This house is a LowCountry style house which means it's up on pilings with parking underneath. It is 1550 sq ft with open living/dining area to kitchen and a 2 story cathedral ceiling making it feel very open. One bedroom and full master bath is downstairs with 2 others up sharing a bath. The front and rear porches are screened to enjoy the outside without the bugs. There is a small back deck with a gas grill on it and a patio area on the ground level to relax too. The beach is only a block down the road and the recreation center is close with a playground area. Tennis courts and basketball are also available there. Bike to the Restaurants or drive 20 minutes to downtown Charleston and other plantations and areas of interest. Wild Dunes golf course is a mile away on the Island also.

We had a great time at this vacation rental. the layout of the house is open and comfortable. The kitchen was amazing for a vacation home with all the amenities and a large refrigerator. The screened in porches were great places to relax and read. I wish there were more seating in the living area and a place to store or hang clothes in the bedrooms. But overall this home is the best deal on Isle of Palms.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, families with young children, girls getaway.
Owner response: I have now changed the single couch in the living room with a leather sectional so there is now plenty of sitting spaces.

We stayed at this house for one week in June 2012. The house is close to the beach and playground which was very nice. It also had a nice open feel with plenty of space (we had 2 adults and 2 children). The house had everything we needed for the beach (i.e. toys, chairs, cooler), and the kitchen was well stocked. This house was also NOT very clean inside. The carpet and furniture was dirty and stained. We also had bugs in the house throughout our whole stay. The two screened in porches advertised were either missing screens or the screens had holes in them. Only one burner out of three worked on the gas grill making dinner a chore. I would NOT recommend this house unless it is sprayed and cleaned thoroughly.Owner response: First bad response I've had. The carpet was shampoo'd just the week before the couch is being replaced this week(yes it needed it) and the bugs are normal for SC especially after a rain, but will be taking care of that too. Screens are finished. Come stay you'd be surprised.

Great location! Quaint house with nice deck, front porch, back yard. Comfortable bed in master bedroom, nice kitchen, big screen tv and piano in living room.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

My family of 6 adults stayed at this great house for our vacation in June and it was ideal! It had everything that we needed to make it a great vacation. And the beach was just a short walk away. I would definitely reccommend this house to anyone looking for a home away from home feel!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

We stayed at this property for a week in May 2011 and had a wonderful time. The house is lovely and perfectly located - a block away from the beach, and right next to a playground which was ideal for our 2 year old daughter. The owner did everything to make us feel right at home, and she was easy to reach and very helpful. I highly recommend this property for rental.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.

I just got back from staying in this house for 5 days..it was perfect! The owners are more than accommodating and the layout of the house is just perfect- very open and airy. It's only about a block from the beach too! I would definitely stay here again..and again and again! jaimeRecommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.
