Completely renovated in the summer of 2012, this studio apartment is a joy to experience. Second floor walk-up with two large, sunny windows facing the back of the building. Very private and you don’t get Charles St. traffic noise. Non-working but gorgeous marble fireplace. The “small is beautiful” mantra fits in every way. It includes a fully equipped, extremely functional kitchen with new appliances, an eat-in kitchen counter, living room, desk, dining table and chairs and a cozy bed nook that is hidden from view. Quality linens and towels. The bathroom has a shiny new tub and vanity that fit in beautifully with the 1920’s black and white basket weave tile floor. The owner/architectural designer has anticipated your every need and provides you with a beautiful little package that is so inviting, it feels like you’ve stepped into your own new home. You'll love walking downstairs and being in the center of sweet Charles Street, with everything at your finger tips.

Just as described, this is a small but very comfortable and functional studio. I stayed here by myself, but it would also be fine for two. One of the nicest that I've stayed in on Beacon Hill, and I highly recommend it.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, romantic getaway.

We were delighted to stay in this charming apartment which is right in the heart of Boston but tucked away from noisy traffic. Very quiet. The location is great, easy to walk around most of Boston. We enjoyed the historical walks and the neighborhood feeling. The information booklet had the best information about the surrounding area, good tips on where to go for meals and to shop. All walking distance.The unit itself is very clean and full of light. Bed and shower were both great. Place has a fully equipped kitchen. We had everything we needed. Owners definitely put a lot of thinking and heart into renovating this historical apartment and turning it into a cozy, updated studio. Feels like home away from home. Definitely recommend it.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Stayed five nights in this charming, immaculate apartment in the best location imaginable. The owners have put a lot of thought and care into decor, amenities and comfort, and we enjoyed every moment of our visit. Though you are right on Charles St. the apartment is in the back of the building and is completely private and quiet. Walk everywhere to excellent restaurants, coffee, shopping, museums, Whole Foods, CVS, etc. Don't miss dinner at Toscana, pizza at Fig's and coffee at Thinking Cup across the Common. We felt like we were part of the neighborhood. Owners were a breeze to work with and very responsive to questions. Highly recommended and can't wait to return.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We had a such a great time visiting Boston and one of the main reasons was because we had this lovely apartment to come home to each night and to wake up in every morning. The only problem was that we were torn between going out and staying in. We had some pretty cold weather so we were especially glad to have more than a hotel room to hang out in. Cozy and comfortable! It has everything you need to cook with. Lots of places to get take-out in the immediate neighborhood. We felt very special ducking off the busy street into our own apartment! We were lucky to spend Christmas in this beautiful studio and it was magical! The apartment is immaculate, beautifully decorated and truly feels like home. We loved having fully equipped kitchen and personal touches throughout the apartment. It actually feels more spacious than it looks in the pictures. It was such a treat to be right in the heart of Beacon Hill in walking distance to many great restaurants, Boston Commons and to see the city decorated for the Holidays. About the owner: We are an architectural designer and social services counselor who live and work on Nantucket Island. In our spare time, we like to create 'homes away from home' and share them with friends and renting guests. We actually take a lot of pleasure anticipating one's every need in order to make each environment exceedingly comfortable and tasteful. Our children find it annoying to go to restaurants or hotels with us because we constantly deconstruct the design and reconstruct an ambiance that we would enjoy being in. An intimate, calm and comfortable ambiance is the key component to our success. We have no doubt you will feel that way in the spaces we have created on Beacon Hill. We have another apartment on Hancock St. as well.
