Beautiful home on Mona Lake!
Beautiful home on Mona Lake!

My husband, our two daughters and my mom spent a lovely week at this beautiful house. The house itself is newly remodeled and is warm and inviting. The windows all along the back of the house afford great views of the lake. The master suite is big with French doors to two patios. The kitchen is well stocked and had everything we needed. Owners were very responsive to questions. We loved sitting out on the back patio, enjoying the outdoor propane fire. We were a little disappointed that Lake Mona isn't great for swimming (it looked very mucky), but loved the peaceful view it provided. Had a great meal at Hearthstone, yummy beer at Pints and Quarts, and survived the wooden roller coasters at Michigan Adventure!Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, age 55+.

My family of four stayed in this lovely home during a weeklong visit to see local relatives. This is such a nicely furnished and roomy home. It felt so relaxing and luxurious, it was hard to leave! We loved sitting in the front room and looking over the lake. The master suite is huge and beautiful. My mother was raving about how the house is decorated. We would definitely stay here again - this was tips among VRBO rentals we have visited, and a really excellent value. It is in a nice neighborhood and central to shopping and nearby attractions. I can't say enough good things about it.Recommended for: People with disabilities, girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

Absolutley beautiful property. The home is even better than the pictures show and the view is great. The large yard was great for the grand kids to play in and the the patio and decks were a great way to spend our afternoons. The fact that the lake connects to Lake Michigan was added plus for us! Owners were great. Very responsive for any questions and seemed genuinely concerned to ensure we had a great time. We have already reserved a week for next summer. Highly recommended.Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

Owner info
Year Purchased: 2004
About the owner: This has been a great home for us and our family. The home has been the meeting place to enjoy weekends on the lake for our family and friends. The house is extremely nice and we enjoy every moment we can get in this area.
Why the Owner Chose Muskegon:
We now live in Chicago and it is the perfect feel of up north yet has all the amenities and activities you could want. Not to mention lake Michigan access for pleasure boating.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
We enjoy water skiing, tubing and fishing on Mona Lake and then head out to lake Michigan for harbor hopping! Or just a day with the kids on some of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Many great barbecues on the patios as well! On those rainy days you can enjoy the movie theater or a afternoon in front of the 65 inch flat screen.
