  We rented this house for a gals weekend in the fall! It was lovely! Great location on the water. We all fell asleep to the sound of the waves. I can imagine it would be amazing in the summertime too, but definitely recommend this for a fall weekend!

  My friends and I could not ask for a better rental home. The house was clean, beautiful and had everything we were looking for. We especially enjoyed the hot tub and screened in porch as we did have some rain during our stay. All in all, we loved it so much we can't wait to come back next year.

  We absolutely loved this beach rental home. The layout of the house was perfect for my family. We used the three bedrooms upstairs and we had friends use the bedroom on the main level. There was plenty of space for all of us. The house was clean, well organized, kitchen nicely stocked with glasses, dishes, pans, etc. The decor was nicely done in a Pottery Barn style. View was exceptional. Access to the beach from the stairs was great. Gorgeous beach. We enjoyed the firepit and the hottub. All around, this exceeded my expectations and we would definitely rent again!

  what a beautiful place to relax with my family and friends. The views and lake breezes wash over you as you drink cocktails on the screen porch and the hot tub soothes away the cares of the work week on one of the lower decks of the house. I especially enjoyed following the meandering path through the beautiful dune grass preserve that lead down to the wooden stairs which in turn lead down to the sugar sand beach below. The beach front along Summerset Cottage is fantastic and clean and we practically had the whole thing to ourselves every day we were there. This part of the beach has a long sandbar and I never worried about the kids playing in the waters of Lake Michigan. The rooms of the house are comfortable and bright and the 3 full bathrooms really made it easy to have a houseful of adults and kids coexist. We especially appreciated the outdoor shower which made sandy feet no problem at all. If your family likes to play games together you will really like the Wii, the pool table, fooseball table and poker table in the family room downstairs which also has a great view of the lake. There is also a room along the back of the house with a long work table that is perfect for children who like to draw and paint and do other messy things. My only regret is we did not bring a telescope to take advantage of the crystal clear evenings and stargaze.....but the moon was so bright while were there it really didn't matter. Finally, the best part for me was the price as you could not get this level of accomodations for the price we paid. We will definately be back to Summerset Cottage and I highly recommend it for anyone with alot of family and friends who wish to spend time together. As the saying goes.....$20.00 for gas to South Haven Michigan....$10.00 for tolls on the Skyway....a week at Summerset Cottage....priceless!!!!!

  My family and I have stayed here twice and I would not want to stay anywhere else. The house is spacious, very clean, and comfortable. The hot tub is a great place for sunset cocktails when the weather is cool and the three decks offer spectacular views. The beach is pristine and uncrowded. Downtown South Haven is only 2 miles away and is filled with great shops, restaurants, and the Maritime Museum. There is a General Store in Glenn which is less than a mile away for basic food and liquor needs. We cannot thank the owners of this house (Rick & Julie) enough for the hospitality. They make you feel like family. We are already booked for this summer.
