-per-view, you can enjoy a movie from amongst the vast selection of films. You can even wash some clothes if you need to, relax while reading a book in the living room, or check email since Wi-Fi is available here too! Then, when you're ready to wind down, enjoy some of the local wine, visit local shops, and treat yourself to some local cuisine before nestling down to bed in one of the most comfortable mattresses I've slept on while out of town - yet another reason not to worry about missing out on earning hotel points on your next trip! A lot of thought and care went into this rental property. What you see is what you get, and more! If you like the photos, you'll love the property. This is a clean, comfortable place that's cozy too. The location of this property puts you right in the middle of the history, charm, and friendly people of Mesilla, NM. Hey! You work hard. Why not spoil yourself whether it's for business or leisure? We're glad we did. You will be too!Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+.

I had the most amazing time at this lovely casita. It is beautiful! I loved the living room, and the bed was so comfortable. The location is peaceful, tucked away, but right next to the Mesilla plaza. I could hear the church bells. Shelly and Tamara were so nice to work with and flexible. I will most definitely be making another reservation soon! I can't wait to come back!!!Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+.
