Our home rental includes amenity cards allowing facility privileges for the all new Club at Seabrook Island. The Seabrook Island Club; including The 52,000 sq.ft."Island House" clubhouse, the 5,000 sq.ft. Beach Club, Racquet Club, 22 acre Equestrian Center and the 24,000 sq.ft. Lake House and Fitness Center have been completely rebuilt in 2010. Amenities include two championship golf courses (one designed by Robert Trent Jones), tennis club, swimming pools, all restaurants, state of the art fitness center, kids' camp, and equestrian center.
The new Beach Club offers ocean-side swimming pools, restaurants and the Seabrook Island Shop. Across the street is the newly built clubhouse, pro shop and fine dining. The Seabrook fitness center/pool complex is located within the beautiful new Lake House. Enjoy group fitness classes, indoor and outdoor pools and the center's new fitness equipment. Bicycle rentals are available and delivered right to your door; ask us for information. Outside the gate is Bohicket Marina offering powerboat and sailboat rentals, Jet Ski, parasailing, fishing guides including tackle. Sign up for deep-sea charters, kayaking, shelling and Eco tours. In addition, there are four other nearby golf courses.
Seabrook is located just one mile from Kiawah Island and is a 30 minute drive to Charleston where you will find excellent shopping, restaurants and historic points of interest.

Beautiful Location with some issues

This is a very nice home on a spectacular island however we had some major issues.....Our written contract stated the arrival time was 3:00, we arrived at 3:45 and the house was a disaster. We called the property manager and she proceeded to argue with us about the arrival time. After driving for 10 hours we had to leave again in order for the "cleaning crew" to clean the house. On day 3 the air conditioner broke and it took 1.5 days to get repaired. There were also many bugs inside the house especially spiders and very large roaches. We understand that this house is in the middle of the woods of South Carolina but we live in Florida and do not have roaches INSIDE our home. It goes without saying that unexpected things happen but when it is one thing after another you have to wonder. We had a great time enjoying the amenities of the island and managed to salvage some of the vacation spending time at the beach and the pools. However given the difficulties we experienced we decided to cut our vacation short.
Owner response:We always appreciate feedback on our property. It does help us continually improve our guests' experience. The guest is correct about our Property Manager being wrong about the check in time. We have set this straight for future guests. We invest in regular preventative maintenance of all of our major systems. Even so, things break. Our air conditioner on one side of the house did have a problem that required a new part, which had to be ordered. Frankly, our HVAC guy did well to get the unit up and running in 1 1/2 days. We have monthly pest service, along with "on demand" service readily available. I checked back with the previous guest and the guest that followed for their feedback regarding bugs. Neither felt it was an issue. So, we can not explain our guests findings. We are sorry Leigh Ann stay was not as enjoyable as she wanted.

We had a wonderful stay here! The beach was a short walk (and even shorter bicycle ride) to the beach. The oceanfront was very clean and not terribly crowded even during peak season. The clubhouse, which has been beautifully remodeled, was a nice reprieve from the mid-day sun. On the nights we didn't eat out, we were able to grill out on the deck and eat in the screened-in porch (that has a ceiling fan!) and watch the night fall. We saw families of deer walking through the forested back yard nearly every morning and evening. We'll certainly be coming back - would definitely recommend to family and friends.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, adventure seekers, families with young children, families with teenagers, age 55+, girls getaway.
