We were very pleased with property. Short walk to all the action but peaceful at condo..Nice pool for kids..small enough to keep a close eye on them while relaxing on chaise lounge..Grill came in handy at pool also as we could make some dinner while kids were having swim..Landlord very easy to talk to and extremely helpful..we accidentally broke an outdoor end table and he was very gracious about it and refunded our total security deposit back to us.. also landlord asked for a fraction of other Owners required security deposit.....BEST VALUE ON VRBO..We will be back next time we decide to stay at wildwood

Recommended for:Families with young children, age 55+, families with teenagers, tourists without a car.

I don't know where to start. I paid top dollar to Stay here in August 2010. The shower back up with 3 inches of dirty water with every shower; There were dirty dishes left in the disher; French fries were left on a baking sheet inside the oven, which smelled; The furniture was stained and brown; the screens were torn/cut with large holes; mold was going on the balcony porch; we had metal yard chairs for out dining room table; the area rugs were rolled up and laying in the corner; area rugs covered large paint stains in the bedroom; stains covered most of the walls. I would not recommend staying here. I wish I had reviews to read before I rented this property.

Stayed here 7/10 and like the review above found this place to be dirty including filthy floors, dirty bathroom on 1st floor, kitchen cabinets looked as if they had not been wiped down in a year. We had to take very quick showers because if not, we would be standing in 5 inches of dirty backflowing water. Several screens had large holes in them. The entertainment center was wobbly and we were fearful that it might topple on our young children. All of the door knobs were loose, almost falling off. The walls looked as if they hadn't been painted since the place was built. On a positive note, the location was great, the complex was quiet. The pool area was clean even though there were only about 6 lounge chairs and 2 tables with chairs. Unfortunately, I would not stay here again.

Blatant misrepresentation of property

This property was filthy dirty, I bought rubber gloves and lysol wipes to clean the kitchen and bathrooms. I have pictures of the filth for anyone interested. The owner said that he would contact the cleaning company. The pictures listed on vrbo.com did not match what was in the unit. The screens were ripped, the walls were painted like a 2 year old did the work. The tubs did not drain so while showering you stand in 6 inches of water. There were 3 pots, no serving bowls, but lots of cutlery. The owner blamed previous tenants whose teenagers "destroyed' the place while their parents went home to work. The pull-out couch had old food stuck to it, no-one would sleep on it. Some beds did not have mattress pads and the mattresses were far from clean, again pictures are available. There were 4 absolutely filthy pillows on the beds, the owner who did come to the unit (to fix chirping fire alarms) put 2 BACK and said that they were not that bad. Right then and there I realized what I was dealing with. There is no pride of ownership, this unit is just a money-maker which is fine but do not charge full price for a substandard product, There is much more but we will end hers, Our advice is stay away from this rental it is not what it is reprepresented to be.

Owner response:The property is professionally cleaned and serviced weekly and who would be willing to certify the condition of the unit..Tenant complained that there was a hair on the floor.One hair does not mean the unit was filthy.The temperature was 95 degrees and tenant complained about damaged screen although windows were never opened and A/C was on the whole time.Tenant complained that there was some mold on outside siding although that had nothing to do with their stay.Landlord fixed slow drains.Tenant complained that there were only 3 pots.I would question why this amount is unreasonable.Landlord immediately fixed the chirping smoke alarm by replacing the battery and proceeding to replace all the batteries of all the smoke alarms so that tenant would not be disturbed again. .Landlord does not agree that the pillows were filthy.There was nothing Landlord could do to satisfy this tenant whose expectations were unreasonable.
