This home is right out of Better Homes and Gardens. Our cozy two-story cottage is located in the heart of the acclaimed Beachwalk Resort Community where there are activities aplenty right outside your door. Across the street from the Beachwalk Resort is beautiful Lake Michigan and Sheridan Beach.
There you can walk, picnic, sail, or just relax. Literally step off your front porch into the sandy shores of Lake Kai. Right next to the house is the outdoor pool and sand volleyball court, the basketball and tennis courts as well as enjoy breakfast, lunch, and dinner on the outdoor veranda overlooking Lake Kai. You can even rent paddle boats.
Make yourself at home in our great room while looking out over Lake Kai. You can cook out on the screened-in porch or patio and be 20 steps from the lake. Walks on the beach, a jacuzzi, and a park right across the street are just a few of the other activities.
Other attractions in the Michigan City area include Washington Park, a 90-acre public park for walks and family gatherings, and Washington Park Zoo, both under a five minute drive. There is a Children's Museum as well as The Old Lighthouse Museum, which is the former lighthouse of Michigan City and has been standing since the late 19th Century.
The Blue Chip Casino is a short drive, as is Prime Outlets Mall, formerly known as the Lighthouse Mall, one of the largest outlet malls in the USA. Fine dining can be found in Michigan City as well as the surrounding areas.
Just outside of Michigan City is the Indiana Dunes National Lake Shore and State Park which boasts 8500 acres of bogs, coastlines, forests, and dunes for hiking. Activities there include hiking, biking, picnicking, and walking.
Another 20 minute ride up to New Buffalo you can experience more restaurants and quaint little shops to your hearts content.
