This pet friendly, non-smoking unit, located in the Beach Retreat Condominium complex, is exceptional. One of the largest one bedroom floor plans in the area, the 945 square feet gulf front unit sleeps six and boasts a spectacular view of the Gulf of Mexico.
The expansive living area overlooks the white sugar sands of Miramar Beach and the sound of the crashing waves on the shore fill the space. The fourth floor balcony offers chaise lounges and a table and chairs for morning coffee or a relaxing afternoon with a good book.
The watercolor inspired décor offers a luxurious master suite for adults while offering a child friendly atmosphere for the easy comfort of vacation living with the kids. The suite also features a private bath and an entertainment center with ample storage housing a 27-inch TV and DVD player. The cozy bunkroom space is perfect for the children -- complete with TV/DVD/VCR combo unit for their own nighttime entertainment. A queen-size sleeper sofa accommodates additional guests.
Destin offers unlimited dining opportunities, but if staying in is your preferred dining experience, the kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need for an extended vacation stay. The dining table accommodates six and the bar comfortably seats an additional four.
The unit boasts ten foot ceilings, tile floors in the living, kitchen and hallway areas, central heating and air conditioning, a kitchen pantry, full size washer and dryer, trash chutes and on-site security.
The beautiful Tuscan exterior of this four story, 44-unit complex accentuates the luxurious living accommodations. The Beach Retreat complex features 300 feet of private gulf frontage, a 3,000 square foot heated pool, whirlpool, fitness center, barbecue grills, picnic area and sundeck, all surrounded by the lush tropical Florida landscape.

We loved our stay at the Beach Retreat. The condo was beautifully furnished, the view was spectacular, the swimming pool was wonderful and we have already booked our time next year. the owner was so cooperative and friendly and made us feel that the condo was completely ours during the time of our stay. We love the Destin area with all the good restaurants, golf courses and shopping. All in all it was a wonderful experience.Recommended for: Families with young children, pet owners, sightseeing, age 55+.

We always love our stay at BR. We've been staying there for a number of years and always have a good time. The condo is great and the view is perfect. My husband and our doggie, Bella, a Westie, have stayed in this condo for the same week the last 4 years! There is a reason we keep returning...the condo is always very clean, has everything we need including a great view of the beautiful white sand beach from the balcony and livingroom! Being on the 4th floor is great, much better than staying in one of the tall, crowded condo building. The location is great, restaurants nearby, shopping is very close, and walking is a breeze...right outside, oceanfront is a great place to walk. We would like to thank Michelle and her family for sharing this condo with us each year and hope to be back next year!!Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+, people with disabilities, girls getaway.

This condo was beautiful decorated and just really, very comfortable. Amazing king bed - had the best sleep of my life. The kitchen had everything I needed to make awesome breakfasts and lunches for us and our friends - plus, plenty of space for everyone to sit down and enjoy. Loved the throw rugs - made such a different in the way the condo felt. So many personal touches. I was skeptical, staying at a 1 bedroom this year, but I loved this condo so much more than previous ones! It made me want to STAY and live here - sorry, condo owners. :) Loved the top floor - loved the patio furniture. Everything was so well-maintained and I could tell that this just wasn't a rental property, but someone's HOME. Thanks so much for making our stay an even more memorable one! We really enjoyed our stay. The location is wonderful and the condo was very nice. It is a wonderful vacation spot for families. We have an almost 2 year old and 3 year old and they had a wonderful time. The beach was very nice, as was the pool. It was perfect for our family and we hope to return soon!Recommended for: Families with young children.

Beach Retreat was exactly what our family was looking for. The view from the balcony was beyond beautiful! The beach access was so convenient as were the pool facilities. The pool was very large and never felt crowded. The beach chairs and umbrella provided by the owners was an added bonus! We highly recommend this unit for families with children and pets. All of the people staying at Beach Retreat were friendly and kind to our children (and our dog!). The condo was convenient to restaurants, shopping and activities. Michelle accommodated our needs and was easy to work with!Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, pet owners.

The unit was exactly as described and very clean when we arrived. The location is very nice with two beach front restaurants within walking distance. The area is very beautiful with nice landscaping, green grass and well maintained walking paths. Very pet friendly unit and area. Our puppy met a lot of new friends while there. We would recommend this unit and the area to family, friends, or anyone looking for a very nice place to stay. The bunk room is really cute and great for young children with private full bath, TV and nautical decorations. Ready to go back as soon as possible. This was our second stay at this property and it was yet again wonderful. The beaches are oil free and beautiful. Michelle is wonderful to work with! It was fun going back this year and seeing the new additions to the condo since our last visit. We love this location on the beach and this condo! About the owner: Growing up in Alabama, the Florida Panhandle was always our choice for a beach get-away. When we were younger, Destin was a sleepy little community with the most beautiful white sandy beaches and very little to do. Over the years, we've watched it grow into a beautiful beach resort community with the finest accommodations, dining, shopping and wonderful family acitivites. We've enjoyed a family cottage in Destin for many, many years, and added our ocean view condominium just a few years ago. The sun, the sound of the ocean, the sea breeze and the feel of the smooth white sand beneath your feet just does something to relax the soul and we find that peace everytime we are there.
Why the Owner Chose Beach Retreat:
Beach Retreat is in the Miramar Beach area in between the city limits of Destin and the SanDestin Beach Resort area. We enjoy the convenience of having great shopping and restaurants just a few miles in either direction and the incredible ocean views without the hustle and bustle of downtown. The low rise, Italian look of the exterior and one of the largest one-bedroom floor plans with high ceilings was also a plus, but the view and the 3000 square foot swimming pool sealed the deal.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
We most enjoy the view and sound of the surf from our balcony. Our children most enjoy building sandcastles, searching for sea shells, snorkeling, the volleyball games that pick up along the beach, and boating in the bay. We also enjoy riding our bikes along the bike and walking trail to a park just a few miles away, and often will stop by the sidewalk cafe for a smoothie on the way back. The family concerts at Baytowne are wonderful in the evenings and the movies are close by as well.
