Our stay in Uzes was wonderful. Stephanie and Thierry's home is beautiful and they were very accommodating. Uzes is centrally located near many wonderful sights, and their home is easily within walking distance of town. The Wednesday market in Uzes is also one of the best we've experienced in France. I would not hesitate to recommend staying in this home to any of my friends.

I've stayed in Uzes many times and brought groups there. This time I was traveling with three senior citizen women and was looking for a smaller place than I usually rent. This house was perfect. It was a short distance from the center of town, we had a lovely pool to swim in after our days of sightseeing. The photos on the website were accurate. The place was clean and well-maintained. The property owner was very helpful. I would rent this place again myself and recommend it to friends.

Perfect holiday cottage in Uzes
Perfect holiday cottage in Uzes
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this cottage. It was just as the listing described it with two double and one twin bedrooms, comfortable living and dining room, very well equipped kitchen and two spacious bathrooms. The outdoor BBQ and entertainment area was great. The pool would have been good had the days been warmer. Internet worked very well and property was both secure and private. We enjoyed our 10 minute walks to and from the town centre meeting locals and holiday makers along the lovely little stone walled paths. The town of Uzes was just lovely with great cafes, shops and some first class restaurants although we cooked at the cottage most nights with the produce we bought at the Wednesday and Saturday markets. There is plenty to do and see in and around Uzes. We walked to some nearby villages and rode the bikes provided to villages and sites further away e.g. Pont du Gard. Our hosts, Stéphanie and Thierry could not have been more helpful and accommodating. They gave us (2 mature aged couples from Australia) a good introduction to the cottage and to Uzes and were always available to assist with any questions we had. Stéphanie speaks very good English and used her creativity and great taste to decorate the cottage. We consider this property to be an excellent choice for our stay in Uzes and would recommend it as a very clean, well maintained, well equipped, private cottage a short and enjoyable walk from the town. We had originally planned to go to Nimes to rent a car for our 10 day stay (which turned into a 12 day stay) but found the local buses very good so took day trips to Nimes, Ales and Avignon for one and a half euros each way. As we are keen walkers and bike riders we were happy not to have a car however if you want to travel further afield it would be advisable to rent a car either in Nimes or Avignon. The Edgard A15 bus line will get you to and from Avignon and the E52 bus to and from Nimes. The Uzes tourism office staff were very helpful. Uzes is a very historical town of about 8000 people with lovely buildings including a castle for the Duke and Duchess of Uzes. The Place aux Herbes is a lovely square for relaxing over a long lunch. Thank you Stéphanie and Thierry for a wonderful stay at your cottage, hopefully we will be able to visit again.

Wonderful "Find" in a Superb Location

We thoroughly enjoyed out two weeks in Uzes, taking daily trips out from this wonderful villa. Delightfully decorated, lovely garden to dine al fresco, the pool was welcomed as it was hot! The owner was most accomodating, the property was very well maintained, beds comfortable, bathrooms excellent, kitchen just right. It was an absolutely charming place and we will highly recommend it to anyone who asks. We biked to St Quentin la Poterie, walked to several nearby villages, drove to La Pont du Gard, ate in wonderful restaurants, enjoyed the passing scene from numerous cafes. Uzes is fabulous!
