  The house was wonderful!! Very comfortable inside, but loved the backyard. Like having our own private pool and grill etc. We ate our meals outside and when not at the beach, we were in the pool. The kids loved it!

  Sorry to say that I would not recommend this rental. Without going into tedious detail, reasons include: Owner responsiveness (I had to send multiple emails on reminders for getting the keys, getting my deposit back, getting workman there for repairs), condition of house (back door would not lock, trash and junk all over yard, and fence broken). It was a huge hassle before I arrived, while I was there, and then for over a month afterward. The owner did agree to refund about half of what I thought was fair considering the amount of time and money I spent dealing with the property conditions, and then after requesting my deposit and refund repeatedly, he sent a check that was even less than what he said he would be sending. I did not file a complaint as I just wanted this to be behind me. I have had many pleasant, easy and wonderful VRBO rentals prior to this at other houses, so I was really disappointed about this experience.

  My wife and I really enjoyed our stay. David is a great host. The only complaint is we didn't have longer.

  We stayed at this hours in early August. It was the best house we have rented. It has a great combination of amenities, especially for the price! The neighborhood was quiet and the neighbors very pleasant. The beach is private for residents only and there is even parking if you don't want to walk a few blocks. Because it is quiet, it seems to attract lots of wildlife. We saw at least 5 dolphins in front of the beach. I thought the pool would be a waste with the beach right down the road, until I stayed there. Having a pool by the grill for the kids to hang out at while cooking dinner is awesome! The owner seemed very nice and the house was very clean. My wife even asked the owner for info on the carpet because it was so nice. For you techies, the internet was super fast! The access was easy with shopping with a couple minutes in every direction, including Pier Park.

  this house was perfect for our vacation. the location of the house was close to pier park and right down the street from the beach so we didn't have to travel far during our stay. loved the private backyard and pool. can't wait to vacation again.

  Very comfortable house. The backyard pool area was a lot of fun for our kids. Loved that the beach was right down the street and that the house was so close to a lot of places. I would definitely recommend this place to my friends and family.

  Multiple issues with this house when we stayed here. Bottom line....the property is not properly maintained by the owner. Broken fence, dirty yard, moldy shower curtain liners, dirty pool are just a few of the problems we encountered. The owner was responsive to our complaints.....however it should not have been rented in that condition. It is close to shopping/dining.....but is located on a very busy street w/lots of traffic.

  Owner response: There is not much yard to the house and yes, the grass is dead in the heat of summer. It is not a botanical garden. There is a nice pool and a patio and the house itself is immaculate. The pool was very dirty I understand when she arrived and had the pool company come out the next day and cleaned it. I also gave her $100 refund because she couldn't swim the first two days of her stay. Was not aware of a broken fence so I am looking into that now and the shower curtains are being addressed with my cleaning company. People do cut through our side street to get to the beach, but it is not on a main road with fast traffic.

  We loved this place. Very convenient to everything - Pier Park is right around the corner. You are very close to everything yet not in all the congestion. The beach is right at the end of the street with private access. The home is very spacious, clean and well equipped. The pool & patio area are a nice retreat. The bedrooms are very large and on opposite sides of the home so you have some privacy from other guests. We will be staying here again!
