Love this condo! Just a short walk across the street to the beautiful beach. What the beachfront condos don't have though is a dockside view of the marina and all the waterfront activity happening there. The condo itself is roomy and super comfortable from the beds to the kitchen. Great Sushi/Thai restaurant just a block south. Can't wait to stay here again.Did you find this review helpful? The 7 of us arrived very late the night before Thanksgiving to find a clean - accurate to pictures and description - condo. All we had to do was make the pull-out couch and the roll-away (which we didn't end up needing). There were clean sheets and blankets provided as promised. All of us slept comfortably and were able to enjoy the pool and walk across the street to the Gulf beach or two blocks to St. John's Pass for restaurants and shopping. There were ample towels and beach towels provided and even beach toys for the kids - much appreciated. With the washer and drier we were able to stay on top of laundry needs. Good thing we were warned that dish soap, laundry soap and toiletries were not provided, as we knew to bring samples or to add them to our grocery list upon arrival. We received emails with links to attractions and restaurants and instructions for the lock and combination and how to leave the condo. All was explained very well and always came with phone number and/or email address if we had any questions or if anything was not proper. We were warned that we would not find coffee, filters, condiments, etc., so we went grocery shopping immediately. Recommendations: It would be nice to find salt & pepper and complimentary coffee/tea upon arrival. Both kids and adults loved the Dolphin Quest tour and dolphin sighting. The guide was very informative and entertaining. We would recommend making reservations at the restaurants if you have a party of 7 as we did. Cleaning recommendation: Dust on top of pictures and table tops maybe occured because the condo was unoccupied for a time, but otherwise, the condo was clean and well maintained. Plastic glasses in the cupboards had to be washed and still were not good. The glass glasses were great, and there were enough plates and bowls, pots and pans and silverware for whatever you wanted. We would recommend this property to friends and/or relatives as a good place to take your family.Recommended for: Age 55+, people with disabilities, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: Thank you for the detailed review - we appreciate all your comments. We love sharing details with our cleaning crews to let them know it is appreciated. We tossed the plastic cups so new travelers can buy disposable cups for the pool area.

We booked this place on the day we were checking in and it was all becuase of the extremely responsive property manager. They made it so easy. Liz was very available, even at 8am. The property is nice and clean. It is really big and has all that you need. It is right across the street from the beach and a few steps from all the shops and resturants of Johns Pass. We had rain all day the first day and the property managers were very accomodating and allowed us to have a late checkout. So nice. We had a great time. Comfortable, clean, and close to everything.Recommended for: Families with young children.

Excellent location with beach access directly across the street. The condo was well equipped, spacious and clean. Walking distance to many restaurants & shops was also a plus. Negatives: 1. Maintenance work on the exterior of the building woke us up early every day. 2. The showers & sinks all had draining issues. Overall, GREAT place to stay for the price.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

We just returned from an extended Memorial Day weekend and had an excellent stay as usual. We travel to Treasure Island/Madiera Beach several times a year and fell in love with Madiera Bay Resort. We have stayed there on 3 seperate occassions in the past year in various units. The condo was big enough for all 5 of us (2 adults, 3 children) to stay comfortably without stepping all over each other. There are 3 TV's for rainy days or evenings in. There are also extra pillows and blankets available if necessary. Since our stay was short, we opted to mostly eat out although the kitchen/dining area is big enough to accomodate eating in and seems to have ample pots/pans/plates, etc... John's Pass and the beach are within walking distance so there's no need to drive anywhere. There are even beach chairs and sand toys available. The condo was clean when we arrived. There were enough basic supplies (TP, dishwashing detergent, hand soap) available that we didn't have to spend a day shopping for the basic supplies. If pressed for something negative (which would be nit-picking), it would have been great to have at least one bar of soap supplied for the shower (had Soft Soap for washing hands). I would recommend this unit and this resort.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

My husband and I really enjoyed This place. The beach across the street is beautiful. The condo is big and very comfortable for a family of five. Our kids loved it, they can't wait to go back. The only negative were the cooking pots. (bring your own) these pots were horrible for cooking.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children.
Owner response: Thanks for the feedback. We'll update the kitchen with some new pots and pans as soon as we can!

We rented this unit following our trip to Disney. We were very pleasantly surprised by the spaciousness and cleanliness of it. Location is within walking distance to John's Pass shopping and restraunts. The beach is also an easy walk across the street or other beaches are within an easy drive. I would highly recommend this unit to families with 1 to 4 children looking for lots of space (and TV's) and a relaxing beach vacation.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

This condo was spacious and very clean as the photos showed. It was a great location for our boat rental and visiting John's Pass for shopping and meals. Sitting on the balcony sipping coffee in the morning was wonderful, overlooking a small marina that led out to the intercoastal waterway. The area is busy but our condo was quiet and calming after a long day of boating and beach. The beach across the street was fantastic and we saw more marine life in 2 hours than I had ever expected. I would definitely recommend this condo for anyone traveling to the beaches in the Madeira area. Everything you want to do is very convenient. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, people with disabilities, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.
