Echoing previous reviews, Camp Windrush provides a perfect combination of a rustic feel and modern convenience. Our extended family, of all ages, enjoyed every minute of our stay. Individual cabins and the peaceful, secluded location offer privacy, while the large game room, the well-appointed kitchen, and spacious deck and dock areas offer gathering places for the whole family. Honestly, the pictures, while beautiful, do not do the place justice--it was even better than we expected! The owner, who was most accommodating, has maintained and updated Windrush for comfort, convenience and relaxation. We definitely would return and would recommend the property to anyone.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, adventure seekers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, families with young children.

The first thing that hits you when you walk into camp Windrush is the amazing kitchen. You think this is heaven and things couldn't get better. As you walk from the kitchen to the great room you know things are. It's old time charm mixed with all the comforts of home make it a wonderful place to wind down and relax after a great day on the lake. From there you walk out to the back porch with it's benches along the railings and feel as though you are living in the trees. The view of and walk to the lake are both wonderful. If are looking for a place to relax on the dock with family and friends or play and boat in the lake with your children and/or grandchildren I can't think of a better place. You'll love Windrush as much as my family did.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, adventure seekers, sightseeing, girls getaway, romantic getaway, families with young children.

Our family had the great pleasure of staying at Camp Windrush this past summer. We could not have been more pleased with our experience. Everything you need is included, especially incredible lake views, relaxing evenings on the porch and beautiful sunsets. The kitchens are big enough to easily prepare food for an army with plenty of fridge space to store it. There are two sets of washers and dryers that make life very easy. Windrush is very large, with plenty of room to spread out and have quiet time away from the rest of your extended family. There is space for every age group, from toddlers, teens and college students to older parents. We had a wonderful vacation.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, adventure seekers, families with young children.

Owner info
Year Purchased: 1996
About the owner: Camp Windrush is a private family compound that we have owned since 1996. The original camp was built in 1909 and was basically in original condition when we purchased it. We immediatly started a total restoration that included re-building all remaining original buildings and adding new amenities. The camp is now totally upgraded and restored but retains the feel of the original 1909 buildings. Windrush is a true Adirondack Great Camp, rustic but elegant, that cannot be replicated today.
