Just got back about a week ago and already want to go back!! The condo was nicely appointed and clean. Gabriel, the owner, was very accommodating and went out of his way to make sure our stay was memorable. We had all the amenities we needed but the best part was being right on the water and having the sound of the waves put us to sleep every night. The beach is great for swimming and long walks and if you go east on the beach you can cross over to the Ritz Carlton beach which is also beautiful. There is a great restaurant just at the point where you cross over called La Playita which is right on the water! Go there to eat or for drinks, the atmosphere is amazing. We rented a car for part of our stay and found this location to be great. You are close to the airport (not bothered by airplane noise), great restaurants, and upscale hotels with easy access to the freeway when travelling to other parts of the island. Highly recommend attractions like the rainforest, Old San Juan (went there several times for dinner), rum factory, outlet malls (great buys), and west part of the island, Isabella! Beautiful crystal clear water. The locals were so friendly and helpful when we asked for help or directions. There is so much to see and explore on the island that we have to go back and will definitely stay at Gabriel's again.

We just returned from 10 days at this property. The Marbella Condos are the most sought after buildings in the area, beachfront and very secure. The condo itself was on the 6th floor, clean, neat and newly decorated. We enjoyed breakfast and lunch on the lovely balcony every day, and because of its excellent location, we could walk to numerous restaurants every night. We did rent a car from "Charlie's" which is directly across the street as we like to be out and about. We have been going to San Juan every year for the past 10 years, and love it. Gabriel was terrific to deal with, very professional and helpful. Can't wait to go back to our favorite beach.

Owner response: Thanks for staying with us! Marbella del Caribe Oeste (East) just had the elevators renovated and a brand new lobby which makes it, nicer than ever! The location with direct access to one of the best beaches in Puerto Rico, and within walking distance to everything is the reason we bought here. Wireless Wi-Fi, beach chairs and all the necessary comforts of home is provided. Very happy when guests enjoy it as much as we do.

great stay in Isla Verde

As numerous other reviewers have noted, this place is the real deal--close to quality restaurants, nightlife, and best of all, right on the beach. I can't say enough good things about our time there. Gabriel, the super friendly and responsive owner, checked in with us to insure our stay was comfortable. Though we rented a car (to go to El Yunque rainforest), it is completely unnecessary if you plan to stay local and enjoy the beach and swimming pool. We will definitely be back!

Recommended for: Age 55+, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Owner response: Glad you enjoyed our place and Puerto Rico. Not only a car is not neccessary but there is a bus stop right outside our building which takes you to Old San Juan for under $1.00 and gives you a tour of local neighborhoods (takes about one hour). For such a small island Puerto Rico has a lot to offer; from the rain forest to Old San Juan to the caves in Camuy, to Vieques or Culebra islands, to the outlet malls, and some of the nicest beaches anywhere!

Gabriel, we LOVED the condominium/complex. It was extremely clean, beautifully decorated, very quiet, and had an excellent view. This place is centrally located to everything. We took your advice on a couple of your restaurant recommendations and they were great. By the end of our stay we felt very at home. No more hotels for us...we will definitely be staying here again. We didn't pick the best time to go to PR (Tropical Storm Issac came through), but the first part of the week was great! Our timing wasn't great, but the condo choice was. Gabriel answered all questions and checked in to make sure everything was ok. His place is in a prime location, secure, ocean view and really comfortable bed! He had all the amenities we could want and the condo community has a pool, underground parking and is located close to everything in Isla Verde. We will definitely be back (probably in June next time ;)! Highly recommend - you won't be disappointed!

Beautiful beach and a great place to stay!

We stayed in this unit from 8/4/12 - 8/11/12 and had a great week. The apartment is clean, comfortable and in a great location. Beach towels and beach chairs were provided by the very helpful owners. They gave us a welcoming phone call when we arrived and even recommended restaurants and sites to see. I was expecting the weather to be very hot but most of the week was mid 80s during the day with a beautiful breeze off of the water that kept the apartment very comfortable when not using the A/C. The first half of the week we had no car but shopping was local and the public bus stop was directly in front of the building for trips to Old San Juan (only $0.75 each way). It was nice to have an indoor parking space (included with the unit) for the car that we rented for the second half of the week.

Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

Owner response: We know how short one week is when you are on vacation and that's why we try to make your vacation as comfortable as possible, by having beach chairs, beach towels, cooler and all the comforts of home. The location is one of the reasons we purchased this condo. In Isla Verde, you don't need a car to have a great beach vacation, but if you do rent a car, indoor parking with direct elevator access to our floor is available/nice.

We enjoyed our stay in Isla Verde, Puerto Rico! The condo was great even without the air conditioning working~not Gabriel's fault. The view is awesome and there was such a great breeze. The condo is just like the pictures show. Gabriel is very helpful and the condo had everything we needed. This was our first time to the area and would go back again. Thanks for the wonderful place to spend our 30th annivesary!

Owner response: The air conditioning has been fixed and working well. It was a building system problem, but now the central A/C is back on line. We are glad you enjoyed your anniversary in our condo even without a car. Bus stop right outside our building for a scenic (urban) ride to Old San Juan for less than a dollar each way. We are on the "strip" where you will find all the restaurants, hotels (we are one block away from the Intercontinental) casinos, sourvenir shopping, supermarkets all within walking distance. The best part is when you walk out the back of the building and find yourself on the best 3 mile beach in P.R.

What else can I say that hasn't already been said by previous reviewers? It was as adversited. Great location on a beautiful 3 mile beach with night life available at nearby hotels. Across the street from the building are a Walgreens & Charlie's Car Rental along with a variety of restaurants of every price range within walking distance. Also, there's a bus stop in front of the building that will get you to Old San Juan in about 35 minutes. This very nice one bedroom condo has a good balcony view of the beach & ocean to enjoy with your morning coffee or early evening drink. It has two flat screen TV's, wireless internet, DVD player if you decide to stay in for the evening. Everything is provided for the beach from beach chairs, to beach towel, to a beach sheet to laydown on while catching the rays and a small cooler for some cold drinks. Gabriel, the owner, wasn't kidding when I asked him do I have to bring anything inparticular for our stay. He said "just your bathing suits" and he wasn't kidding! Also, Gabriel was great to deal with from beginning to the end and was very prompt in returning our security deposit after he received the condo keys. When we plan our next vacation to Puerto Rico I will be contacting Gabriel first to see if his condo available!

My husband and I spent 6 days in this condo. It has everything you need for a great time. There are chairs on the balcony to enjoy the view. The balcony door opens all the way for a wonderful breeze. We only used the AC at night for the quiet. It is in walking distance to anything you need. The Walgreens across the street was very convenient to pick up milk, cereal, bread, coffee, items like that. The only inconvenience the entire time was that they were remodeling the lobby, so you had to walk out the front door and around the building to get to the pool or beach, but that was a minor thing. We felt safe the whole time with the property well-secured and the car in the gated parking garage. It was also nice that the owner provided beach chairs and other beachy items, but they also rent chairs and umbrellas on the beach for only $4. Gabriel was very easy to work with. He even called after we arrived to make sure everything was ok and to recommend restaurants. We mailed the keys back as soon as we got home, and our deposit arrived a few days later. All in all, I highly recommend this condo.

Enjoyed our stay here! We were in DESPERATE need of sun and beach! The condo was 5min from the airport but we rarely heard planes. The place was clean, in good condition, and afforded us with some great memories. What made it was the constant breeze that flowed through with the windows open. Next door to the Water Beach Club Hotel. Short walk to ESJ & Intercontinental Beach Bar. (Recommend checking out Cafe La Plage also!) Walgreen's across the st, a wonderful bistro (Galluzzo) that we went to everyday for coffee (the food was pretty tasty too). Basically walking distance to everything. You are right in the heart of Isla Verde! Would definitely stay here again!

I would also recommend Cafe Espana a short walk right of the building and over the overpass, for the great oatmeal{avena},quesitos and coffee. Our newly renovated lobby brings a modern but classy touch to our building, with calming music playing in the background and elevators. As always free WiFi is available not only in our condo but the lobby as well. Just added a i-phone/i-pod docking station with speaker, so you can listen to your favorite music in our condo.

We stayed here for 4 days for the PR Heineken Jazz Fest. The apartment is cozy and comfortable, with all amenities, a working kitchen, the WiFi works correctly and free secure underground parking is a plus. There's an ocean view from the balcony, and easy access to and from the freeway makes getting around San Juan a breeze. Easy walking distance to many restaurants and shops and an on-site pool, basketball and tennis courts allow you to get your exercise without any bother. The owner is easy to contact and will help with any issues you might have. Well recommended.

We staid 6 weeks in the condo. It is very confortable and very clean. It got everything to cook. It is very well located, with lot of good restaurants and a large supermarket within a walking distance. The beach is very nice and clean. Ideal for long stay. Nous sommes demeurés 6 semaines a ce condo. Il est tres propre et sa situation est idéale pour de longs sejours. Il y a de tres bons restaurants et un tres gros supermarché a distance de marche. L'autobus T5 passe a la porte et vous conduit au vieux San Juan pour seulement $.35 par passage pour une personne de plus de 60 ans. Il n'est pas nécessaire de louer une voiture. La plage est belle et tres propre. La vue de condo donne directement sur la piscine te la mer. Je recommande ce condo.

Being on the best beach in Puerto Rico(cleaned every morning), one block away from Inter-Continental and El San Juan hotels with casinos, lobby music, night club, and walking distance to good restaurants is the reason we purchased the condo. Close to all highways, and only 20 minutes from wonderful Old San Juan is another big plus. Merci!

We truly enjoyed staying here for 4 nights while in SJ. The view from the living room and deck are incredible. Everything was spotless and ready for us to enjoy. We appreciated the parking space and the security. The beach is awesome , very clean and just steps from the condo back door. We were the first to have a party of 4 adults and did find that the sofa bed is really only comfortable for one adult or 2 small children. The actual bed was VERY comfortable and we were spoiled having a tv in the bedroom as well as the living room. It was nice to have the option of cooking a few meals rather than eating out all the time and having the room to "spread out" more than in a hotel room. We have rented several other times from VRBO and so far have not been disappointed. The owner is very responsive to questions, even called to be sure everything went smoothly right after we arrived. Would definitely recommend to couples and if you have small children, they have a playground in addition to the beach and pool.

My wife and I stayed in this condo for 7 nights in July. I had researched the various rental opportunities and ultimately chose this one. The condo itself was very well-maintained, with all the appropriate necessities provided. If you have a car, the assigned space and security are excellent. The owner was available and responsive and all the logistical issues were handled expeditiously. The unit was located in the heart of Isla Verde with easy availability to everything that is needed...restaurants, drug store, ATM, 24 hr. supermarket, and close access to Luis Munoz Marin International Airport. We had a very pleasant stay indeed. The unit itself had a nice view, 2 large flat screen TV,s, and very quiet. The photos were very representative of the unit. Would recommend...

My wife and I go to PR every year & always spend at least a week in Isla Verde after visiting other parts of the island. This time we stayed 13 days in Isla Verde. We have rented at this particular two building complex several times because of it's location. It is on the beach, has an olympic size pool, parking, security, washer & dryers. A Walgreens is across the street & great hotels & restaurants within a few blocks.. The building has a 24 hr doorman. The condo units we've rented in the pass were not available for our time frame so we rented this one bedroom unit because it was available & the photos looked good. We were not disappointed. The owners are proud of their newly purchased unit & want to make sure the renter is pleased with their stay. The photos accurately represent the apartment. It was clean, furniture is new. AC & hot water worked great. Kitchen had everything you need. There is an LCD TV in the LV & in the BR. The balcony has a great view of the beach & pool area though a full frontal view of the ocean is partially blocked by another building. It is a peaceful unit. We would stay here again.

Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

Awesome condo

My girlfriend and I stayed in this condo in early May 2011. We were very pleased with the entire experience. The condo is well furnished with comfortable sofa/bed, many kitchen accessories, extra towels, nice TVs, and nice furniture. The unit is very spacious and we especially like the balcony which overlooks the pool and has a view of the ocean. We found that many condos in PR do not have balconies; just a sliding door with a railing directly behind it. Another great feature is the parking spot under the building so you never have to search for an empty spot or park on the street. Removing trash is not a problem as there is a trash room on the same floor, but there is no odor in the condo. The owner is a pleasure to work with. There is plenty of fun stuff to do. The beach is nice. The pool is nice. There are many good restaurants close by. We rented kayaks, hiked the rain forest, and went SCUBA diving. There are two grocery stores within a mile of the building which is great if you like to eat at home or pack a meal for the beach. I highly recommend Isla Verde and this condo.
