Just 5 minutes north of Radium Hot Springs, Black Bear Cottage is a luxurious and unique vacation home. A few of its many features are a private loft master bedroom with a spacious well appointed ensuite bathroom, a large second bedroom with two double beds and a stunning floor to ceiling wood burning stone fireplace.
Our cottage is very comfortable and completely equipped with all the amenities of home that you will require including plush Egyptian cotton towels and bathrobes, high thread count pressed cotton sheets, additional cozy throws for wrapping yourself up on the couch during that movie, Cobblestone Creek signature spa bath products and our own roasted and ground coffee, an assortment of teas and hot chocolate, sugar, salt, pepper, tin foil, stretch wrap, zip lock bags, dishwashing soap, hand soaps, household cleaners, paper products including ultra plush toilet paper, kleenex, a fully stocked kitchen including dishes, cups and utensils for 12, bake and serve ware, waffle, coffee machine, grill, popcorn popper, blender, hand mixer, coffee grinder and a kettle all so you can relax and be pampered while enjoying the beauty of the mountains just outside your back door.
We'll even shop for the grocery's if you like and ensure the fridge is filled upon your arrival!
Do you need to complete some work while on your vacation? We have wifi and a 3 in 1 printer available for your convenience.
Activities are as abundant as your imagination. Perhaps you want to try some fishing, only a 5 minute walk down to the Columbia River, while the kids explore the forest behind the cottage. Other activities include exploring over 25 golf courses or 8 ski hills which range between 15 minutes to 2 1/2 hours from our cottage. Cross country ski out our back door or 15 minutes away on the Columbia Valley Cross Country Ski trails. There is also hiking, horse back riding, sleigh rides, snowmobiling, ice skating on the local rink, mountain biking, riding your ATV in the backcountry, maybe a dip in one of our local hot springs, a swim in Lake Windermere or browse through the many shops along main street Radium or Invermere. A fun activity many families enjoy is a round of golf at our local 9 hole Par 3 golf course (Edgewater Hilltop) only 10 minutes away. After the golf game, be sure to enjoy a homemade breakfast, lunch or dinner in the clubhouse. And don't forget to ask for a slice of Jeanette's homemade pie from the selections that are available everyday.

We absolutely loved our stay at the cabin. There was plenty of room for all of us (4 adults and 2 children 11 months old). The cabin had everything we needed to cook our meals and relax after the kids went to bed. We appreciated all of the little details like comfy blankets, bath robes, a basket of toiletries incase you forgot any, and board games. What made our stay even better was the excellent customer service. We are looking forward to going back next year.

From the start of finding a home for my family to spend a break and relax was easy; talking with Matt via email was like talking to a friend who was excited to send me to their home away from home. Matt made the process easy and put my mind at ease on what to expect, from the amenities of the cottage to a list of activites & events in the area. We arrived in the late evening, the outside lights were left on which made that and Matt's simple directions easy to find the cottage. The driveway was cleared of snow and they had left a few lights on inside so once inside the cottage we could see right to the back deck. Inside, the home is just as the pictures depict; beautiful and well kept. A special thank you to the people that clean the cottage as it is spotless!! After a peaceful sleep, we all slept in, I had a lovely surprise while I was washing baby bottles; beautiful mountain peaks outside the window and then opening up the front door to step on to the deck and seeing mountains on the other side of the cottage. Beauty inside surrounded by beauty outside. Enjoy waffles for breakfast using the Cuisinart Waffle Maker, a nice cup of Cobblestone coffee with your biscotti and a popcorn maker to use during movie time or visiting time - the cottage truly is equipped with all the comforts of home. So many things to enjoy; long walks loving the geography & the beautiful sunshine, cards in front of the floor-to-ceiling fireplace, laying on the carpet in front of the fireplace with our baby enjoying the view out the back & our family time, movies or watching the hockey on the big screen through the satellite. Radium Hot Springs 10 minutes away, Invermere 20 minutes away, Golden is an hour & fifteen from the cottage or just enjoy everything the cottage has to offer. We are already planning another return to Cobblestone Creek Cottages. Thank you Matt!

We had a great stay at the cottage during the 2011 holiday season. The property was clean, well maintained, and nicely decorated. The kitchen was well appointed and the living room very cozy with the impressive fireplace, blankets and pillows. The Christmas decorations were a nice touch. I would recommend this property to a friend. We had a great time at the hot springs!

When we arrived we were more thrilled both cottages were fabulous. There was everything and more and the ladies just kept being amazed every time they opened a door and saw something they'd love to have in their own home - from the christmas theme to the sliding coffee machine in blackbear, to bubble hockey in cobblestone, the warm blankets all over the place, bathroom skylights and soft housecoats, everything was just perfect. early january and we're having a bbq. go figure. kids loved all the games. nothing like teaching kids to play old school board games like sorry. two deer came right up to the porch to drink water two of the mornings and again we all just watched in amazement. both places were extremely comfortable, spaceous and inviting. the weather was warm. we went on nature walks down to the railway tracks and ran into a couple of grouse. thanks by the way for the pool passes. so a grand merci from all of us. we're already hoping this becomes an annual event. happy new year. gonna try and work some dates out for golfing radium this summer.
