About the owner: We were both raised in Texas. After college, we lived in the heart of San Francisco for several years and then decided to come back to Texas to be closer to family and to make Austin our home. That's a picture of us enjoying a beer in downtown Austin!
Why the Owner Chose Other Austin Properties:
If you appreciate architecture and design, you will enjoy this house. It is a true mid-century modern home built in 1955. We are the only other people to have lived in this house other than the couple who built this home in the 1950's. We love it so much that we decided to make it available to travelers looking to be in a central/downtown location while also getting a flavor for what it's like to actually live in one of Austin's great little neighborhoods.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
The original owners took such good care of the house, you'll find many original details from the 1950's throughout the home. One of our biggest contributions to this house since we purchased it is the landscaped backyard. We love yard games, which you'll find several built into the landscape and more available in the workshop!
