We are just back from a 4-night stay in beautiful Rome in Jason's apartment. I travelled with 4 other adults. The most impressive draw to this property is the location beside the Pantheon - it is simply stunning. It is also very close to the Trevi fountain, the shopping district and within easy walking distance of the Spanish Steps. We also walked to St. Peter's Basilica (20/25 mins) from here. The apartment, which was recently renovated, was beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. The bathrooms, both of which contain showers, were particularly lovely. The bedrooms had 2 very comfortable double/king beds (not twin beds, as you might expect in Italy, but since I was travelling with my sisters, this didn't pose a problem) and there was a fold-out double bed in the living room. The apartment is located directly opposite Jason's restaurant, Fortunato Al Pantheon (which we ate in on one night and it was wonderful). There is a small elevator up to the apartment which is on the 3rd floor which was great as my mother was travelling with us and would not have been able for the flights of stairs. Despite it's location, there is very little street noise when the bedroom windows are closed as the street is for pedestrians only. There is a decent supermarket around the corner which is reasonably priced and has all you need for breakfast or packed lunches. Any drawbacks? If you are looking for an apartment with views, this is not for you, as there are only 2 windows in the bedrooms which overlook the lane below but we didn't think this detracted from the property given it's location. The kitchen, while having all modern equipment, is rather small but we only used it for making breakfast in the morning so that didn't bother us. I think the only problem we had was that there was no electric tea-kettle which us Irish are used to for our many cups of tea!! There was, however, a steel jug for boiling water on the gas stove so that was the first job for the early riser in the morning and it worked out fine. I would highly recommend this apartment for a group of 5 adults or a family with children. This was my second visit to Rome and I loved it even more this time because of where we stayed and having the ability to walk out the door and ramble the many little laneways that criss-cross the Pantheon Square.Did you find this review helpful? I booked this apartment for our stay in Rome. Just before we arrived, we were called by Jason who told us that a pipe had broken in the apartment. When we arrived, he said that since it was still being fixed, he would put us in a better apartment and he would cover the difference. He put us in a very nice place in an astounding location. He also helped us with getting a driver when we needed one. Despite being very busy with his restaurant, he was available for our needs. Although we never did get to see inside his apartment (which is now fixed), I can tell you that it is in a perfect location within feet of the Pantheon. I can also tell you that Jason is a really nice and dependable guy. When we go back to Rome, we will be renting from him again and we are recommending him to our friends here.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with teenagers, sightseeing.

We stayed in this apartment for a few days in October with our two children, ages 2 and 4. The apartment is newly renovated, sparkling clean, and comfortable--the pictures are all very accurate. The location is wonderful--on a quiet street just across from the Pantheon. We loved being able to wander around the square in front of the Pantheon in the early morning before the crowds arrived, when it was virtually empty. At the other end of the block is Piazza della Madelena, with several pleasant and kid-friendly restaurants, along with a San Crispino ice cream shop. We could walk to most of the major sites, including Piazza Navona, the Trevi Fountain, and (a bit further) the Colosseum. Jason was very friendly and helpful--I appreciated that he did not add a million "fees" to the basic rental rate, as many of the Rome rentals seem to do. One night when the kids were too tired to go out we ordered up from Jason's restaurant, da Fortunato, across the street, and enjoyed an excellent meal in the comfort of the apartment. We were among the first renters since the apartment was renovated, and it was lacking a few small things like silverware, pots and pans, and coffee maker that would have been useful for a family with kids--I have no doubt Jason will add these things for future renters. If you go to Rome with kids, I highly recommend visiting the Villa Borghese and renting a "riscio" bike for 2-4 people.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 2/2
