We were fortunate to spend a week at North Tahoe Lodge with family and friends as a nice get-away. The Lodge views are spectacular and the decks are big and roomy. Our adult children enjoyed the sauna, steam, hot tub and especially the plunge pool with a waterfall. Many nights were spent in the bar area as our main gathering area laughing, talking and watching television. We can't say enough about the bedrooms as everyone was pleased with their views and privacy. The waterfall off the billiard room was pleasant while reading. The kitchen & dinning room were large enough to accommodate 13 without bumping elbows. Everything we needed in the kitchen was ready and waiting. The Main Gathering room was busy with the kids playing and adults reading. Our daughter enjoyed having the Inn Keepers Suite for her 1 1/2 year old as it was far enough away from the noise and activity to allow peaceful naps. We highly recommend North Tahoe Lodge and look forward to our next stay there. This place has it all -- luxury accommodations, hot tub, plunge pool, sauna, steam room, bar and lounge, theater room, and others amenities too numerous to mention. There was plenty of room for our party of more than a dozen adults to have meals or drinks together and later pull away to spend quiet time in our own suites. I found the place to be exceptionally clean and well-maintained The views from the great room windows are stunning. After a most enjoyable week with friends I left very well refreshed.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing.

Our big family of 2x people from Hong Kong spent 4 days in this house from Feb 11 - 15. Although the cleaning ladies are a bit late and are still there when we arrive at 6pm, the house is truly a very pleasant place to stay. All the rooms are fabulous, kitchen is fabulous and the big dinner table is what we need to feed 2x people at one time! The kids love the place, and my son spent his time watching NBA from the bar table (like a grown up). The Jacuzzi (although I did not have time to try) was great and the bathrooms are clean and tidy. The only suggestion I have is to add a Ping-Pong conversion table for the pool table so that it can be both a pool table and a ping pong table. We give it a 5-star rating and our family had such a wonderful time.Owner response: A good suggestion for adding a ping pong table top to the pool table, however our pool table is a full size professional table and it is just not possible. It would be like putting a ski rack on top of a formula-1 car....

I just finished spending a weekend at North Tahoe Lodge and was extremely pleased with the accommodations. The views are gorgeous, and the house itself is almost as beautiful. North Tahoe Lodge is a great place for large parties and has plenty of room for everyone. There were 25 of us and not a single person had any complaints. I would highly recommend this house for your large gathering getaway spot.Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, families with teenagers, adventure seekers.

What an amazing trip. The North Tahoe Lodge could not have been better. The location was beautiful, a quiet street with amazing views and sledding right outside the door. We could walk to the Donner lifts! The lodge itself was also perfect. It was the ideal balance of luxury and sturdy. Everything there was high end, comfortable and beautiful but you didn't have to feel like you were walking on glass for fear of ruining something. The spa is amazing. the decks connected by outside stairs were great for snow covered adventurers not tracking all over the place. Every level was well thought out and the kitchen and dining was ample for over 20 people. We can't wait to return next year!Recommended for: Families with young children, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing.

After looking at pictures of the lodge, the place looked too good to be true. Somehow, it was exactly as I wished/imagined. Four stories with a beautiful great room and kitchen, foosball and pool, an outdoor hot tub on one of the multiple huge patios, an indoor sauna, steamroom, and plunge pool, a great bar set up, etc. I've been renting homes and Tahoe for years and never have I stayed in one so nice, nor have I ever felt like I got as much bang for my buck. Close to Truckee, a short drive to the big ski resorts as well. Highly, highly recommend.Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, girls getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing.

I rented this place for my company holiday getaway. There was 25 of us and plenty of room! Everyone was excited at how nice it was and the size. 20 of us sat a the same table for dinner! It was nicer, bigger and better appointed then I imagined. We are all wanting to go back next year!Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing.

We had our Wedding Weekend at this beautiful lodge. We had our family and friends stay in the lodge with us. We had a Family/Friends BBQ on Friday before the wedding on Saturday. Our Wedding was on Saturday in the afternoon. We held it out on the deck that overlooks the valley. The setting was so beautiful there was no need for ceremony decorations ( I didn't want to take away from the scenery). The Polo Lounge was perfect for the bartender to serve up the cocktails. There was room for everyone at every level of the house. Kids and adults alike enjoyed the Game Room and the Theatre Room. We started each day with a trip to the Steam Room and the large spa--- what a perfect way to start each and every day. Each of our guests enjoyed their king size beds and beautiful bathrooms. The main theme to the comments from our guests was "This place is stunning and so peaceful". We would wake up to beautiful pink sunrises over the deck and enjoyed watching deer come up to the waterfall on the lower deck (of course, the firepit was on to add to the magic)! This was the perfect place for a celebration with family and friends. North Tahoe Lodge made for the Wedding of our lifetime! We truly could not want for anything more beautiful!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, tourists without a car.

This place far exceeded expectations. It was perfect for a large group and had everything you could imagine. It had a full espresso bar, steam/sauna rooms, jacuzzi, pool table, fooseball table, and much more. The views are incredible and the house was very up to date with the amenities. This is the perfect get away and only 10 mins from town. I would highly recommend this for large groups and hope to return someday.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 2/2
